Jane’s pov
I was surprised to see that the rogue was a female. “How did you get past my guards?” I asked her with a growl.
She glared at me, “if you don’t answer I will command you.” I growled at her again. I took a good look at her, she had short brown hair, I couldn’t tell if her hair was thick or just matted from lack of care, her skin was a light brown to match her light brown eyes.
She let out a sigh, “I didn’t want to.” she said as she looked down at the floor. I could feel how nervous she was but also worried.
“What do you mean you didn’t want to? Then why are you here?” I looked at Jace and I could see he was just as confused as I was, even in his wolf form.
“I was struggling, I needed somewhere to stay to protect my own child.” I crossed my arms, I suppressed the sympathy
