“Prom Attack”

Avery’s mouth dropped when she saw the white limo sitting outside and Noah hanging out the top with a bottle of bubbly in his hand smiling at her in a white tux with purple shirt and tied underneath.

“Hey doll,you look gorgeous,I knew I had impeccable taste!”Noah shouted at her as he laughed.

Avery ran a little bit to the limo excited as the door open and sat beside Noah inside.

She looked around inside to see how big it was with blue lights on the ceiling.

She turned towards Noah and laughed giggling at it.

“Noah this is amazing!”Avery gushed as he handed her a cup of bubbly.

“Thanks Avery! All the best for my friend!”Noah replied as they clinked their glasses together making their way to the prom.

The room held bright lights flashing everywhere in the darkness as the scent of food and liquor on mostly everyone inside.

Avery giggled inside on Noah’s arm as his boyfriend at the time decided to show up.

“Avery this is Liam,my boyfriend.”Now shouted over the music.

“Nice to meet you Liam.”Avery shouted back as began to dance in a circle in the middle of the dance floor just them three before they heard the Dj stop the music.

“Than you Everyone for joining the Prom tonight. Let’s slow this thang down for the ladies and gents for a while.”The dj said before putting on a slow song.

“This is where I leave you.”Avery said as she walked off to leave Noah and his boyfriend alone to sit down in a chair watching the couples slow dance across the room.

Avery sighed to herself wishing that could be her,she could dance with Xavier but would it be fair. She still wanted to know she was upset with him.

“Well you could always Dance with Onyx since it seems like he’s coming this way.”Sapphire murmured purring in her head.

Avery shook her head and laughed,she found Onyx really attractive and Xavier but it was hilarious how Sapphire could switch so fast.

Avery looked up an say Onyx bending down towards her with a hand out smiling gently at her.

“Will you give me this opportunity for a dance Avery,please?”Onyx asked,Avery slowly took his hand as her heart beat against her chest.

“Girl,can you be anymore obvious,Jesus. You gotta make him sweat too. You heard what Xavier said.”Sapphire snapped and Avery rolled her eyes again.

She swore her wolf was bi-polar at this point.

They made there way to the dance floor as she put her one of her hands on his arm and then the other on the other side as his engulfed around her waist as they began to sway back and forth.

“Wow,you’re a really good dancer Onyx,Did you teach yourself?”Avery asked curiously looking up at him as he laughed a little.

“No,they made me take all types of classes when I was younger. I’m the Alpha of Silver creek pack”Onyx replied as Avery’s eye’s widen.

“Wait a minute,your prince Onyx?”Avery asked blinking surprised as she stared at him letting him go.

“Yes Avery I am and I’m here to court you as my mate. That’s all I care about at the moment.”Onyx said staring at her as he grabbed one of her hands.

“Onyx do you know-Avery was cut off as something crashed through the side of the brick wall and was sent flying across the room.

Everyone ran around out the room,Avery looked up groaning as Onyx threw his body over her as if he was a shield.

Their eyes met and she gulped as his scent was let off to calm her down. She smiled gently at him.

“Oh big bad prince is a protecter,I like it.”Sapphire purred in her head and Avery couldn’t help but bust out laughing at her.

Onyx gave her a weird look a she shook her head at him.

They both looked over to see a giant black wolf fighting a brownish-red wolf about the same size circling each other.

Avery looked around as Onyx moved her behind him as they slowly made their way out the gym.

“Avery have Onyx bring you back to the pack house,there was breach in the border. We didn’t get there in time. I’m sorry your prom was ruined I’ll make it up to you I promise.”She heard Xavier say through the mind-link.

Avery’s eyes shot to the wolves to see them fighting relentlessly and realizing the black wolf was Xavier and her heart thudded against her chest and begin to feel worry all over her body.

“X please be careful,don’t get hurt.”Avery responded back to him.

“Awww you’re worried about your big bad Alpha. s**t I would be too if we couldn’t have him again.”Sapphire chimed in.

“Is it really time for your s****l thoughts?”Avery snapped annoyed now as she watched Xavier through the wolf back around the room.

“Avery I’ll be fine just have Onyx protect you right now. I know he’ll protect you with your life,he’s your mate also.”Xavier replied as the wolf somehow got the back of his ankle and he cried out angrily.

“No!”Avery shouted as both wolfs looked towards her as her eyes widened a the reddish wolf began to stalk towards her before Xavier jumped on it a bit into its neck as it whimpered out.

Avery watched in horror as he threw a chunk of the wolf’s skin across the room where the wolf’s throat was and it marked the intruder dead.

Avery stared at Xavier in horror as he shifted-mid air grabbing a pair of pants that one of the guys left behind before moving towards Avery.

Onyx pulled Avery up with him taking her hand to turn towards Xavier.

Xavier looked down at their hands and tightened his jaw sighing.

“We need to get to the pack house to divide a plan apparently. The rest of our of guards have handled the rest of the threats but I have a feeling that’s not the last one.”Xavier said gently taking my hand out of Onyx’s and leading us down the path to the pack house with Onyx right behind us.

“I’m sorry I’m a jealous asshole A,I tried to let him hold your hand back here but I couldn’t do it. Our wolfs were fighting against each other so hard. My wolf won.”Xavier said in my mind-link as he opened the door to the pack house leading us into his study.

His beta Clinton and Gamma Levi was standing in the room around the desk.

Apparently Noah,Ezra and his boyfriend were sitting on the couch across the room.

“Woah.”Avery said as all the heads snapped to her in the room.

“Why is this man and these two other idiots in my study?”Xavier asked annoyed staring at his beta.

Clinton rubbed his neck nervously before answering.

“They were worried about Avery,Noah tried to get to her when all that broke out but His boyfriend kinda panicked and took him out of there because he didn’t want him to get hurt.”Clinton replied as I turned to look at one of the males on the couch in a purple suit matching Avery’s dress.

“So this was the man I was jealous of?”I mumbled under my breath for no one to hear.

“She’s fine Noah.”I responded as I showed him her in front of him as he hopped up and engulfed her in a tight hug.

“I’m so sorry Avery,I tried to get to you but this i***t dragged me out of there before I could grab you. Bad boyfriend.”Noah said letting go and hitting the man on the arm as he rolled his eyes.

“It’s okay,Onyx and Xavier kept me safe.”Avery responded smiling gently at him as my heart warmed for her mentioning me.

I let Avery’s hand go as she sat next to Noah on the couch.

“Clinton,Levi what happened? Do you know any information about the attack or how this happened?”I asked staring at both of them and Clinton sighed.

“Apparently Levi was able to get information from one wolf before he killed him. He said one of our enemy packs caught whiff that Avery was your mate and decided to ambush tonight to get to her. They wanna hold her for leverage for something.”Clinton said shaking his head before looking at Avery sadly.

“So wait I’m the main pawn again,f**k!”Avery snapped crossing her arms on her chest.

“We need to up the guards and keep Avery somewhere where no one would find her.”Levi chimed in thinking heavily.

“The only place I can think of is the shelter but there’s no bed’s or necessities there. We’d have to go there each hour and check on her. They might follow though,so it could be no help.”Clinton replied tapping his foot against the floor flustered worries for one of his best friend’s safety.

“I know this isn’t ideal but she could stay with me.”Noah chimed in as he looked around at everyone.

“That won’t do Noah,dad already has me following you but I know I’m not the one he has spy on you. I can get away with helping because I’m your step brother but that’s it. It won’t do any good.”Ezra replied giving Avery a pitiful look.

“f*****g Douche bag my father is.”Noah stated shaking his head annoyed through gritted teeth.

“If I may bargain a solution here Alpha Xavier.”Onyx said quietly before Xavier raised an eyebrow at him.

“It’s not happening Onyx.”Xavier snapped staring him down.

“It would be better,there’s guards and 24/7 acres to everything I have. I have more patrols and guards Xavier.”Onyx reasoned and Xavier still glared at him.

“No Onyx,I’m not letting my mate go with you. I’ll die before I let that happen.”Xavier snapped sitting on his chair.

“Avery don’t you love seeing two wolfs fight over us.”Sapphire chimed in all giddy.

Avery rolled her eyes annoyed again,sometimes she loved her,other times she annoyed her like this.

“Actually X,I hate to admit it but it’s not a bad idea.”Clinton said turning to his best friend.

Xavier glared at him,then looked at Levi who looked down.

“Oh damn it man,you agree too?”Xavier asked him as he said nothing and looked around the room.

“I hate to say it but she’ll be safer there than with any of us.”Clinton said as he looked around and everyone nodded there head.

Xavier closed his eyes sighing before turning towards Avery with a frown.

“I’m sorry A,what do you want baby?”Xavier asked running his hand through his hair.

Avery’s eyes widen as everyone turned towards look at her and she frowned. She’s been in the pack since she was a little girl,now she was target here.

“Would I be any safer with you Onyx,your actually the prince. Aren’t you more of a target than me? If they find out I’m your mate as well,all hell will break loose like here.”Avery asked staring at him tilting her head.

Onyx stared at her before walking over and bending down on one knee and grabbing her hand.

She could feel Xavier’s energy going off feeling Onyx was a threat. The tension made it hard to breathe sometimes with them.

“I understand your concerns but I can protect you better then there and we have more guards a patrols there then here.”Onyx said reassuring her rubbing small circles on her hand.

She sighed immediately calming down feeling the sparks from him also.

“I will go with you tonight but I wish to speak with Xavier first.”Avery responded as he nodded and stood up giving Xavier a look.

Everyone turned towards him and Avery cleared her throat.

“Alone,please.”Avery said her eyes darting at everyone. They looked taken back since the knew she was upset with him.

“Very well then,everyone let’s leave them to it. Follow me.”Clinton replied getting up as everyone followed.

Onyx gave them one last look before turning on his heel and closing the door.
