Her blood climbed up her head. She was completely turned red and her heart is about to shut in any moment. Her head went blank and unoccupied. She didn’t know what to do. Her brain that controls her body was refusing her commands. O come on! You stubborn! She wanted to scold her brain. She froze staring at his eyes while their lips were sealed and unbothered. Are they playing ‘stop-dance’ and the first to make a move will be the loser?
Demire was surprised too. It was the first time he’d messed up his own tenet. Probably no answer for his ‘how come’ and ‘whys’. He helped her up and immediately distanced himself to her. Her blank eyes somehow brought him in haze. They were stuck staring at each other for more than a minute and no one exert an effort to ask something. Oh, what a good scenery. Demire, the devil, had gone having no words left to spill out.
“M-Mr. Goddard…” Sofia finally muttered. He noticed her hands were shaking and those bewildered eyes of her that was absolutely blank before.
Demire took a very deep sigh and turned his back to her. He’d gotten more upset in him. He washed his face with his palm, strived hard to vanish the imbecility in his face. “I’m sorry,” he said not giving her a look. He’d chosen not to look at her because each time he’ll look at her eyes, bringing him tons of questions that he has no answers yet.
Sofia couldn’t think the action she supposed to do. Her new boss kissed her. It was just they third day meeting each other and yet this man stole her first ever kiss. She saved it more than her age for his prince and yet a man she wasn’t even know yet was took her first kiss. Oh my God! My virginity! Her head screaming as if she loses the treasures prolonged for twenty-four years of her existence. She couldn’t call him ‘bastard’, that’s not the way she sees him.
“Tss!”
She heard him hissed and walked away.
“What should I do?” she whispered. She kept on asking herself the same Aquestion. She shook her head and run to follow him. The entire house was big enough and too complicated for her to memorize. “Mr. Goddard, wait!”
“That will be your room. Get in,” he ordered her as they stopped in front of the oak door. Probably the guest room mentioned a while ago. After that, he left. He didn’t give her a chance to speak something in her head.
Sofia sighed and closed her hand. She stood there for five minutes before decide to get inside the guest room. She smiled astound when the room appeared beautiful in her eyes. Classy and neat. She sat down the edge of the soft bed and suddenly her mind traveled back the time they lips met the first time. The unusual feeling inside her heart reverted.
That kiss! That man! He’s all that bothers me! Sofia laid down the bed without even removing her slippers. She couldn’t take him out of his mind. “Why do he have to kiss me, that’s insane…” she muttered herself, playing the tiny strands of her curl hair. “Is he thinking about me the same as how I badly thinking how ridiculous that scene!?” She tweaked her hair and spread both arms and legs on the huge space of the bed. “I need to sleep, so I will have energy tomorrow but how could I?” She sighed and closed her eyes. “Please! Let me sleep, Mr. Goddard,” begging on her tone. Funny, the wholesome Demire plaguing her now.
The distance between their rooms will never be an obstacle for Demire. He clearly hearing everything what she saying. He walked near the window and parted the curtain to see the view outside. The rain kept pouring heavily. Strong gale and flood occurred but that’s not what he thinking right now. No matter how cold the weather was and the thunder obstructed around, he only cares about her lips. He might be a hypocrite for stealing a kiss from his employee but who cares? He just followed the order of his own desire. And what’s wrong about it?
The only thing that bothers him now was the thought she might hate him forever. But that is all what he really cared about? Of course not! There was something more than that thought but he couldn’t expound. He shook his head and listened what she saying.
“My virgin lips, not a virgin anymore.” She sounds really upset now.
“Virginity? Sucks!” he mouthed. Is that really important for her? “Wait, what?” He faced the wall from the side where was her room. “Does it mean, she has not kissed anyone and yet I stole her first? Dammit, Demire. You, dumbass!” He bit his lower lip and tossed himself on the sofa. Why did he do that? Now, he owes her something. How could he pay her? Should he kiss her again so that he can pay her?
“Dammit!”
He shook his head and closed his eyes. He started to wonder how will he remove her in his mind. He has to wake up early and go to work. This is not the usual him. When he got home early, he will sleep early. But now that he did something ridiculous with the woman he wasn't know yet, he already worried not sleep thinking her the whole night. "Stupid! This is not me, I don't care anyone! I never cared about human!"
