Cookie Chapter I
Snoopy pt. 1
I was waiting outside my department, just chilling while waiting for last period to pass. I couldn’t really bug or nag Aiden because I knew he still had classes.
I yawned, rolling my eyes away, scratching my back in boredom. “What to do, man?” I mumbled to myself, scratching my head afterwards in frustration. I hated being still and not being able to do anything. Maybe I should walk around and start warming up for the training. But I don’t want to go to the library all sweaty when I meet Aiden later.
“Knock, knock?”
I glanced over my shoulder with creased brows. The voice was familiar but I couldn’t really tell.
“Care to have some company?”
“Snoopy!” My eyes glistened at the sight of Jett with a bright, wide smile and a small wave as a greeting. “Of course, I don’t mind! Come, sit.” I smiled, patting the extra space on the bench, gesturing him to sit over.
He chuckled and walked to the other side, sitting and shifting his weight to face me. “How are you?”
I bobbed my head. “All good. I went to tutor last month and it ended just recently. Then I’m back to training for Intercollegiate. Then I have to do other activities for school requirement.”
“Seems like you got a lot on your plate,”
I turned to look at him. There was always something about the way Jett looked at me. Something so sincere and soft that even my heart would melt. So gentle and warm. “A little. Aiden helps me with school works so that’s convenient.”
He lets out a chuckle. “You’re really close, huh?”
I let out a grin. “Nah,” I replied sarcastically even if I knew myself that we were really close. “But he does know a lot about me more than most people. “
He leaned closer, smiling enough to show his dimples, rocking back and forth in his seat. “How much free time do you have?”
I looked at the time as I pulled out my phone. “An hour and a half, more or less? Why’d you ask?”
“I know a shop just outside school campus..?”
I arched a brow at his direction, recognizing how familiar and similar it was to when I invited him to eat the first time I met him. “It’s time you return my treat, is that it?” I teasingly asked and nodded anyway. “But yeah, just be sure to take me back before three.”
