Avery snatched her hand out of Xavier’s and smiled at Clinton as she made her way towards his car.

Xavier growled lowly and knocked his lamp beside him across the room.

“Hot heat.”Avery mumbled as his eyes Snapped towards outside the door glaring at Clinton.

He was pissed but he already messed up enough and didn’t wanna take it out on her even though she just pissed him off.

“Hey dude,I’ll take A to school today. Find your own ride.”Clinton said smirking at him before pulling off.

Xavier growled again annoyed and glared at the retreating Vehicle leaving the pack house pissed off mumbling under his breath.

“Hey A,I think the big bad Alpha’s mad for some reason?”Clinton asked chuckling at her as she smiled at him.

“Also happy birthday!”Clinton continued handing her a small rectangle violet box from his console.

“For me?”Avery asked in a mischievous tone smirking before opening the lid and inspecting it.

It was a beautiful silver tennis bracelet with a moon crescent in the middle of the color emerald green.

She gasped and Looked at Clinton as he smiled at her.

“Thank you,it’s gorgeous!”She gushed as she put it on her wrist and gave him a side hug as he laughed at her.

“You’re welcome.”Clinton replied pulling his glasses up and laughing at her.

She turned her to look out the window and lean her head on her hand without noticing the bracelets gem was glowing the moment she put it on as the sped on the road on the way to school.

She leaned her head further on her hand and closed her eyes as she smelled everything around her.

Wolf’s had keen sense of smell and because she just turned 18 everything heightened all her senses.

She smiled as she smelled the fresh scent of cut grass and could smell water from miles away.

She hearing enhanced as well as she cringed looking around at all the people walking by.

She huffed out a breath annoyed as her peaceful morning was cut short and rolled her eyes.

“Perfect”She mumbled sarcastically as Clinton helped her out of the car.

“What’s wrong A?”Clinton asked taking her hand and helping her Down from the jeep.

She stopped as he heard a growl across the courtyard and looked up confused to see Xavier glaring at them.

“He can’t be serious right now.”Clinton mumbled and rolled his eyes letting go of her hand.

Avery scoffed glaring at him from across the courtyard before his eyes softened at her.

“He doesn’t get to be not after lying to me like that! How boastful of an Alpha he is! Jerk!”Avery snapped glaring at him as he growled a little bit.

“Shut it dog!”Avery said outraged at his antics now.

Clinton’s eyes widened and stiffened beside Avery and turned to look at Xavier this time.

Clinton watched as Xavier’s body started shaking before he turned and left.

“Avery!?”Clinton said turning towards her as she was still staring at the spot he was in a minute ago.

“I know you’re upset and have every right to be but calling an Alpha a dog is overboard even for you.”Clinton said cautiously before she looked at him and glared.

“Whose side are you right now Clint?”Avery asked annoyed now.

“I’m on your side but he’s still your Alpha Avery.”Clinton said as she cut her eyes at him.

“And he was my best friend before he lied to me! He wasn’t supposed to hurt me like this! He also had my trust,that I found out last night he broke it big time!”Avery snapped crossing her arms across her chest huffing out a breath.

“Yes but maybe found out his reasons first maybe.”Clinton replied raising an eyebrow at her as she glared harder this time and held up his hands in surrender.

Avery stalked off walking to class annoyed now with both her best friends.

“I can’t believe him!”Sapphire chimed in a low tone.

“Don’t worry about it Sapphire Clinton will learn once Xavier lies to him too.”She replied making her way into the classroom.

She looked up and saw Xavier in the doorway making his way over to his seat next to her.

She started drawing her sketchbook ignoring him as he kept trying to whisper her name.

“Avery!”He growled next to her before she glared at him.

“Leave me tf alone Xavier now!”Avery snapped through gritted teeth.

Xavier’s eyes widened in shock that she cursed at him.

She never yelled or cursed at him before and he blinked in shock.

“Do not yell at me,I’m your alpha!”Xavier snapped in a whisper.

“And I’m your mate jerk face!”Avery snapped back low enough for only him to hear.

Xavier’s face fell before turning to look to the front with a scowl on his face.

“You should know forgiveness doesn’t come easy,especially after what you did Xavier. Why don’t you just reject me now so I can go to my second mate.”Avery said a Xavier growled next to her in his seat violently.

The room grew silent between them and a tension became thick as Xavier snapped his head towards her.

“Why would I let you go to someone who plans on hurting you A!”Xavier snapped looking at her.

“You mean like you already did i***t!”She snapped back outraged at him now.

Xavier growled lowly before punching his desk and splitting it through the middle.

A classmate looked over and his eyes widened.

“Dude you gotta tell me how much you bench or take whatever you’re on. Incredible Hulk much! s**t!”He said nodding grinning at Xavier as Xavier glared at him before getting up and storming out the classroom.

“Grumpy Alpha.”Avery mumbled as she smiled at the boy figuring he was one of the human’s that went there and had to be new.

“Your boyfriend’s hot!”He said giving two thumbs up and winking at her

Avery’s mouth opened widen and she groaned embarrassed before putting her head down on her desk.
