Episode 4

Alpha Alex waited patiently for the door to be opened after knocking at it several times, after a while Ann went towards the door and opened it gently as she stood right in front of the door helplessly for a while, her mouth squirmed subconsciously and her hands quivers as she folded them on her chest, Ann was trying so hard not to say a word that would implicate her as she was aware of who he was and the position he holds in the pack, Ann harbours hateful words in her stomach as her stomach burns from the painful urges of what she feels she could do to him right now as she only starred at him in silence but her bloody red eyes screamed a lot with her shoulder raised high in defense or probably her dress was making it look like she had her shoulder raised high, Ann wore a black coat on a black short skirt and black heals that someone would think she had somewhere to reach immediately but the status of Ann as the Kappa's wife earn her such outmost modesty at all time, her hair was curled into a house wife dough with glimpse of grey strips of hairs within the neat well packed dark hair, Alex could see the features of Ava and Mia so much on her that he need not to be reminded that this was their Mother who he had met before just once at the coronation ceremony.

Alpha Alex could imagine how terrible it was for Mrs Ann to hold back her grudges towards him as he confidently took a step towards her knowing how much her hands are tied.

"Good day Mrs Ann" Alex said loudly under his breath because he was not really comfortable talking to her either as he swallowed so hard waiting for her response when Ava jumped out from the apartment and opened the door so wide while she moved from behind her Mother and outside the house.

"Alex! You came" she beamed.

"Yes I wanted to say sorry for what just happened lately, I am really sorry about that and I did not mean to do that, I am really sorry Mia" Alex said trying to filter his words gently when Ann who initially was starring at them In awe wondering what transpired between them jumped into the conversation.

"You are sorry? Alpha Alex" Ann called out.

"You are sorry?" She asked rhetorically again as she was not expecting an answer for that.

"I hope you know that will not bring back my Child to life Alpha Alex" Ann said as her eyes were wide open and her fingers strongly making affirmation in the air, Mia sighed with disbelief at her mother's attitude as she followed it up with a hiss when Alpha Alex replied her with the most dissappointing reply.

"Well I do not care Mrs Ann" Alpha Alex blurted as he kept his gaze confidently on her which made Ann mouth dropped as her arms fell to her sides helplessly.

"How could you?" She asked almost to herself than anyone.

"I am only apologising for what transpired between Mia and I lately today" Alpha Alex tried to give her hint about why he was there in the first place and why he was apologising.

"I am sorry Mia" he said again

"I hope we get to meet again to talk about what you intended telling me" he concluded nodding his head when Mia jumped on him and hugged him tightly.

"It okay Alex dear" she said silently to him and her approach got him shocked and unprepared, he had his arms in the air behind her not sure about what to do with them as he gently placed them around her which got Mia smiling above his shoulder, Alpha Alex tried as much as possible to not turn his gaze towards Mrs Ann as he could not face her after shutting her up and hugging her daughter, he had hugged Mia countless times in a friendly no strings attached hug while he was dating her twin sister Ava but this seems different as Mia shamelessly pressed herself on his body.

"I need to go now Mia" Alpha Alex tried to mumble as he dragged himself off Mia and headed towards his car immediately.

"Hope to see you soon" Mia said out loudly as she waved him and watched him leave the premises, she was still standing there starring at his movement when Ann called out her name in grieve.

"Mia!" She shouted bringing Mia back into reality.

"What are you doing Mia?" Ann asked with an profound loud tone but Mia said nothing order than rolling her eyes.

"You are having an affair with him?" Mrs Ann asked hoping she would hear something negative to that question.

"Yes Mother, to the Alpha of the Yellow Stone pack who would be forced to get a new Luna soon after his mate cheated on him" Mia blurted to her Mother not minding her hateful heavy words.

"Isn't that a good news Mother?" Mia asked her Mother ridiculously.

"That I might, most probably become the next Lunar and the Empress of the prestigious yellow Stone pack" Mia said as she walked into the house not minding her Mother's astounishned mood.

"Come back here Mia Zach, are you not ashamed of yourself at all"she asked breathlessly following Mia behind to her room.

"ashamed of what Mother?, becoming the Lunar? I do not see why anyone would be ashamed of that, especially not when he likes me and I do too, the feeling is mutual" Mia knew that does not even sound true because she was yet to achieve that or get to the point when she would profess her aim to Alpha Alex but she was more than glad that her little play of hugging the Alpha outside which he also reciprocated reluctantly paint the image her Mother is having in her head.

"Mia how could you? How can you be entangled with him when he practically killed your Sister, you are a traitor and a shame, I am so dissappointed in you Mia" Ann said to Mia angrily and on top of her voice.

"There is no other traitor than Ava who chooses to cheat on her mate and even worse an Alpha, our family have practically disappointed the Pack and Alpha Alex is only being generous enough to still relate with us and giving the family a chance to still bloom in the pack Mother, you have no right to do this" Mia fired back.

"That is not true Mia, Ava did no such thing" she said with her finger pointing at Mia" Mrs Ann totally have no evidence about if Ava engaged in what she have been accused of or not but she only relied on the fact that she trusted her daughter so much and she could not fathom Ava ever doing that.

"You were not at the scene Mother, I saw her and I confronted her but she has no regret, Don't you get it Mother, how long am I going to tell you that, Mrs Ann fell to the bed as she sobbed loudly.

"Ava! would not do that" Mrs Ann cried out.

" Well she did Mother, she dissappointed everyone, she acted like the best child all along but she was never a saint" Mia pointed out strongly to her Mother when she rolled her eyes and walked towards her Mother who already had her head in her arms crying again.

"Mother when will you stop all this and move on with your life, let's begin to deal with reality Mother" she said to her as she cleaned her teary eyes with the back of her hand, it okay Mother, I am here" Mia mentioned to her and hugged her dearly.

Ava woke up the next morning feeling so crampy and her body aches so much like never before, it certainly the pain again as the pills must have exceeded the time in protecting her from the pains as she held her head firmly like she was trying to protect it from falling off only to open her eyes properly and find Lilly beside the bed looking pale and sad, when Ava looked at her she looked away and brought her face down as they both stood still for a while, Ava looked around the room as if she was trying to make sure no one was looking at them or find out she was a warewolf because Ava was so much aware of where she was, it's the humans world and in their hotel. Ava was so disturbed or probably surprised at the sight of her wolf and knew she has been going through a lot even if she was trying to be strong and trying to kill the pain with pills for sometimes, Lilly would not feel that impact on her and the thought of her dying which Ava is also aware of made her mute, she would not know how to reassure her Wolf that they would get through this when death seems to be in the air. Ava looked into her eyes, it was a beautiful sea blue eyes that have suddenly turned pale white which now have same colour with her white body, Ava's wolf is a pure hairy bodied fur like the sky, the first time she saw her wolf at eighteen, it was so alive and beautiful with it blue eyes, it smiled at her and got her smiling too as it hop around like a kid that got freedom, but now it seems to be dying. Ava felt the urge to cry but she needed to be strong for Lilly as she placed her palm on her and caressed her hair gently while Lilly curled into her arms.

"We will be fine Lilly" Ava pushed out the words from her throat as she swallowed hard and there goes the tears she could no longer control, Lilly squirm gently in her arms as

Ava jumped from her spin at the sound of a huge knock on the door which suddenly got her breathing heavily as she waited for a while only for the knock to be heard over again.

"Hello Madam!" The familiar voice from yesterday came from behind the door, I just here to check if you are okay.

"Me? Oh yes!" Ava muttered quickly from the room

"I am fine" she said hesitantly and tried to get Lilly away from sight as she went ahead to open the door slightly.

"Yes?" She said to her as the Woman seems to be peeping inside the room.

"What do you want?" Ava questioned.

" I was just wondering if you are fine, you have not ordered for any meal and you are yet to be out which I found alarming since it noon" she said as Ava kept sneezing at the smell of her.

"It alright, I am fine so you can go now" Ava announced as she shut the door in her face while she wondered how long she had been sleeping when Lilly jumped from the bed into her arms and Ava breathe a sigh of relief only for the room door to be shut opened again this time with the Cops.
