Chapter 2: Sexy smirk

Lorelei Larissa's P.O.V.

I laughed. “You’re crazy,” I commented and shook my head.

“Wow, huh. I know you super duper likes it,” she said and laughed too.

"Yeah. Thanks,” I said and clung to her.

She held my hand and we both entered their house.

“Mommy, Lorelie is here!” Sophie shouted so that she would be heard.

They all call me Lorelei, except for Joziah. He wants to call me by my second name, which is Larissa. He’s the only one who calls me with that.

Aunt Jasmin peeked from the entrance of the dining room. She smiled widely at me. “Come here, my dear,” she said came closer to me.

We walked towards her. When we reached her place, she kissed my cheeks. She’s always sweet to me like this. Since I was a child, I am really close to her. She is like my second mother.

"Hi, Aunt," I greeted her and kissed her cheeks too. I really miss her.

She invited us to go to the dining.

As we entered, I saw Joziah busy looking at his phone. I rolled my eyeballs because of that. Maybe he is busy texting her girlfriend. Hmp.

“Wait,” Aunt said and made sure that all the foods she had ready was all on the table already. “Okay. Let’s eat now.” Then she claps her hands.

I sat next to Sophie. While the person in front of me is Joziah.

"Joziah can you put down your phone," his mom said.

He nodded to what his mother said and put down his phone. Then started to get food.

“My brother might melt,” Sophie whispered.

I just gave her a look, saying that she should be quiet about that.

She just secretly laughed at me and started to dig in with her food.

“So, how’s life?” Auntie asked me. She is right next to Uncle Sebastian, who is quietly eating.

I just answered her that my life is fine. Then I continued eating. I missed her cooks huh. It is so yummy.

I feel so joyous while eating. Auntie and Sophie keep on telling story and asking to me.

While Uncle and Joziah are busy with each other.

I am always looking at him, but he never bothered to give me even a glimpse.

When we’re done eating. Auntie and I go to the living room and continued talking there.

Sophie is in her room now. She said that after talking with her mom, I should go to her room too.

And Joziah is outside. He headed there because he is on the phone with his girlfriend. So sweet. Amazing. I really want to praise their relationship. Please insert sarcastic tone.

“Tita, can I ask?”

"Sure, what is it?" she answered.

“Did Joziah already brought his girlfriend here? Like to introduce her to you. I’m just curious.”

Hmm… it is not that obvious that I am so jealous, right?

She stared at me for seconds, then chuckled. “You don’t need to hide your jealousy, Lorelei. We both know that you still have feelings for my son. So, to answer your question, he didn’t bring Tania here. She just got here when Sophie invited them to group study. But I didn’t see her then, because I am not here that time.”

I smiled shyly at her. “Thanks for answering my question, Auntie. I think I should go to Sophie now.”

She waved at me then headed to Sebastian Sebastian, who is busy reading newspaper at the balcony.

I walked upstairs and was about to go to Sophie’s room, but I saw Joziah’s room open a little.

Their room is just side by side.

I slowly step towards his door. I peeked and saw him on the bed already. I didn’t see him enter the house earlier because I am really busy talking with Tita.

Oh and let me tell you this, he is not wearing a top. And even if I am facing his back, I know that his body is luscious. I mean, nice body.

I am just staring at him and even imagine myself touching his body. Why I am so naughty with that?Oh gosh.

My imagination burst when he speaks. “Why are you here?” he asked that made me jump a little. I didn’t notice that he is already in front of me.

I gulped. Earlier, facing his back, I am already being seduced. And now that I am seeing his front body, I can clearly see his abs. Oh… I can’t help but to bite my lips. I really want to touch that part of his body.

"I'm waiting for your answer."

I avoided his gaze. “Nothing,” I answered. Then I run towards Sophie’s room.

My heart is now beating so fast. It was about to go out of its cage.

I heard him chuckled before I finally close Sophie’s door.

I leaned on the door and touch my chest.

“What kind of reaction is that?” Sophie asked, teasing me.

I just glared at her and sat at her bed.

She raised her eyebrow. “Mind to tell me what happened,” she said. “Is it because of my brother?” Then she laughed. Knowing the real reason.

"Shut up."

After a while she throws a question. “So, what is your plan now?”

I stared at her. “I want to get him back,” I said with determination.

She slaps my arm. “Woah. Chill. What I mean is what is your plan for the first day of school. But, since you answered me that, let’s talk about it. What’s your first plan in getting him back?”

“Actually, I can’t still think a plan now how to get him back. But I am still plotting in on my head.”

“Oh gosh, my lovely friend. Time is running so you need to think about it immediately. Or else when the time comes you will too late because he is already drowned to Tania,” she said with exaggeration. Then she lays on her bed but in sideways so she can still face me.

I sighed. “I know and I can’t let that to happen.”

After that talk, we decided to go to their garden.

“Have overnight here, ha?”

I smiled at her. “Yeah. Just make sure that I will be sleeping next to your brother,” I joked.

She gasped. “Oh my! Is it really you? You are open minded now,” she proudly said and laughed.

“I’m just kidding,” I said and flipped my hair.

She pouted. “I don’t really like Tania for my brother. I think there is some kindness from her, but I can’t really feel her, like being close to her.”

I stared at nowhere. “Does that Tania knows that Joziah is still in the relationship when she flirted with him?”

She nods her head. “In our group study, there are so many girls. They saw my brother and said that they like him. But I told them to back off because he already has a girlfriend. In short, Tania really knows that Joziah is off limit.”

I took a deep breathe because of irritation. “So, it really means that she is a leech.” Then formed a fist.

“I was so shock when I learnt that they are always talking to each other. Because if you’ll see Tania in person, she really looks like a girl who is innocent and can’t do anything bad,” she said with a disappointment in her tone.

I laughed sarcastically. “I want to meet her.”

"You can meet her at our school."

We continued talking there, but Tita Jasmin called her.

“Sophie,” Tita shouted from the house.

“Yes, Mom?” Sophie answered.

“Come here with Lei. Taste what I baked,” she invited.

We happily nod our heads with that.

She baked a red velvet cake and it looks delicious. I'm a fond of sweet foods.

When I tasted it an ‘o’ formed in my mouth. “So delicious, Tita. You are really good at baking. Even when we are kids, you always bakes for us and I will never get tired tasting what you baked,” I said with honesty. I am really not joking with that.

We are busy eating cake when Joziah headed to us.

“Joziah, taste it,” Tita said.

He nods his head and sat next to Sophie. He spooned the cake and eat it.

If there is something common to both of us. It is our love for sweet foods.

I just watched him eating cake. He’s still my baby.

He raised his eyes and looks at me. I didn’t avoid it, same with him.

That’s why while he is chewing, our eyes are still connected to each other.

I can still feel it.

There is still a spark between us.

I can feel that there is still hope in our relationship.

After chewing, he smirked at me then stands up to put the saucer on the sink.

His sexy smirks sent shivers down my spine.
