I greeted the Grand Alpha’s at the gates, and led them to the pack house that would serve as a makeshift courtroom. They looked somber as they entered, and then I saw someone I hadn’t seen since I was a boy and I got excited, “Grandfather!” I shouted as I ran to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. He laughed and smiled and hugged me back so tightly.
“Xander my lad!” He boomed with his happy deep voice, “My, how tall you’ve grown! Your father must be so proud of you!” He smacked me on the back and I smiled.
