I lay awake staring at the ceiling above me. How did my life turn like this? I went from having two loving parents and an annoying but yet loving brother. To having no one. I stared until the ceiling began to play my memories for me. The day we went to Disneyland or the day we spend playing family games.
The sound of the alarm clock awakens me and I gently shut it off and bounce out of bed. My room wasn’t mine. It didn’t feel like house. I had a cheap single bed, which I have overgrown in but cannot afford or risk to ask for a new one. The dresser in the corner of the room was white, not matching the headboard of the bed, and it was chipping and had a few drawers that were broken. The only thing that I enjoyed about this room, is that it had its own bathroom.
It wasn’t that great either, the shower had no door or curtain, it was one sink without a cabinet and the toilet would constantly get clogged. So you see the conditions that I live in. I stripped my old baggy clothes and proceeded to jumping in the shower, allowing the hot water to run down my aching back.
Hissing as it grazed the fresh purple and blue bruises that were inflected the day before. Wrapping the towel around me and walked back to my room. I grabbed the clothes that I planned to wear today, a black sweater and black sweatpants. I glanced at the mirror viewing the results of yesterday’s altercation, a black eye. I quickly concealed the evidence and brushed my hair. I put on my want over worn converse and headed down the stairs.
Being an orphan was better than the life that I have. I give in to the church that was located near here, I don’t remember the name. It was run by a group of Nuns, they would tucks us in, they taught us to read and write. They would get excited, more than the children, when parents would come and try to adopt the children. She always believed that we had great things before us, if she only saw me now.
My adoptive parents only wanted children for the sake of the money that the government gives. They never cared about me but they weren’t abusive until she died. He believe that it was my fault, like I was the one that told her to overdose, like I was the one buying her the drugs.
I hear stumbling and the sound of plates crashing to the floor. Great, I have to clean that up. I walk to where the sound was coming from, to find him grabbing a beer from the fridge after he dropped the other. He doesn’t seem to notice I was there. I should just leave now. Just like that I believe he read my mind.
“Where are you, you little skank!” His voice boomed through the house. I even felt the ground shake beneath me. Many would wet themselves but I have gotten used to it. He turned around and saw that I was standing behind him, fury covered his eyes. “You have been standing there and you didn’t even try to make me breakfast!”
My eyes widen. I knew I was forgetting something.
“I am sorry it won’t happen again,” I mumbled.
“You’re right it won’t happen again.” With that said, in a swift movement he grabbed me by the hair and threw me to the wall. I hit the photo frame and fall straight to the ground. He pulled his leg back and slammed it to my stomach. Acid rose to my throat, or is it blood. He spat at me and walked away.
I slowly get off the floor without causing any further damage. I see a shrapnel of glass located in my hand. I remove the shrapnel and bandage the hand as swiftly as possible. I glanced around room and notice the broken glasses. I knew that I had it clean it up. But after I came back from school.
I grabbed my fallen bag and leave the haunted house. The walk to school was peaceful. It was filled with laughter as strangers in love giggled, or the sound of children screaming, happy screaming, as their father chased them to the car.
A ghost smile appeared as I reminisce the events with my parents. I continued to walk to school. Glancing at my watch. I had exactly 30 minutes before school began. Placing my headphones in and I quickly paced toward Hell.
Staring at the tall brown building before me, gave an uneasy feeling in my gut. I don’t know that is whether it was telling me something or it was when he kicked me. As I climbed the stairs to Hell, with each step my stomach clenched in pain, leaving me breathe less when I reached the top.
I arrived 10 minutes before the bell, as I glanced down at my watch. Although I didn’t like school, I still try my best to come early and get good marks. So when the time comes I can go to college and leave this life behind. This school is a very stereotypical place, they had the jocks, the nerd, Goths, popular and outcasts.
Lucy and her little minions stood near the entrance of the building. Great, this is what I just needed. Lucy was part of the popular group, she believes she rans this school because she is the arm candy of Blake Jackson, the notorious Jock.
Rumours around school say that he and his friends bet to have girls sleep with him. It is absolutely disgusting. Taking a deep breath. I walked toward my locker.
“Good morning loser,” Lucy said in a sweet voice. This is weird. I slowly open my locker and BAM. Instant pink paint cover my face and my locker. Laughter was heard. I know she was up to something.
I rushed to the bathroom and tried to wash the paint off. The bell went signalling it was class time. f**k, I was late. The paint vanished and the bruises appeared, I grabbed the concealer from my bag and covered the ugly marks.
I grabbed my bag and headed towards my class. As I existed I run into a wall. I looked up and my eyes widen to who stood in front of me, Blake Jackson.
“Sorry,” I mumbled and ran to my class without looking back. I never realised that he was in all my classes until today.
Blake
I woke up rather early today, I don’t know why, but it feels like a good day today. I peeked at the time and it was 6am. Too early for school. I glanced around the room. I need seriously upgrade the room.
I was currently lying on a king sized bed, covered with a navy sheet. In the right corner of the room was a white shiny dresser beside it was a built in wardrobe, which was empty. I left it empty to have my mate clothes there. On the left side of the room was a small lover’s seat with a HD TV on the wall.
Every room in this house had its own bathroom. As I got up and walked to the bathroom, my darling mother screamed:
“Blake get up, you are going to be late for school.”
“I am already up,” I shouted back and proceeded to shower. I closed the tabs and wrapped the towel around my waist. I walked toward the dresser and picked black pant and a white plain top. I brushed my hair back, away from my face, but on my shoes and went down stairs.
As I reached the bottom, I glanced in the living room to see my sister, Ashley, cuddling with my best friend and beta, Jace.
“Good morning,” I said to the household. No reply was heard. Not surprised they were too busy.
I envied their relationship, how they have each other, how they can hold and love each other. I really needed to find my mate. I know that if my mate was from school, then she would have heard all the rumors about me. I know what they say. They are not true.
I sat on the stool and ate the plate of pancakes that was placed in front of me. I swallowed my food, grabbed my keys and went to my Harley. I jumped on and speed off to Hell.
I parked my bike near the school entrance, sighing as I took off the helmet and leaving it on the handles of the bike. I glanced at the tall building before me. I cannot wait till I finish school.
Running my fingers through my soft hair, I began to walk toward the building. As I walked through the halls I heard mumbling and gossip, some even directly spoke to me saying:
“Hey Blake.”
“You look good today”
I ignored them and continued to walk in the pathways, I sighed when I saw Lucy leaning against my locker. Great. I slowly walked toward the locker. Lucy caught sight of me and bounced on me, placing a sloppy kiss on my lips.
“Blakeyy, I have missed you so much, why didn’t you call me yesterday?” She said, her arms still around my neck. I removed her arms and slightly pushed her away.
“Don’t touch me. I already told you, that whatever we had is over,” I replied and continued to open my locker. She laughed. She actually laughed. “I am not joking”
She stopped, mouth gaped. I saw Jace and the rest of the boys walk toward me. Lucy walked away, laughing at the prank they pulled. She is so childish.
Can't wait when we meet our mate.
Not going to lie, but she is good in bed. But not to date. They boys and I lingered around the lockers, discussing pack matters, when the bell rang for class time.
I said my goodbye and began to walk towards the room. I nice strawberry and chocolate scent filled my nose, making my wolf jump in joy.
Mate
I cannot believe that she is here. I cannot wait to see her. Without that been said, she came out of the bathroom and planted herself on my chest. She fell on the ground, eyes widen as she glanced back up at me. I guess she knows who I am.
She mumbled a small ‘sorry’ and proceed to walk away. She is a human. If she was a werewolf she could have felt the pull. I began to walk to class, not forgetting her emerald green eyes and soft features.
She was in all of my classes, she placed herself at the back of the room. Away from everyone, like she was trying to hide with the shadows. I tried to approach her, but she ran every time. Damn.
