Chapter Two

ELLA' S POV

“Ella, Ella” I heard someone call my name severally, but I refused to answer because I felt sleepy and tired, so I acted like I was still deeply asleep. But the voice wouldn't stop calling as I ignored the call and focused on having more rest. The voice called me severally and came closer. She was about to tap me before I woke up slowly.

“Mom, I really need some rest. I didn't have any last night. Can I still have some rest please?” I said.

“Darling, I would disagree to this, okay we have to get ready as soon as possible so as soon as his driver comes to pick us up we would have already been prepared” she said.

“But can't I at least take another thirty minutes rest? I'm exhausted, mom” I said.

“My darling I don't think so okay, you know that you can sleep like a baby when you get there, anyhow you want , nobody

would get to disturb you okay just prepared fast so we can get there on time, and you can sleep as you want okay so what do you say” she said.

“Just to make it fast, I am going to take my bath and prepare for the new house. I really need some rest. You know that I have exams and promotion exams. That's why I couldn't sleep last night, mom. I would get ready so we can get going immediately.

I woke up so tired because I really didn't have a good sleep. Not only that, but I read my books all night because I knew fully well that our upcoming exam would be a very tough one, so I had to read well so I could make it to the next level of my education. Likewise, I was exhausted and found it really challenging to stand up from my bed, but I was forced by my mom to wake up early so we could prepare fast and go over to our new home as she claims. I wasted no time in getting ready so as my mom I noticed that she was really engaged and found it exciting in moving to the luxurious house and a rich family, but I found it tedious because all I may gain from the wealth it's just a support if possible I would have one I have doubts that I would be treated like an outcast in the family. I have watched so many movies of when this experience happens in the movie, so I think it would have no difference for me, so I have double minds to choose. I really don't know whether I could just stay at home or follow my mom. I promised to always trust and love my mom, so I wouldn't do anything to make her feel sad.

“Are you done my darling?” My Mom asked.

“Mom, are you for real? I have waited for you for like about twenty minutes, so I think we should call the driver to come and pick it right away” I said.

“Okay my dear I already sent him a location he would be here soon okay you have nothing to worry about just exercise some patient okay he would be here in a twinkle of eyes” she said.

“Okay mom I would just have to go to the garage and wait for him to come okay” not quite long after I left for the garage I heard a horn on the gate, so I rushed inside to go call my mom.

“Mom, I think the driver is here,” I said.

“Okay I would go and check if it's him okay just gets things ready just In case” she said and left

I followed her quietly because I was really curious to know what was going on and if truly it's the driver so until I heard a thick voice conversing with mom. “ Good day madam, I was sent to you by my boss Mr. Madison Sparks,” he said.

“Oh, are you the driver sent by him to come pick us? Okay, we were already patiently waiting for you, so I think we are good to go. Okay, I would go call my daughter so we would start going” my mom said. Immediately I heard her footsteps coming towards the direction where I hid myself. I made haste and quickly ran out through the back, pretending as if I was still inside the house. “Mom, was it the driver ?” I asked.

“Yes, it's him hurry go get your luggage in the room let's leave her, let's fade bye to these trenches okay” she said. I looked at her in an annoying way because we both knew what we faced at the beginning before we made it to this place, and now she has the courage to call her trenches.

“I would go get my bag immediately” I said and rushed to get my luggage. I found it no fun to be excited that I would be moving to a new home like I would be being a major's son. I just had to go at least to change my financial condition, but it was really no fun to me, but I had to listen to my mom.

“Hurry Ella what were you doing inside the room for like up to ten minutes is anything bothering you” my mom said.

“I just can't bear to leave here you know this is my home, so I would really miss it, I can't just leave like that okay am deplorable about it” I replied.

“Don't worry okay you would come to overcome all this okay you just have to focus okay let's leave here immediately the driver has been waiting for a while now okay, we don't have to get anyone upset today you know it's something we both should be happy about okay let's get going immediately” she said. I nodded to her in a frowning face and entered the car with her. Really, it has been a while since I last entered this beautiful car like this. I was delighted to be in this type of luxurious car.

“Mom,” she looked at me. “ I think this man is really Rich from his driver's car. I think he is really Rich I have to confess” I said.

“I know you would like it, let's just keep quiet and get to our destination okay” Mom said.
