Every time things gone wrong or every time she was getting into trouble, Demire was always be his knight in shinning armor. He is always ready to take her away and save her. She has no idea about the answer to every feeling bothering her every time he was near. She has no answer yet regarding about her, being comfortable and safe with him. “Are you okay?” Demire asked her. He reached her on the lobby and waved his keys. “Let’s go?”
She nodded and smiled at him. He held her arm to help her stand. “Thank you.” When they reached the building’s entrance, her hands automatically grabbed his arm and hold there tight. “Oh my, God! They still there.” She pointed the two man on the small tree standing four meters away from them. They seemed waiting someone alone to walk on the road. “They are the crazy men. I’m scared.”
Demire touched the back of her palm. “Calm down, they cannot harm you.” He sighed and stared at the two guys drinking beers. “I’m here.” His words were magical. It calms her down. It melted the fear inside her. He held her hand, entwined their fingers that elevated her eyes to see his. A smile formed his lips and it didn’t vanish easily. This was the first time he smiled at her that took a minute to vanish. She smiled back at him. “Let’s go.”
The two men didn’t notice them until they reached his car. The moment she sat on the shotgun seat, she felt relieved. She sighed. “Thank you, Demire.”
He stared at her didn’t drive yet. “I’m glad you are calling me the way I told you. Good.” His last word sounded like she did something excellent, like she was on school and recited the answer excellently. After the five minutes staring at each other he decided to finally drive her home. On their way to their apartment, the ride took thirty minutes. Sofia left the car first with her bag on her shoulder. She started searching for her key and Demire didn’t leave her not until she will enter her room safely.
She started to get panic when she could not find her keys. Sweats appeared on her forehead and she continued what she doing.
“Everything okay?” he asked as he noticed her uneasy. “Is there any problem again?”
She sighed over and over again and groaned. “This is embarrassing!” She tapped her cheeks to wake herself up.
“Why? What happened?” He became curious. “Don’t tell me you lose your keys?”
What is on earth that made this man good at guessing things about her. She was completely embarrassed in front of him. This is often happened to her. While they were on the road, driving home, she was planning to offer him dinner with her since Lily was not going home tonight and she has no one to eat dinner with. It was her plan to at least thank him for being so kind to her and for always saving her. She never got a chance to give him something as her ‘thank you gift’. It always ruined. He’s always the one treating her out and sending her home juts like what he’d done tonight. What will going to think about her? She’s a gold-digger? That she only wanted things for free and didn’t know how to help back to other people who had done things for her? That is ridiculous!
“Sofia? It’s late, you need to rest.” He remained calm and cool. He was standing, staring directly to her stupidity and waiting for her answer.
“I’m sorry. I wasted your time here and I can’t offer you anything.” She faced him eyes wanted to tell some apology.
He felt so attacked because of the sudden changes with her beautiful eyes. He sighed. “You know that I’m not asking for anything in return. I’m doing this because I want to do it.” He remained facing her.
She shook her head. “But I want to. I was planning to make dinner for us, so I can pay you to those good things you’d done for me, but I always ended up facing you with embarrassment.” Her eyes went teary. She’s such an awful woman that hated the world for being someone unacceptable. She’s always in trouble, unlucky and embarrassing woman after all. This might be stupid, a woman crying with small things that nobody would do but she’s doing it. Literally. She is a very soft woman, kind and thoughtful. She will be everyone’s favorite if she will just know. Her attributes caught Demire’s interest, even though he already closed his heart for someone, a long time ago. There is always a good thing after the bad one, is just that she has to believe about it.
“Hey, don’t cry…” he gulped seeing her teary eyes. His hands unwantedly moved up to touch her cheeks. He wiped her tears away and smiled at her. “Y-you’re planning to cook for me and offer me to join dinner with you inside your apartment?”
She nodded, sniffing.
He chuckled. “That’s horrible!” He became the happiest man in the word the time he received his answer. It was the first time that someone offered him that thing, and apparently… and made him really happy. A simple effort for him is worth everything, especially tonight and to this woman he’d just met two weeks ago. He smiled at her. He cannot control himself anymore, he wanted to hug her, then he did. Sofia gasped in surprised and eyes widened but she liked what he did, it was something that comforts her now. He parted her to him and faced her holding both of her cheeks. “I loved that offer but you should not offer it to anyone good at you, okay? That was so dangerous.”
“What do you mean?” She can smell his scent and his warm breath because of their small distance.
“Just don’t do it to anyone, I just wanted you to offer it to me. Only to me.”
