Chapter Two

      The wind whirling my hair like a tornado,the smell of the salt water reminding me of dead fish,the purr of the car.Wow, I could do this everyday til the day I die,just hang out the window like happy puppy seeing the outside world for the first time. I look over to a boy 16 and dark brown wavy hair, golden brown eyes that could just eat me from the inside out with the butterflies that filled me. There's a ripple in the air that sounds like thunder but feels like an earthquake, like whole world is a about to be torn apart. "WHATS HAPPENING" I yell in panic, and its like he can't even hear me, I don't know what to do, "ALEX! WHATS HAPPENING"  he just continues to sing loudly to his favorite song looking the happiest hes been in a while "ALEX" then everything starts to collapsing into dusts.Then its just black...

     "ALEX!" I screamed into the hollow air, I open my eyes to see the lady that said that she's my mom? what? "Hi sweetie, how did you sleep?"  "Uh, I guess okay, I'm still tired actually. Is Dr.Reilly here? I had a question and he said he'd answer it with my parents here. Do I have a dad?" "Yes he is here, let me go get him really quick" she turned around to head for the door and peaks around her round shoulder "Also yes Mel you do have a dad, he's at work, you'll see him tonight."

"Okay Mel so here's the thing, your birthday is actually December 7th, i know this will be hard to hear but I'm sure you suspect something is wrong as you cannot not remember anything from before you got here. The tests we done yesterday and your MRI shows you have amnesia and we don't know how long it will be until your memories come back. You must of hit your head pretty hard in the accident. Everything else looks fine so with that being said were going to get your discharge papers ready and you'll be on your way home! We will set up an appointment next week for a follow up. Take it easy and rest until I see you again, do you have any questions?" I nod and say "Wow, that must of been a pretty bad accident, okay thank you Dr."

  We get in the car and it feels like a dream the whole way home, i rolled my window down halfway smelling the rotting fish staring out at the bright blue sky. Mom didn't say anything and neither did I. We pulled up to a mansion like house. "WOW do we live here?" Taking in the breathless scene, it's like the movies big black gated security fence to a princesses white picket fence with fresh vegetables,  rose bushes and of course you cant forget the beautiful castle. "You must have good taste" I say shyly.
