CHAPTER 21 ADIRA'S POV It was 20 minutes till it was dark, meaning I didn't have much time left. I know it's wrong to leave my mate, but when you become a leader of people who put their lives and loyalty to you, there will be sacrifices to be made. And if loving my mate has to be sacrificed to protect my people from harm and hunger, then so be it. You may come across my story in years to be promise in the future and think I'm selfish, stupid, something you didn't expect. But once you become a leader all distractions are to be put a side, your only purpose is to protect your people. "My Queen, it begins shortly. We must leave now." My rouge, Blaine explained as she kept a look out so no one will see us. "You go first, tell my our people I will be reunited with them once again shortly.
