I’m standing out side the car having a smoke and watching humans walking in and out of the bus station, humans are a lower class than monsters, their more likely to use buses than monsters; one bus has left after picking everyone up and another is loading as I get a message from Aileen, she tells me the bus is in the city now and she’s minutes away.
I feel my bones shack, I’m feeling the excitement sweep over me like a wave, I think I’m almost getting nervous about seeing her, I let her know I’m here waiting, I add that I can’t wait to see her.
A few more puffs before my cigars out, snuffing it out I lean comfortably against my town car, my driver’s sittin’ in the drivers seat probably reading over some book, I almost always seem em with one, not much of a talker that one and that’s just the way I like it.
Another bus pulls into the station, I feel my soul f*****g pumpin’ this feeling makes me think Aileen’s on that bus, I don’t get how when who your waitin’ on, is near you without you knowin’ for sure their there, somehow you can feel it, you just know that’s them you feel, that’s them getting’ closer to ya.
Watching the passengers slowly make their way off the bus, waitin’ eagerly to see Aileen, I let out a deep breath attempting to cool myself down, -damn it man, you gotta play it cool- I tell myself, calming down enough to stand straighter, smile wider and send a wink to Aileen when I see her.
Aileen wears a big smile as well as an form fitting red sweater and black vest with black legging’s, she’s carrying her duffel bag over her shoulder, when she’s crossed the parking lot, she drops her bang and jogs up to me, literally jumping into my arms. With ease I scoop her up while she kisses me, she’s laughing as she breaks our kiss, “I missed you,” she says kissing me again then just wrapping her arms around my neck and hugging me.
Damn this girl. “I missed you too doll,” I always hold her close, letting her down slowly she kisses me quick before she runs back to grab her bag, I toss it in the trunk while she jumps in the car.
Aileen’s hungry so I’m taking her to breakfast, on our way there we do a lot of catching up, mainly with our mouths, I try to stop myself thinking of how she left things when I last saw her, Aileen pushes her fingers against my mouth as she takes a breath.
“Do you not breath?” she asks half joking.
“Don’t need to when I’m kissin’ you,” I lean into her for more but she holds her hand up to me still catching her breath, “hmmm guess I can’t be too rough with you.”
“Don’t you kiss other girls?” she asks but I don’t answer, not sure if it’s a trap, “like, you’ve kissed other human girls and know that we can’t go minutes without air, right?”
I look down at my shoes, “that got real,” I joke still looking at my shoes, I feel Aileen’s eyes on me, waiting for my real answer, “I don’t usually kiss girls,” I’m honest, that’s what she wants, right?
“What do you mean?”
“Well kissin’s kind of a waist of time whenever I’m with a girl,” Aileen’s looking at me a little shocked, “it’s not that I don’t kiss girls, kissin’s just more intimate, so unless she’s something long term or serious no point kissing,” I bite my tongue, I feel like I was just talkin’ out my ass, sure it was truth, but still ass talk.
Aileen’s quiet for longer then I like, it’s making me worried, “so which one am I then? Long term or serious?” she asks hooking her legs over mine as she smiles up at me, her hair a bit of a mess from my hand running though it.
“You?” she nods happily, I grin, “you, are extremely long term and very serious,” I kiss her cheek getting a giggle out of it.
“Good,” she replies kissin’ me back, we arrive at the restaurant moments later, Aileen and I walk in arm in arm, the hostess brings us to a table, out of the way, I usually get the stares whenever I go out with or without a girl, but with Aileen on my arm, not lookin’ like the typical girl who spends her time in the company of monsters she’s getting them more looks than I would normally.
Sitting in our little corner of the restaurant we look over our menus, “so what were you thinking?” she asks glancing at me from her menu.
“Well, I’d love to continue from where we left off the night before you left and have you for breakfast,” I send her a wink.
Aileen’s face is the cutest when she blushes, “Duran, stop that,” she tells me looking around while doing a horrible job hiding her smile from me.
“You asked I answered,” she bites her lip, damn it, I really could just eat her up.
Aileen and I have a nice breakfast, she didn’t want to stay out too long because she works tonight so after breakfast I took her home, I asked to see her tonight, she told me she’ll message me during her lunch break, I’m heading to work now to get on with my day, it will be a nice day, seeing Aileen this morning and knowing I’ll see her tonight as well, it’s going to be a very good day.
For the past week I’ve been going to McKindlies for Aileen’s lunch breaks, she says she doesn’t want to keep me up all night, which is sweet of her but if it’s to see her it doesn’t matter what time it is, Aileen also mentioned she doesn’t get paid for her whole shift if I take her out, even if I pay for her she only sees a portion of what I paid for, Aileen also refuses my tips.
That being said I enjoy having these little lunches with her, I bring something from anther restaurant and we eat in the car, or we head to Aldo’s and have quick bite there, Aileen wont drink when we go to Aldo’s for lunch but I’ll drink and she’ll kiss me, so she’s kind of drinking.
It’s nearly the end of Aileen’s work week I’ve gotten to know her a bit better over these mid night lunch dates, for one she can cook and I’m looking forward to eating one of her meals she promised me and two she doesn’t like talking about her family.
If I ever asked her about what she does when she visits her family she doesn’t respond clearly, she seems flustered, annoyed or just uncountable, I don’t want to make her feel like any of that so I don’t ask, but I do enjoy listening to her talk, the way she looks at me, everything about her is perfect.
