The girl loved this new arrangement in which she worked at the supermarket a lot, to say the least. For the first time in a long time, she could go out freely and feel like a normal human being. There was no question of her running away or contacting the boy who had gotten her pregnant. She was too scared to do so. In her young mind, her grandmother was doing her such a huge favor by not keeping her locked up as her father wanted. The least that she could do was to do as the woman asked and not let her father know about it.
