CHAPTER 13

Drey's POV:

I was waiting for the professor to start our class for the last subject before lunch when he entered with a girl and introduce her to us.

She's familiar. I think she was the one who was asking about where is the Business Ad building. But what is she doing here in the engineering building?

"Good Morning Class. Today we will have a new classmate for this subject. She's a Business Ad irregular student but she will be also taking this subject for her credits. Miss, you can introduce yourself now." Professor Dominguez said.

"Hello, guys! My name is Raylene Sandoval. I'm eighteen years old, it's nice to meet you all!" She introduced herself in front and smiled at the whole class.

"Ang ganda niya at ang sexy!" Bulong sa akin ni Rionnel na katabi ko lang.

I ignored him and look at my notes. Kailangan ko na namang mag advance study dahil may nalalapit na namang tournament na sasalihan ng team namin. Hindi ko naman kasi pwedeng pabayaan ang grades ko dahil lang sa busy ako, tiyak na papagalitan ako ni Mommy kapag nangyari iyon.

"Ah, excuse me! What a coincidence, magkaklase pala tayo. Ako nga pala si Raylene!" Napatingin ako sa gilid ko ng may nagsalita bigla. Hindi ko napansin na dito pala siya pinaupo ng professor. "Hindi na ako nakapag pakilala kanina, pero maganda at ngayon may nakikita na akong familiar ang mukha." Patuloy pa niya.

"Kilala mo?" Bulong na tanong ni Rionnel.

"Nah!" Ani ko.

"Ah hi, ako nga pala si Rionnel. Ito naman si Drey!" Inabot ni Rionnel ang kamay nitong nakalahad sa akin.

"Oh, hi! Kumusta ka?" Ngumiti ito ng matamis sa amin pero di nalang ako nagsalita at tumungo nalang dito. Saka nag focus sa professor naming nag start nang magturo.

"Ayos lang, sige mamaya na tayo mag-usap at makinig na muna kay sir." Ani ni Rionnel ng mapansing doon lang ako sa harap nakatitig.

"Sige."

It was a smooth discussion and I take down a lot of notes on this subject. Although I noticed the girl beside me who was always taking a glance at me I ignored it. My life's been weird these past weeks because of a girl and it's still my problem now. I don't know how to face this yet but I'm taking my time figuring out things with her.

That's right, I need to pick her up later for lunch, or else I know she will get mad at me.

"Okay Class, that's it for today. Remember to study your notes and pass your activities on time. Also, I need you to form a group of three for your upcoming midterm requirements. Or should I just provide you with a list? So that no one will be left out in this class especially since we have a new member here?" Professor Dominguez said while ending the discussion with an announcement.

"Up to you, Prof!" I said when his gaze went to us, or more particularly on the new member of the class.

"Alright! I'll announce it in our next discussion. Miss Sandoval, do you know the way to the Admin office now?"

"Ah, yes prof! I've seen it while I was on my way to my department."

"Is that so? But you don't know your way to the cafeteria right? It's the opposite of your department so maybe you did not cross against it yet, am I right?" I just put my things back in my bag and ready myself to go outside while the professor is having a conversation with the woman beside me.

"Yes, Sir! Kind of..." She shyly smiled at the professor while also fixing her things.

"Since you're going to the admin first to finalize your schedule, you should ask for your classmate's help. Ah right! Mr. Silvano, can you accompany Ms. Sandoval to the Admin office?" Bigla akong napatitig sa professor namin sa sinabi niya.

"I can't, I have a previous engagement to attend to this lunch." I reasoned.

"But the President was in his office and ask you to drop by before lunch." Napakunot ang noo ko. That old man is here?

I signed before answering. "Fine!"

"Samahan na kita, Bro. Magha-hi lang ako kay Tito." Ani ni Rionnel at tumayo na kasabay ko.

"Er, pasensiya na sa abala ah. Nasira ko pa tuloy lakad mo." Ani ni Raylene na sumabay na rin sa amin.

"Ayos lang yun, Raylene. Dun din naman papunta si Drey kasi pinapatawag siya ng Daddy niya." Singit ni Rionnel.

"Daddy niya yung President ng school? Wow, ang cool mo naman." Kumento ni Raylene.

"Di yan, wala kasing favoritism yung President lalo na yung Mommy ni Drey. Dapat mag-aral parin siyang mabuti kasi naka-monitor siya sa school. Kung tutuusin walang freedom to dito kasi may mga matang naka bantay." Ani pa ni Rionnel.

"Wag mo nga e chismiss buhay ko, pre! Dinaig mo pa mga marites sa kanto." Sita ko kay Rionnel na tinawanan lang ako.

Tumawa din si Raylene na kasabay namin ng pagliko ko ay may nakabangga akong babaeng hindi ko inaasahan.

"Oh my God! Sorry guys nagmamadali kasi ako kaya di ko kayo napansin." Anito.

Napangiti ako bigla. Ganda niya talaga. "Hi, Shanaih!" Bati ko sa kanya.

"Hello, Drey! Magla-lunch na ba kayo?" Ani nito na ngumiti din pabalik.

"Ah, hindi. Pupunta pa kami ng admin office bago mag lunch." Sagot ko dito.

"Ganun ba? Nga pala, nakita niyo ba si Lucas? Kanina ko pa hinahanap e, tinakasan ba naman ako nung inaya kong mag lunch." Anito. Napakunot-noo tuloy ako.

"Kasama mo yun kanina? Kaya pala hindi pumasok sa klase namin." Ani ni Rionnel.

Mukhang may hindi sinasabi yung lukong iyon ah.

"Kaya nga, tinanong ko kung bakit hindi pumasok. Sabi niya may tinatapos daw siyang basahin. Tapos nung inaya ko, tinakasan naman ako."

"Haha, wag kana umasa dun nasa libro ang tipo nung babae." Kumento ni Rionnel.

"Oh, sino siya? Bago mo?" Baling ni Shanaih kay Raylene na tahimik lang na nakikinig sa usapan namin.

Napangisi ako. "Gusto mo ba akong mabugbog nung amazonang yun?" Tanong ko pabalik.

"Sabi ko nga, haha!" Alanganing tawa ni Shanaih.

"Hello, ako nga pala si Raylene! Kaklase ako nila Drey sa isang subject." Pagpapakilala ni Raylene dito.

"Ohh! Kaklase pala. Ako naman si Shanaih! I'm one of the university's cheering squad babes. If you want to join us you can just go to our clubroom for an interview and screening." Ngiti nito.

"Nang recruit pa!" Bulong na kumento ni Rionnel.

"Rinig kita uy, nagbabakasakali lang na baka gusto niyang sumali. You know, she's pretty." Anito.

"Thank you! But you're the prettiest though." Sagot ni Raylene dito.

"Mga babae talaga, ang hilig magbatuhan ng mabolang salita." Rionnel.

"Mas mahilig kaya magbato ang mga lalaki ng ganung salita, epal ka talaga Rionnel. Diyan na nga kayo at may pupuntahan pa ako. See you later nalang at lunch, punta lang ako ng clubroom namin saglit. Bye!" Pagpapa-alam ni Shanaih sa amin.

"Do you like her?" Tanong ni Raylene bigla pagkaalis ni Shanaih sa harap namin.

"What? How can you say that?" Kunot-noong tanong ko sa kanya.

"You automatically smile when you saw her." Anito.

Napatawa tuloy ako. "Observant ka pala?" Ngiti ko sa kanya.

"Kind of. But... You have a girlfriend, right?" Curious na tanong nito.

Tumawa si Rionnel sa sinabi nito pero hindi na nagkumento. Sinamaan ko naman agad ito ng tingin.

That's right! I had a crush on Shanaih and I can't deny that. She also makes me smile when I saw her and she's really pretty. But now... This heart of mine is calling a different name. Someone who I don't expect to capture me.

Shanaih is like a dream girl to me, but that girl... She's my reality.

"She's kind of pretty and unique, isn't she?" Pagpapatuloy nito.

"Nakita mo na siya?" Tanong ni Rionnel.

"Ah, Oo. Kaninang umaga noong nagtatanong ako kay Drey kung saan yung business ad building." Anito.

"Wow, talaga? Ano namang first impression mo sa kanya? Pretty and unique din?"

May pagka-chismosso talaga tong Rionnel na'to. Di nalang nanahimik.

"No err... I don't want to offend someone but- she's kind of weird." Alanganing sabi nito. "She looks unique but kind of like a witch with her hair and a black cap. Then her skirt is too long. Actually, I did not expect that a handsome man like Drey would fall for her." Patuloy pa nito.

"Normal reaction naman yan, ganyan din mga reaction namin nung una namin siyang makita e. At si Drey..."

"What about me?" Sabat ko sa sasabihin pa nila.

"Come on, Dude. We already know that you like Shanaih. And compare with Enday, she's above right?"

"Keep your opinion with you, I don't need them. What happened, just happened. And it's my fault so I'm taking responsibility!" I said to them.

"So... You don't really like that girlfriend of yours?" Asked Raylene.

"...." I did not answer that question because that was supposed to at first, but now? It's different.

I just keep on walking leaving them behind. Rionnel follows me after that.

"So... I still have a chance?" A few words were mumbled by Raylene, but we did not get the chance to hear them.
