I am thinking of writing a romantic novel about the one I am thinking of writing, the one who is my first love, the mother of my child, the one with whom so many incidents happened, the one I went to Dhaka in the morning to meet and returned to Chittagong by night train. For whom I have endured indescribable suffering. The one who left me is Sonia, a science student of Lalmatia College, attractive, soft-spoken with a golden complexion.Shohag left home at 9 am. Her destination was Chandrima Udyan. There, Sonia was hopeful at 10 am. Today will be the second time I met her. The first time they met was in the library premises of Dhaka University a few years ago. Shohag's friend's sister was Senjuti. One Thursday afternoon, Shohag went to Senjuti's house. It was Senjuti who invited her to come to the library premises. She would be accompanied by two friends, Sonia and Polly. Sonia caught Shohag's attention at first sight. Sonia was not looking at anyone. Her gaze was on the grass. Shohag thought she had been looking for this face for many years. After the first sight, Sonia's face was etched in Shohag's mind. Then many days passed. Shohag was busy with office work. One day, the desired call came to the office. I am Sonia. Senjuti has asked you to go to their house. Shohag went to Senjuti's house that afternoon. After talking about this and that, Shohag took Sonia's land telephone number from Senjuti. It was not difficult to call. His friend Shahed's wholesale shop was in front of his house. There was a land telephone there. One evening, out of an unknown fear, Shohag called Sonia's six-digit number and said directly, look, I have taken your number from Senjuti. I can talk to you sometimes. That's how it started. From then on, Shohag constantly called Sonia on the phone. Sonia's place in Shohag's mind became stronger in a few months. After a year of telephone conversations, they met at Chandrima Udyan one winter morning. It felt like a dialogue from a much-discussed play, "We probably love the wrong person. Actually, everything is destiny. I have seen countless girls every day at Dhaka University. It's not that I didn't like many of them, but it was never expressed. The love in my heart remains in my heart. We have to go in the direction that destiny takes us. In a short life, we meet and talk to so many people. Some become very close to us. Then we have to leave them. Life is true above all. Do everything for life. The most true thing is that we should not risk our own lives to do someone else's good. At some point in our lives, we want to be great men. The suffering in Sonia's life is purely personal and her own. The sacrifices I had to make to erase that suffering are my destiny.

Shohag is thinking of writing a romantic novel about his love,he is thinking of writing, the one who is hisfirst love, the mother of his child, the one with whom so many incidents happened, the one for whom he went to Dhaka in the morning to meet and returned to Chittagong by night train. After a year of telephonic conversations, they met at Chandrima Udyan one winter morning. It felt like a dialogue from a much-discussed play, "We probably love the wrong person. Actually, everything is destiny. Shohag has seen countless girls every day at Dhaka University. It's not that he didn't like many of them, but it was never expressed. The love in his heart remained hidden .We have to go in the direction that destiny takes us. In a short life, we meet and talk to so many people. Some become very close to us. Then we have to leave them. Life is true above all. We do everything for life. The truth is that we should not risk our own lives to do someone else's good. At some point in our lives, we want to be great men. The suffering in Sonia's life is purely personal and her own. The sacrifices Shohag had to make to erase that suffering are his destiny. If Shohag had not fallen in love with or love Sonia he would not have to bear the brunt of life.Life could have been simple and easy going.According to some religion we suffer because of the consequences of our actions. On the other hand Creator takes away everything from a person to bring him closer to Almighty.Another fact is that we never know where we eventually settle.I was brought up particularly my adolescence and part of the youth was in Chittagong hill tracks. My university life was in Dhaka.I lived Eighteen years in Dhaka and and then came back to Chittagong.I never thought of that I would settle where I am now. Shohag' s eldest brother after higher secondary got a scholarship and attended one of the IVY league university. He is settled in NY.He never thought that he would settle in NY.Ireen is settled in Virginia.Shohag was fond of her during his adolescence. He last saw her when he was sixteen years old.Ireen left home with her family. She is in teaching and wants to travel to European countries particularly from France to Spain and Italy to Czech Republic after retirement. She wants to spend part of the money she has accumulated so far through her service and wants to be a holiday maker. She never thought of during her childhood that one day she would settle in Virginia.Shohag's neighbour just who once lived Infront of his door left home and now live in New Jersey. His cousin had an cardiac arrest few years ago and now live in a developed country for improved treatment.Another cousin who had been settled in America didn't feel at home, came back to home and passed away here. The ziest is that we don't know where we will settle.Life drags out our life to unknown destinations and we finally settle over there. So we can not escape our destiny and accept whatever life demands. In your life you don't decide everything. Your childhood, education, family life, profession and even where you settle in your later life. This is a world of conflicts. Prolonged war that devastate cities, interrupt normal life, make people internally displaced even compel people to take refuge in another country. Even man made disaster like floods or droughts or natural disaster like earthquake act as obstacles to grow or live in place you were born, your mother land.Instead of going to educational institutions you live in fear and anxiety. The bombardment awakes you night after nights .Griefs and sorrows become unending as your loved and dearest one dies.Once a civilized nation become a ruined country as belligerent people want to materialize their ideologies. In a peaceful situation we spend sometimes in parental cares. We had to be seperated to pursue higher education from suburbs to cities. We see our parents only during vacations. In our life we have to marry someone whether it is a settled marriage or marry someone we were in love. We don't decide to whom to marry. In our service life if the job is transferable it makes us unsettled till the end of service . Finally we settle somewhere we never thought of before and spend rest of the life.So in our life we don't decide many things. We have to accept what situation demands. -5-
