Cookie Chapter II
Snoopy pt. 2
“We’ll get two servings for this, and two iced tea, please. Thank you.” Jett said to the attendant that went to get his order. I didn’t even had to say anything. I guess he already figured it would be easier this way. After he placed his order, he turned to me with a sigh, but later smiles upon meeting my eyes. “When is your Intercollegiate starting?” he suddenly asked.
“Next month. But we’re not starting on the first day.”
He nodded to my response. “And your training?”
I shrugged. “Training is training. It gets hard but it’s fun once we get to actually play.”
“Tell me so I can watch you play?”
I smiled and bobbed my head. “Of course. I’ll let you know as soon as I get the game schedule. Speaking of games, captain said we’re having a practice match with a different school this coming weekend,”
He squinted his eyes in confusion. “Practice match?”
“It’s like an official game with other schools but not official.”
He tilted his head.
Now that I was recalling what I said, it pretty much didn’t make sense either. “A practice match with other schools is like a friendly game. We play many sets like a real game but it’s not official. It’s just as the name implies. A practice match.”
“Ah…” He bobbed his head. Hopefully, he understood it better than the last time I explained. I would be confused as hell too if I was in his position. “A friendly match then?”
“Yeah, a friendly match. Like when you go play with strangers for street basketball sort of.”
He flashed a small smile. “Maybe you can teach me how to play sometime?”
My eyes widened at his sudden suggestion. “You’d be great training for middle. Let me know when you’re free so I can teach you and maybe even practice with you.”
He smiled wider. “I will keep that in mind.”
I smiled back at him. Soon after, a lady came to our table, laying down all his orders for us.
