A unexpected guest

Samantha in a hurry reached her father's office. Immediately she knocked at the door and entered the room not wanting to be anymore late. Her parents were already waiting for her, her mother on seeing Samantha spoke,"samantha where were you?,I had clearly instructed you to be on time. Hadn't i told you how important it is for a princess to  learn time sense" .Samantha was not able to bring her breathing to normal as she wanted to get in as soon as possible so breathing heavily, she replied,"sorry mother, i.." . before she could complete queen interrupted her "were u running samantha? i had firmly prohibited you from running around in the castle  like this, just look at your dress it looks so hideous with so much of  dirt smeared on it. And whats with your hair its so dishevelled .Samantha, how many times should i remind you to act like a lady, you are a princess behave like one. You look more like a servant than a princess." "Mother i..i am.." i don't want to hear anything, how can you be so irresponsible samantha". The king cleared his throat in between ,"Elizabeth, Shes just a child its okay ". "A child ?she is 21 years old and we can't just ignore all her mistakes it's important that we correct her, for god's sake she's a princess but still she doesn't behave like one".  "She will learn".  "When? she wouldn't stay with us forever Corell she will have to get married to some prince and shift to another kingdom, and she just can't act the way she is acting here. If she continues her casual behaviour how would we find a suitable groom for her".  "My dear queen there's no need for us to find a groom for her, they themself will beg to hold my princess's hand and i am sure the person who gets this chance will be the luckiest person on this earth. She has all the qualities of a princess ;  compassion, kindness, passion, humbleness, lovingness, confidence. A princess takes pride in the way she presents herself  and who she is but much more. A princess does not define herself by clothing, makeup or royalty etiquettes  rather by attitude, morals,  ethics and her heart". "But your highness, nobility, regality and grandeur is also equally important .." The king interrupted  "don't worry ,my dear queen don't worry so much, her inner as well as outer beauty is more than enough to  catch hearts of any prince". The king was not wrong here, princes of many kingdoms had sent many marriage proposals because of the princess's beauty which was very captivating but no one had sent a marriage proposal for liking her personality as logically she hadn't neither meet them ,in order for them to know about her personality. That was what made her reject all the proposals , she didn't want to accept the proposal of people who liked her just for her looks , she wanted to marry a person who likes her for her character ,personality too. She wanted a love marriage like those in the fairy tale but she never got a chance. She dared not to tell the real reason for rejecting all the proposals to her mother. Because she was sure her mother will find it silly and marry her off the very next day. So she kept on rejecting giving one or another reason . The queen told  "okay i don't want to argue further, let's talk about why we have assembled here". "Ya of course, the king of Sitroz , Aldric Valentino had sent a letter informing that he will will be coming tomorrow for dinner at our palace".  The queen was surprised "are you talking about the ruthless vampire royal Aldric Valentino?"  "yes same Aldric and it isn't polite to call our guest ruthless my queen the king chuckled.  "But what's the reason for such a powerful king want to join us for the dinner?"  "I have no idea" replied the king. "Why are you getting so tensed Elizabeth calm down, its no big deal ".  "But you know a king like aldric would not to anything without any motive or reason , so his sudden wish to visit our kingdom cant be taken lightly." King also agreed with her and knew the seriousness of the situation  but tried to seem calm and positive.  Samantha who was witnessing all this was confused , she interrupted asking, "mother who is this Aldric Valentino and why are you both looking so tense and worrying so much just for him wanting to join us for dinner tomorrow". Her father explained "Samantha, Aldric Valentino is a vampire royal and one of the most powerful  and greatest king in the world, his name is accompanied with terror , he very influential and dangerous and the last person on this earth to mess with". Her mother added  "he is considered as a devil because of this mercilessness".it was now Samantha's turn to become worried, her mind ran a race of 100 mile thinking why he could have been visiting them. The king thought of easing the atmosphere so told "lets not overthink such a normal letter too much , whatever it is will be clear tomorrow lets not worry unnecessarily from now itself. Its of no use".                                                                                                                                                                              After this meeting Samantha's mind couldn't stop thinking about it, at all. She was a very curious person. She lay on the bed awake thinking about the kind of person aldric was and also the possible reasons for his visit. While thinking about these things she slowly fell into a deep slumber.
