The guards start advancing again with their weapons drawn. I can’t let them hurt Kadis. I don’t know what those demons did to him, but he needs help.
“Leave or die!”
I put myself in front of Kadis. He’s trying to get up but he doesn’t seem to be able to. He keeps falling back down. Michael told me to claim sanctuary if the guards tried to force me to leave. I can’t let them throw us out. Those demons could still be out there!
“I claim Sanctuary Under Light and Dark!”
But my proclamation only stops them for a second. After a quick glance at each other, they resume their threatening stance. One of the guards jabs his spear in Kadis’ direction.
