"How are you doing on this lovely day?"
The man grinned at me when I turned around to face him. I had to fight not to be on edge or tremble when I saw him. Especially when I noticed that he was a police officer. Had he tracked me here from the incident with the McCall brothers? Or was he sent by the people at the lab?
"Are you alright?" He tilted his head now, a look of concern and wonder filling his sparkling blue eyes. "You look scared." He noted as his shapely mouth turned down into a frown. He was a good-looking man, that was for sure, but he was still an unknown entity to me. And unknown people couldn't be trusted.
"Miss?" He took a step closer to me as he spoke, and that prompted me to come out of my shell a little.
"Yes, I'm sorry. I'm fine." I gave him an uneasy smile
