Chapter Thirty Two

Cookie Chapter III Training pt. 1 “Bartel. Late. Again.” I guiltily walked closer to my team who were almost done with their reps and ready to play a match. “Come on, captain. I’m not that late.” I grinned, lightly poking Yeo Juda’s shoulder to joke around. “Besides, I can catch up easily. Don’t worry.” I flapped my hands in the air, stretching my back as if it would help warm me up. Juda gave me a strong glare. It was obvious she wasn’t fond of my playful side but she couldn’t deny my amazing skills either. We both hate each other, surely, but we were both the best in our team. I’m better, of course. “Dives. Now.” She raised her brows at me, making me gulp. “Okay! Geez, you’re so uptight, captain.” I held my chest in shock that she was capable of being this serious. With that, I began doing my reps and the dives the captain ordered me to do. I watched the rest of my team practice against each other while I was still doing my warmup. I wish I came earlier so I could play games with them too but like, it is what it is. “Senior,” I turned and saw Cass, one of our junior hitter, walking towards me. She was still doing reps herself. I figured she was late too so I guess that makes the two of us. “Hm?” I asked. “You’re not dating Aiden, right?” My brows arched at the sudden question, scoffing. “No. I don’t plan on dating him anytime soon either. Why’d you ask?” I asked even though I already knew her answer. “You like that dingo?” She looked away, looking all flustered all of a sudden. “Jesus, you like him?!” “Everyone likes him!” She exclaimed her reply. “I mean, everyone in our department likes him. How am I different from everyone else?” I cracked a laugh, slapping the ball against the wall harder. “What, you want me to set up a date with him or something?” I sarcastically asked. “N-No..?” No? “But is he like into someone right now?” I almost choked at her question. I guess Cass wasn’t paying much attention to the way Aiden was with me because she was completely clueless of him being head over heels for me. I guess it doesn’t appear that way at first look. He doesn’t treat me like he likes me after all. He shows a different type of love language, if not like. “He is.” “Oh…” “I mean, people can always change their feelings. You can change his too so go for it.” I smirked at her, catching the ball in my hand before walking away. I doubt Aiden’s mind would change though.
