Raoul Raven: You really need to stop texting me at 2 a.m. I smirked at that as I lay down on my bed. Raoul: You replied. Within 10 seconds. Raven: You're annoying. Go to sleep. I chuckled at that and said goodnight. After a month of being with her, I didn't have to and didn't know that I was doing it but I managed to learn something about her. I know her favorites. I know a soft child-like side of her when she's alone but when she's out in the public she has this cold aura that she has to constantly show so that people won't keep looking down on her. I know her favorite color is red. When inside of a meeting if she stares at the document in front of her, she wants to dismiss the meeting. She always orders takeouts and doesn't go to her company's cafeteria. She has a mood board that is always set for a week wherein she pins new quotes every monday and that is her quote of the week. I managed to slid a brillant quote of mine on her mood board that was very obvious because her post-it notes are all in a light red while mine was white. Red is indeed her color. Powerful. Intense. Untouchable and love. ...Yeah. Love. She took care of me once and that one moment I knew she's so capable of loving. She deserves to be loved. I couldn't help but to feel furious as to why did Ethan waste someone like her? I managed to visit my firm a bit and saw it was doing okay, I drove to her company. People greeted me as I enter the hallway but before proceeding to my office, I went to the break room to have coffee. I opened the cabinet only to find my favorite mug is missing. My brows furrowed to look around and saw Raven making coffee... on my mug. I quickly went closer to her. "Good morning," I greeted and she just looked at me then nodded. "Seriously?" I can't help it anymore. "What?" She asked. "That's my mug." I pointed at the mug she's holding right now. "It was abandoned. I rescued it." She grinned. "That's my initial on it." I pointed the big R. "And? it's my initial too actually... R for Raven..." She shrugged and walked away. I narrowed my eyes on her and crossed my arms. This woman. I quickly followed her and walked along beside her. "You know that you own this company. You could have a custom-made platinum mug if you wanted." She stopped walking and took a small and slow sip. I know it was to tease me. "Exactly. And yet I chose yours. Let that sink in that brillant mind of yours." She winked and continued to go inside of her office. I went to her secretary's table who's startled at my presence. "What is the mug of your boss?" I asked. "Uhm... It is a white and red mug with cute little hearts on it. You'll see her name engrave at the bottom of the mug." She smiled and said my thanks before going back to the break room. I went to the mug cabinet and saw hers. Dammit. There's a board meeting today morning and here I am bringing her cutesy mug inside the conference room. Good thing she was the only and first person inside. "I'll drink from this." I raised her mug. "But know this means war." I jokingly threatened her and she smirked back while bringing my mug closer to her lips. "Been a war since you always finish my favorite coffee." She arched a brow and I returned that gaze. Right... Since I knew how her coffee is since I asked her secretary, she uses a specific coffee powder that is a little different from the common ones and all people in this floor, knows that, that powder belonged to her and now it belongs to us. After a quick morning meeting, she stood up, sipping from my mug and walked out like a queen. I rolled my eyes and stared at the mug with... small hearts. "I like the professionalism." A guy next to me said. "Excuse me?" I clarified. "The whole office knows boss and you are dating yet inside the office you both remain professional. Just saying." He smiled then walked away. What does he mean professional? Men here thinks that I'm not a boyfriend? Am I not being boyfriend enough? Professional? I scoffed. I quickly closed my laptop and went to her office. She looked up to me while speaking on her phone just acknowledging my presence. The call ended within a minute. "What can I do for you, Mr. Grey?" She asked. "I need to be boyfriend enough." I ranted and her lips parted at what I said. "You need to wha-what?" She raised a brow. "Apparantly the whole office thinks we're professional despite of what they know outside of this office. We need to make it believable that we're not fake-dating at least." She shrugged. "At least everyone knows we're dating, right?" "Not enough. They need to see it with their own two eyes." I said, not satisfied. "How can we compromise, Mr. Grey?" She leaned back on her chair with her arms crossed, face mocking as to why am I asking for more. "We can't be together while going to work because you always visit your firm..." She hummed while thinking wherein I know it was just teasing. "We can't have lunch together because our schedules don't really align unless I want to." She mocked more. I scoffed and went out of her office. As soon as I got out her secretary is preparing a sandwich to deliver it to her boss. "Give it to me." I ordered. "But, Sir-" "Give it to me and let me deal with her." She gave the sandwich to me and I went to my office. Enjoying the stolen sandwich. A few minutes later look who barged into my office? "That's mine." She gritted her teeth. I looked at her as she was staring at the half eaten chicken sandwich. I raised my brow, acting. "No?" I acted dumb. "It had my name on it." I showed the wrapper that has the initial written "R" "It had an "R". That's not a full name." She crossed her arms while her brows furrowed and I find it amusing. "Well. you didn't claim it fast enough." I mocked and took a bite out of her sandwich. She narrowed her eyes on me and I did not just smirk but I did finish the sandwich in front of her, her favorite sandwich. She walked out not saying anything. I shrugged and just continued with work. But later that day her secretary came into my office. "A delivery from Ms. Buenaventura." She smiled and placed a sandwich that has a red post-it note. Her secretary got out before I put my full attention to this sandwich that is newly made. Let's see if this one tastes like guilt. - 'R' I couldn't help but laugh at her note.
