September 10th Lunchtime, 11:45 am

The last few days had been the same for Cole, wake up before 4 am, walk to Ronjas house to then walk back to the school they pass. He was becoming irritated with this, however, the boys would not give it up. Cole had already started Alpha training officially as had his brother, through reading digitalized training books. His brother Nate would be coming home today, this put a smile on Coles' face. His classes were now harder because of his new beta Christopher, now he had university-level Math, History, English, and worst of all his woodworking elective had been changed to Art. Cole hated art with a passion which Ironically made him a very passionate artist. However, one bright thing even though he would never admit it, was Ronjas packed lunches were delicious. It beat ordering from the cafeteria and their private school, Mystic had a great food selection. 

"Are you okay Sir Alpha?" Ronja spoke with a worried look while Chris and Daniel giggled. 

"Yes, and I told you to drop the Sir just Alpha" Growling Cole as he sat at his now assigned seat beside the librarian Lena Rolf. She a spunky 26-year-old with bright pink hair and a very brilliant mind. 

"Ah there we go, back to grumpy Sir Alpha we know, you had me worried with that smile" Ronja rolled her eyes "Not allowed to worry about Sir Alpha are we now?" 

"If you must know my brother will be home tonight" Sighed Cole "If we are on the topic of different facial expressions, why do you look so worried today?"

Everyone in the room went dead silent "It's my mother and father's wedding anniversary" Ronjas voice was quiet and weak, which was unusual for her. 

"So? What's wrong with th-" Chris and Miss Rolf kicked one of Coles legs at the same time, causing him to grunt still he continued to pry "Why would that make you upset?"

Ronja smiled weakly and left, without her things. 

"I don't get it?" Cole thought to himself, why do I feel a pang of pain?

"Her stepdad gets really fierce around his ex wife's birthday, Flarenas birthday, Terrans, Ronjas, and of course any anniversaries he had with his ex. " Daniel spoke softly as Chris packed up Ronjas things. 

They all sat in silence as they finished their meals, putting their lunch containers in Ronjas bag. Chris grabbed his and her bag and started walking towards their lockers, then English as Cole followed quietly. 

"Is she not coming? Won't that ruin her great attendance, shes only missed one day since grade 5. 5 years perfect attendance down the drain too sad the w***e won't be in our school anymore for you guys to protect" Cole snickered

"She will be here if she does get kicked out we will follow" Chris smirked as Ronja walked in and sat down between him and Daniel, which felt so right to the boys. She was protected there, they couldn't help when she was not at school. Alpha Aldrian had denied their many attempts to move her and the kids into the Pack town, or at least the dorms. He told the boys he would not be responsible for 3 human children, too much paperwork would be needed. He did say he told the appropriate authorities about her predicament and they would look into it. This never seemed to help, and the boys did not want to ask her about it. 

"Sorry about that Sir Alpha I will try to behave from now on," Ronja said which Cole could not respond to as the teacher came in to start the lesson. 

September 10th 4:45 pm

Alpha Cole and the boys walked into the packhouse. Chris and Daniel now lived in the packhouse, due to being the Beta to Cole and the Betas mate to be. Even though Alpha Aldrian frowned upon them sharing a bed he allowed it as the boys' mothers had already been allowing this since they were 14. 

Cole smiled, dropped his bag, and went to his brother Nate right away. They both seemed overjoyed and walked away chattering happily. The boys went to do their homework. 

September 11th Friday 3:55 am. 

"Are we ready to go?" Cole asked with a cheery Nate beside him. Nate usually got up early to train so he did not mind.

"Yup!" Daniel also so cheerful to be up as Chris clung to his arm for balance.

Once they reached Pyronjas house they found the door locked. 

"Pyronja?! Why is the door locked! Are you okay?" Chris yelled as Daniel banged on the door madly

"If you keep banging it will break, doesn't she have a spare hidden?" Cole Yawned. 

"Does this not happen?" Nate asked.

"Hasn't yet and by their reaction it never has" Cole stretched. 

The door swung open to a small child with brown messy hair.

"Terran where is mommy?" Chris asked as he picked him up. 

All four boys and Remaa had caught up from the dorms where she still had her stuff. 

"I smell blood?" Cole said calmly. "Did the w***e kill her dad?" He called after Chris who was downstairs.

"No," Chris said now upstairs again with a baby girl, and the boy in tow "Pyronja isn't well she said to get ready and leave. She made our lunches though." 

"What happened to your chest baby boy," Remaa asked 

"Father was not happy last night, Can we eat?" Terran said waddling to the table.

They ate breakfast and dropped the kids off. No one further mentioned Ronja not coming along, except Cole he made a snarky comment on her attendance. This made everyone uncomfortable. 

September 14th Monday 5 pm. 

"Ronja hasn't been at school, can we please stop going to her house?" Cole asked his father. 

Everyone had been gathered. Chris, Daniel, Remaa, Cole, Nate, Will, and Alpha Aldrian are inside the Alpha office. 

"No, we still need to get the kids ready" Chris Sighed, he and Daniel looked nearly dead from worry.

"What's wrong with her?" Nate asked

"Why do you care about that w***e" Cole Snapped. 

"I am not sure, but I smell something nice in her house so I would like to keep going" Nate smiled "Why are you so irritated?" 

" I AM NOT" Cole yelled, then quickly sat down red-faced.

"Are so" Nate smiled. 

"Enough boys, I want to know what's wrong?" Alpha Aldrian asked.

"It's not our place, remember Alpha? You told us you would contact the right people to help her." Chris spat

"I Did, should I call them again?"

"No, don't bother, Chris and I will be leaving soon. We already set up an apartment and signed paperwork for taking the kids." Daniel spoke softly.

"You are both 15 no? How can you sign for these things?" Alpha Aldrian looked confused. "And why? Are you running away with Ronja?"

"Humans let supernatural beings sign things earlier due to our upbringing or something. And no Ronja won't be coming. " Daniel began to cry softly.

"What why?" Remaa asked. 

"Ronja is dying, she is trying to hold on but she has been in bad condition since Thursday evening, she usually patches herself up and goes to school. However, this time it didn't work. She thought she would be okay by today she was not. Instead, she told us this morning it was time to go to plan B. Which will be ready by Wednesday morning. We will leave then." Chris spoke as he held Daniel rocking him. 

"You boys are not even 16 how can you be sure you are mates? This is enough! I will call for human social services for the kids." The Alpha looked stern. 

"Look" Chris and Daniel got up and pulled their pants down. Right on their upper thighs were matching marks. In the shape of identical star-like swirls. Everyone was astonished. Mating marks were not supposed to show up so early, only in very powerful bonds. 

Before anyone could comment on this a shrill shriek came from the front door. The Alphas mother.

"What is it mom" Cole yelled as he neared the front door.

There in the doorway stood a very dirty-looking Ronja, with two crying children in her arms. 

"I'm sorry, please I'll go. I know I am not allowed here, but my children please take them." Pyronja smiled sweetly and strained to hold the children, putting them one each in Chris and Daniels' arms. 

"Don't worry we got them" Chris said as Daniel sobbed.

"Thank you" Pyronja smiled and started to walk away. It was a cold, and dry night with a bright moon. With their wolf eyes, they all could see the blood trail leading down the drive to the packhouse. A guard held her arm as she began to stumble. Blood was soaking through her shirt and pants.

"Sorry Alpha I couldn't say no to letting her bring her kids to the new Beta and his mate, I'll make sure she gets to a human hospital, come along little one" The guard spoke softly into Ronjas ear. 

"I Don't need a hospital, I'm dying anyway just take me to the edge of your pack and I'll handle the rest. The moon is it pretty tonight?" She asked as she caught up blood and crumpled to the ground. "Oh looks like I won't make it to the edge sorry about that"

"Big sister...Mommy.." Terran said through tears and sobs. 

"Come on Mommy wouldn't want you to see her like this" Chris and Daniel both left, turning around once to say "Good bye our dear friend, sorry we let you down"

"Goodbye, I love you three boys, and my sweet girl" Ronja was smiling even with blood spilling from her mouth.

The boys left with crying children, and tears in their own eyes.

"Please don't go" Cole had dragged her into her arms. 

"She's our mate? Why didn't you tell me? I know you say she's a w***e! But she's our MATE!" Nate had lost it.

Cole just stared at her face as she lazily smiled looking up to the sky but no longer seeing anything through her Amber eyes once full of sparkle, now dull. 

"Sir Alpha Cole, whatever is the matter? You won't have to wake up early anymore, and I'll be leaving now you won't have to deal with me anymore" Pyronja smiled and nestled her head into Cole's arm. "I'm not a w***e" was the last thing she said, before her eyes closed and her smile faded her breath became dangerously shallow. 

"Our mates' last words will be I'm not a w***e, all because of you and father" Slumped beside Cole and Pyronja.

"Why is this my fault?" Alpha Aldrian asked as he ordered for the pack doctors to come right away. 

"They begged you to help her, I was there," Nate said softly as his mate he had not even met properly was loaded onto a stretcher.

"I called the right people, I should have checked in with them," Alpha Aldrian said, even though both of his sons had left with their dying mate. "A human can't survive this much blood loss what are we going to do?" 

"I don't know dear" Luna Tina said with worry.
