Chapter 2

Alison This day just kept going. Every time I saw Blake I turned and ran the other way. I cannot have him hot on my tail. I know what he was going to do, humiliate me, torment me and I cannot have that. I don’t think I could handle that. Something about him makes my heart beat 110 beats per minute. I should stay away from him. He is trouble. I am currently sitting at the rock that was placed in the forest across the school. It is a peaceful place, where not a lot of students come here. I usually do this before going back home to face the demon of my life. The rock faced a little lake that went on for miles, the lake sparkled and shined as the light beamed. I sat on the rock, reading the book that has been in my bag for over 3 days now. This is the only time I get for myself.  I heard the snapping of the twigs coming deeper from the forest. I peeked around and saw nothing. I slowly returned to my book, when I heard another snap. Sighing, believing that it was probably Lucy and her minions pulling another prank on me. “Whoever is there, come out,” I yelled into the depth of the forest. Silence. Returning back to my book, I heard growling. No it was not my stomach but an animal. I slowly turned around and I was welcomed by 3 wolves with bright red eyes, growling at me. I didn’t know what to do. I slowly picked up my bag, with that movement one of them jump on me. Making me fall back into the group with the wolf on top of me. Tears ran down my face. I never knew this was the way I would die. No one would care, I was just a freak, a w***e that no one likes. I had no friends or family that gave a s**t about me. Hearing another growl I shifted my eyes to find a grey wolf, sneering at the one on top of me, this one looked friendly. It bounced on the wolf above me, I grabbed my bag and tried to run. Forgetting that they were 3. The 2ND Evil Wolf bit my leg. I screamed. Hoping someone would come rescue me. This is a nightmare. The nice would grabbed the evil one by the neck and threw him to the trees. Sobbing as I looked at the injured sight. Feeling light headed. I slowly closed my eyes and the darkness consumed me. Blake I sat in my wolf form. Watching as she read through her book. Her eyes shined as the sun reflected on them. I am not creepy, I just wanted her safe. This parts of the woods are unmarked so many rogues pass on by. I heard a twig snap, both our heads snap toward the sound. She sees nothing, I walk to find the source of the sound. Another twig snapped on the other side of the forest. She got up and yelled into the depth. I tried to smell who was there, but it was her scent that filled my nostrils. See the 3 rogues I stayed alert. She was seen grabbing her bag, when one of the rogues bounced on top of her. She was terrified. Blood boiling, I jumped on the wolf above her, I slammed him to the group, and left him unconscious. I heard a ground shaking scream, I saw another rogue biting onto my mate’s leg. I quickly jumped and snapped his neck with my teeth. 2 dead, one ran. I changed back to my human form. Not caring that I was nude. I carried her unconscious body all the way to the Hospital that the pack has. As I arrived at the hospital, Nurses and Doctors ran to my aid. Gently grabbing her and taking her to surgery. I stood there shocked and afraid, that I will be losing her before I even have her. I was unaware that one of the doctors was talking to me. “What is her name, alpha?” She asked. I don’t know. How do I not know my own mates name. I stared at her. I don’t know what to say. “Alison Thompson,” I heard it coming behind me, I turned and it was Ashley. The doctor nodded and continued to fill out the paperwork. “She has classes with us. I thought you knew that” “No, I didn’t. I know it sounds terrible but I have never seen her, until today.” I replied, sitting down as I waited for the results. It was currently 6pm and we are still waiting for the doctors. Another hour passed and the doctors showed up. “How is she?” I asked, I know it’s going to be bed. “She lost a lot of blood. We patched the wound and placed a cast around her leg. She will not be able to work for a few days, after that she will need to see a physio to help with the walking. She will need a cane to help as well,” the doctor explained. I stood, frozen, as I hear all the damage that was caused and how I didn’t help her fast enough. This is all my fault. “Thank you doctor,” My sister replied. I just couldn’t find the words. “That is not all. We have found some bruises and broken limbs that have incorrectly healed. Do you happen to know what the cause of it was?” She asked. She was staring at me. My temper was going through the roof. “If you believe that I have done that, then you are crazy!” I shouted. How dare them. I would never. “I’m sorry Alpha. It’s just a routine check. I had to ask.” With that said the doctor left, leaving me in my heated temper. “Go take a break, I will link you when she is awake,” Ashley said. I nodded. I needed to get away before I hurt someone else. I began to walk and turned into the hallway that connected the hospital to the pack house. I decided that I needed to get some paper work done and try to figure out why the rogues attacked my mate. No one knows she is my mate, so she shouldn’t be harmed. I continued to walk to the office, as I came near, I noticed the door was opened. I was alerted. Who would be in my office? No one is allowed. I walked in to see Lucy sitting on my chair. My annoyance and temper just rose as I saw her. “What do you think you’re doing?” I asked, sick of her s**t. “Well, I heard that there was a rogue attack, so I wanted to relieve you off the stress,” She replied as she got up from the chair and stalked toward me. “I am okay, so I need you to leave.” “You really don’t want me to leave, I can help you.” I grabbed her by the neck and slammed her to the wall. Her eyes widen as she was gasping for air. “I told you to leave. So obey.” I growled showing authority. I let go of her neck and she ran out slamming the door shut.  I sighed, running my fingers through my hair. I sat down on the chair. Before I even looked through the paper, I was mind linked by a pack member. ‘Captured Rouge on the west side. She was trying to pass through’ She? That’s odd. ‘Just take her to the dungeons and I will come there soon.’ I replied. This has been a very busy day. As I was going to the dungeon, Jace stood near the door. “Can I help you?” I asked him, cringing at the tone that was used. “Is she your mate?” He replied. Confused as what he is talking about. “The girl in the hospital with the broken leg. Is she your mate?” I nodded. They are going to find out one way or the other. Nodding Jace left, I guess to be with his mate. ‘She is awake,’ Ashley mind linked me, stating my mate’s condition.  Worrying about the rogue later, I proceeded to see my mate, Alison.
