ELIJAH'S POV
I came out of my office, just finishing paperwork about the pack. That's when I heard a loud, saddening howl. I knew by the way my wolf was so jumpy that the wolf had to be our sweet Adira.
I run outside to see what was going on. What had made my beautiful mate so upset. But to my eye-site I saw my beta, Jace. And he's parents walking close behind.
"Where's my mate?" I gritted with authority radiating off of me.
"There was some difficulty when I let her meet my family." Jace replied with he's head low. I couldn't tell if it was for respect or for shame. But what could he possibly be ashamed off?
"What difficulty? Spit it out!" I was getting angrier by the second. The thought that they bought distress to my Queen made me murderous.
"She's-" Just as Jace was going to tell me, Jeffrey, he's farther butted in.
"She's my daughter, your highness." My face grew shocked. How could he be her farther if he was here at this pack for years. Nearly 18 years..... s**t.
"You mean to tell me you abandoned your own pup!" I was angry, I knew he would have had reasons, but just the thoughts of someone abandoning my mate hurt me.
"Get out of my site." I replied through gritted teeth as I tried to hold back my temptation from hurting this old man.
"Jace, you send out trackers. There's been a lot of rouges. I don't want Adira in the middle of all of this." He didn't say anything, as if he was hiding something from me.
"What are you not telling me, Jace?" He looked at me, he was hesitant but then finally opened he's mouth to speak.
"Your mate will be fine if rouges come." What the actual f**k did he say? Did he say it was alright for my mate, he's f*****g Luna and Queen to be exposed to danger!
"What are you trying to say? And I assure you, you better choose your words carefully. Beta." I spat the 'Beta' part out with venom in my tone, making sure he knew he's rank before telling me something that'll get him killed.
"Some of the guards did research on her from the first day she came. She's not just a rouge, Elijah. She's the rouge Queen." I was taken back by he's words. Adira? My Adira?
"I didn't see in the file that we were related, although I'm guessing that was because my farther didn't sign anything proving she was he's." He looked at me with sadness in he's eyes before continuing.
"Elijah, Adira has been a rouge since she was born." My heart ached at he's words. Since she was born?
"Go send trackers. I want my mate brought back safely!" He bowed he's head in submission and walked off.
My wolf, Damien opened up the mind-link.
'We need to find her.' He cried out with pain, but also something else. Determination.
I nodded before shutting down the mind-link.
I walked over preparing my warriors. Because me and my wolf had a feeling that something big was coming tonight.
ADIRA'S POV
A ran all the way back to my rouge back. When I saw the big shed that we have been hiding out in, I shifted back.
Still with my clothes attached. Seeing that was one of the perks of being a white rare wolf.
"Where have you been?" Justin asked in a frustrated tone. "We've been trying to contact you for days. Did you forget that tonight is the night."
"Yes, I know." I replied as I walked passed him and towards the shed door, but not before looking back at him and saying.
"By the way, watch your tone when you speak to me. Or did these couple of days made you forget who I am?" I heard him gulp, and I returned it with a smirk. Knowing I made him think twice before using that tone again.
As I walked in, I was greeted by 200 hundred rouges.
I smiled before standing in front of them and telling them the plan.
"Today we will take over the King's pack. And together lead over all." They cheered and whistled at my words, but my wolf on the other hand was not amused.
'What the hell do you think you're doing?' Great, she's pissed.
'Giving them what they want.' I replied with a smirk.
'Did you not forget we have a younger brother in that pack now! And our mate, Adira!'
'We also have the farther that abandoned us, and left when our mother died, just for what? To get another woman pregnant and deciding he's not going to abandoned that pup!'
'They had nothing to do with our farther's behaviour! Don't be so obsessed with revenge that it'll cloud your judgement' And just like that, my wolf shut the mind-link off.
I knew she was right, but also I knew I can't let my own farther get away with the things he's done.
No, this war is not for the freedom of all wolves. This war has just turned into my revenge. And I'll do everything until I see the pain in my farther's eyes. Even if it means killing the royal pack members one by one.
Even if it means being rejected by my mate.
