CHAPTER 14 I clasped my hands together, hiding them on my lap, under the table. They couldn’t stop shaking. The official robes of the high members concealed the blood and dirt all over my clothes. I didn’t heal as fast as Jaye, and I had no power left to clean myself up. I pressed my lips together. I had to appear emotionless. I could not react.
