Cole's Story

Mikael's POV "What are you doing here? You haven't been here for years, and now you show up. I should have my guards skin you alive! I thought you were the best hunter money could buy, but obviously, I was mistaken. Speak your mind, Mikael, before you die." Marcus says to me. "Hear me out, Marcus, I found the child. It's a girl, and the only reason I could never have found her is that a magical school protected her that witches shield from all magic and supernatural beings." I reply. "It must be one of my brother's allies. He has many allies and friends all over the world. Well, never mind, I'm just glad you finally did what I asked you, but your task is still not completed yet. The child must die as she poses a threat to my throne, so does that little b***h Melissa and my treacherous brother Gabriel." Marcus says. "Believe me, Marcus, I will make their deaths as painful as possible, for no one ever alluded me for so long and made such a fool of me! And all who try to aid them will die as well. But we do have one problem, though, I will have to lure them off the school grounds as the school is protected and heavily guarded." I reply. "Well, I hope you have a plan then. You will kill them this time and make sure there will not be any failure. I want the location of the school as well, so should you fail in your task, I will kill them myself!" Marcus says. I give Marcus the location, and I know I will be watched closely. I know I cannot fail again. It drives me crazy knowing my targets should have been dead years ago, and I was made a fool of. I leave Marcus's castle and return to my home. I have a plan as I know I can not go into the school myself.  A direct attack will be suicide. I cannot use any of my hunter friends to get in as the witches will detect them right away. The only one I can use is my son Cole to infiltrate the school. He is a natural-born werewolf, and the school will accept him as the witches won't detect anything. He can pose as a runaway, become a student there and befriend the girl then lure her off the school grounds. I can then use her as bait to lure out Melissa and Gabriel and then kill them all! I have trained him well as an assassin. He can even help me with the killing. I knew a werewolf would come in handy someday. That is why I spared his life and took him in as my own son and raised him to become a hunter just like me someday. Well, his day has come, and he will take on his first mission. Both werewolves, Cole's birth mother and father, lived outside a small town east of the Vampire kingdom. They were not normal werewolves as both Cole's parents had Alpha blood in them. They called their first baby Cole. His name was inscribed on his baby crib. He was a beautiful happy,  baby boy who was loved by his mother and father a lot. He was a natural-born werewolf Alpha as his mother and his father had Alpha blood in their veins. One day as his mother was picking mushrooms in the woods, she heard a noise in the bushes. Suddenly an arrow came flying out, hitting her in the leg. She was injured and could not run. It was a young hunter. Their beta hired him to kill the Alpha and the Luna of the Dessert Wolves pack. "What do you want? Why do you want to kill me?" Cole's mother asked. "I have to prove myself as a hunter to my uncle, and there is a reward on your heads. He wants the head of a werewolf, and that's what I'm going to give him, your head!" The young hunter replies. "Please," Cole's mother begs the young hunter, "I have a family, a baby boy, please spare me as my baby needs me and cannot be without me." "Mercy is for the weak. My uncle taught me that." The young hunter replied. As he got ready to make the final killing shot with a silver-tipped arrow to the werewolf mother's heart, another werewolf jumped from the bushes knocking the crossbow out of the young hunter's hands. The young hunter, inexperienced, got scared and tried to run away but was not fast enough for the big agile werewolf. The werewolf caught up to him, knocked him down, and ripped him to shreds. The young hunter was dead. The werewolf returned to the wounded werewolf. It's her husband. He saved her life. He picks her up and carries her home so that she can heal up.  A few days go by, and the young hunter has not returned yet.  The young hunter was my nephew. I am one of the most lethal and feared hunters. I track the young hunter down to the woods and discover the body hidden in the bushes. I see the claw marks all over the young hunter's body and know immediately it was a werewolf who killed him. As I do not know the werewolf's identity, who killed my nephew, I go to the local bar in town. I quickly find a local drunk, and after buying him a few rounds of drinks, I learn the identity of his nephew's killer as the drunk lives in the woods and saw the whole indecent from a distance, and he recognized Cole's father's as the Alpha of the Desert Wolf Pack. After receiving a few gold coins from me, the drunk told me everything in detail, what happened, and that the person I was looking for lived outside the town and gave me the exact location. Cole's parent's house, his father and mother, sit comfortably in front of the fireplace in their chairs. Cole is fast asleep in his crib. They talk about the young hunter. I looked around their house and listened in on their conversation. "I feel so sorry for that boy and his family. But why did he do it? Why would he try to kill an Alpha werewolf to get a trophy to prove himself? And for a bounty from our Beta. We have to look for the Beta tomorrow and punish him for hiring a hunter to kill us. What has become of the hunters of old?" Cole's mother says to his father. "I don't know, my dear. They have become assassins. They only work for gold and money these days. They are ruthless and don't care about their old values and traditions anymore. In those days, werewolves and hunters were allies. We fought side by side. I don't know what has become of them, but they are not the hunters of old anymore." Cole's father replies. "I feel so bad for killing that young boy. It is not our way to kill humans, but what was I supposed to do? Had I not intervened, he would have killed you, and had I not killed him. We would never have been safe. He would not have stopped until he had our heads as it is the way of the hunters." Cole's father says to Cole's mother. "You did what you had to, my love. You were only thinking of our baby and me, you are a good man, and one day our son will grow up to be just as good a man as you are." Cole's mother replies. Suddenly the front door flies open, Cole's father and mother jump up from their chairs. My silver-tipped arrow hits Cole's father in his heart, and he is killed instantly. Another silver-tipped arrow hits Cole's mother in the shoulder, and she is pinned up against the wall. A second silver-tipped arrow hits her in the other shoulder a few seconds later, and she is completely pinned helplessly against the wall, weakened by the silver in the tips of the arrows that went into her. I approach her slowly. "Well, well... So you are the werewolves responsible for my nephew's death," I say. "He was responsible for his own death. He attacked us first and would have killed me! My husband only defended me as we have a baby boy." Cole's mother replied. "It still doesn't matter, the fact is you killed him, and now I have to kill you," I replied. "Who are you?" Cole's mother asked me. "I am Mikael, a hunter. Maybe you have heard of me before?" I replied. "Mikael, yes, we heard about you. You are the most feared and ruthless hunter in history. But, please spare me. I have a baby boy who has his whole life in front of him. He is innocent in all of this, I beg you!" Cole's mother replied. "You know I cannot do that. I do have a reputation to uphold and a bounty to collect," I replied. I took a silver knife and pushed it right into the werewolf's heart. Cole's mother was dead. I walked up to the crib. I looked at the little baby and read the inscription on his crib. "Cole. Not a bad name. It will be so easy to kill you right now. You can't even defend yourself, helpless little baby." I said. I picked up Cole and looked into his eyes, and thought. "What if I'm to keep this boy and raise him as my own? He can be a tremendous assist to me. Just think. A werewolf as a hunter. It would really be such a waste to kill you now." He takes the baby in his arms and walks out of the house. So I decided that I would raise Cole as my own boy in the way of the hunters.  That was sixteen years ago. "Cole! Cole, my boy, come here!" I call Cole. "Yes, Father," Cole replies. "How long have you been training to become a hunter? Have you ever in that time been on any mission yet?" I ask Cole. "I have been training since I was five years old father, I'm 16 years old so I've been training for eleven years now. And no father, I have never been on a mission or a hunt before," Cole replies. "How would you like to go on your first mission. It's not a difficult one but a mission nonetheless. That will make you a true hunter, and you will earn a lot of respect among our fellow hunters." I say to Cole. "Yes, father please!" Cole answers me without any hesitation. "I have been waiting for this opportunity for years now. Please, father, I will do anything you ask." "Well, fine then, you have your first mission. There is this girl in a magical school we, as hunters, cannot get into because witches guard it. She is a hybrid and poses a great threat to this world. She has the ability to rule all kingdoms and will slaughter many kingdoms that stand in her way. She is protected by her mother Melissa, a werewolf, and her father, an original vampire Gabriel. They will surely come after us for revenge if we kill their daughter. Therefore, they must die as well. I need you to pose as a runaway werewolf boy as the witches won't suspect you are a hunter and get into the school. Once accepted into the school, you must gain this girl's trust, befriend her, and lure her out of the school to a location where we can capture her. We can then use her as bait to lure out her parents as well and then kill the three of them. She might look like a normal girl but believe me, son, she will soon become the most powerful and feared creature this world has ever seen." I lie to Cole. "I understand, father. I will do as you ask. If this girl poses a threat to the whole world, we must act now and get rid of her. I will do as you asked and pose as a runaway werewolf. I will join the school, gain everyone, including this girl's trust, and fulfill my mission. I will not fail you, father." Cole replies. "Good then, my boy, you better get to bed. You have school tomorrow," I say, laughing as I walks away. I know that boy is strong and I do not want to be on his wrong side as he have two Alpha bloodlines in him.
