“My Alpha’s Secret”

As she walked in she didn’t see anyone and just decided to walk up to her room. She sat down on her bed which consisted of purple walls with pictures everywhere and cream color bed set and cream colors pillows all silk. She looked up to her dresser as she saw a picture of her and Xavier smiling with their arms over each other. Not in a romantic way but friendly and smiled. She desperately wanted to find out what was going on with her best friend.

She needed to find out at this point because he’s never been weird until today.

She got up from her bed and walked out heading to the Alpha’s office. He was the Alpha of the pack already since his father died early and decided to take it on and finish school.

I was about to knock when I heard hush voices inside. I put my ear to the door to listen and it sounded like Xavier and Clinton whispering and I moved my ear closer to hear the conversation better.

“She’s your mate Xavier,you can’t deny it and I don’t understand why you’re so upset about it. She’s a special person to you”Clinton said looking at him as he was confused himself.

Xavier sighed and ran his hands through his hair before sighing again frustrated.

“You also do realize I have an obligation to the pack and they need my full attention”Xavier said giving him a blank look. Clinton raised his eyebrow at him as he was still confused and sighed before he opened his mouth again.

“You have a partner in crime,your mate but only you know it X. She can’t feel the bond yet but you can. An I know it’s driving you in sane to not be near her right now and mark here and it probably means more because of who she is to you. You can’t fight or what the moon goddess set for you. That’s a bond that a lot of people can’t get,don’t find it or lose it. I will support whatever your choice is but you need to think this through carefully.”Clinton said crossing his arms shaking his head sitting on the couch that was in there staring at his best friend.

“I think you also forgot there was someone who we can’t by pass who will hurt her. I have no choice my hands are tied. I will never forgive myself if she got hurt. There will no white picket fence for us only turmoil and pain. I can’t watch her go through that Clinton I won’t”Xavier replied looking at his hands with a blank stare almost with tears in his eyes.

“You’re the Alpha of this pack? Your not willing to fight her over them. They can’t be that bad X,you’re really gonna give her up after so many years. You two would be unstoppable I think,you can’t protect her from everything. You don’t want her to be your mate or her to be your Luna?”Clinton asked staring at him rolling his eyes sick of Xavier’s excuses at this point. He didn’t want anyone to get hurt in this situation.

Avery pulled her ear away from the door confused and she walked down the hallway to the backyard. It was a tiring day for her,she was worried but now she wanted to see who her best friend’s mate was. Her heart ached that he was thinking about rejecting her and she closed her eyes defeated feeling heartbroken for him.

She still was curious of who the mysterious person they were thinking of who would hurt his mate and it angered her. Xavier seemed like he was terrified of that and she felt a sadness deep within her for him.

She needed to clear her head and go for a run,she made her way in to the forest before stripping and shifting in to her wolf form

Her wolf was beautiful which was white with a silver lining surprisingly. No one ever saw her wolf because she felt it looked weird and didn’t wanna draw attention to herself.

She moved forward towards the tree’s before springing through the forest her paws hitting against the pavement and the wind blowing in her fur.

Avery hadn’t felt this free in a while as she zoomed through the tree’s and giggling inside her head.

“Took you long enough!”Her wolf Sapphire chimed in at her grumpily.

Her wolf stopped talking for a month since that’s the last she shifted and she was mad at her.

“Shut up! You know I think we look like a freak and I don’t like to shift to draw attention.”I replied in my head as I smirked running faster as my paws hit the pavement before jumping into the air and coming to sit in front of a clearing.

I leaned my head on my paws staring at my reflection in the water.

“Beautiful aren’t we?”Sapphire ask as I giggle at her in my head.

“Self-absorbed aren’t we?”I asked her back as she laughs at me.

I closed my eyes breathing in the night air just relaxing. I know I’ve been out here for hours but Sapphires loving every moment of it.

“You’ll be 18 in about a minute you know and then we can finally find our mate!”She says jumping up and down in my head.

“A minute?”I asked confused in shock not realizing how long I’ve actually been out here.

“Relax I’m here with you,I got your back girl!”Sapphire replies giggling as I shake my head at her.

I stand up to take a sip of water from the clearing to calm my nerves.

I pull away to smell something,it’s different and it makes my mouth water.

It smelled like cinnamon and Mint and I whimpered trying to find it looking all around at the trees.

“Mate!”Sapphire bellowed whimpering herself.

“It’s our mate,I can smell him but I don’t see him Avery. Please find him.”She said begging whimpering now.

My heart ached for her,it really did.

I felt her pain as I was searching too before someone or something had stepped out of the shadows.

It was a black wolf with grey eyes and she tilted her head at it.

Her eye widened as she whimpered some more as a flash of earlier’s events popped into her head.

“It’s Xavier Sapphire.”she replied looking sadly at him.

She heard a growl as he could sense something was off.

She turned around and sprang running soundlessly through the woods.

“He knew he was my mate Sapphire! I can’t believe him.”she snapped sadly as Sapphire hummed in response sad but at his betrayal also.

“He heard his conversation earlier Too didn’t you?”Avery asked hoping she didn’t.

She whimpered silently as a response to let me know she did.

Avery sighed sadly to herself and picked up speed as I heard him behind me now.

As she got closer to the pack house she shifted behind a tree before slowly walking towards the house hearing bones crack and someone throwing clothes on.

“Are you still going to keep running from me A?”she heard from behind her and her head snapped towards him.

“Are you?”She snapped as his scent filled her lungs and made her head dizzy.

He was definitely making this hard but she was pissed off right now and hearing Sapphire whimper was pissing her off even more.

Xavier betrayed her,his wolf betrayed Sapphire also.
