My Unexpected Romance

Description: This is the love story of a prince and an archer.It may contain- love, romance, prince and archer's love, some sad parts, and happy ending. Lance Cecil grew up in a royal family. He was the prince, son of a powerful queen. He usually wore normal outfits because the prince's suit made him feel uncomfortable. His life was lonely until the day he found his true love. Lance was 19 years old and narrator of this story. Luna was an orphan girl who was an archer. Her parents died when she was just a child and she had to face childhood traumas. She didn't even get an opportunity to know her last name. She grew up alone in the forest and took care of herself. She was an independent archer who fell in love with Lance. She's 18 years old. Queen Alice Cecil is a single mother of Lance who was powerful and ruled her land. She was kind to everyone and took her role seriously. Kate Cecil was Alice's mother and Lance's grandma and best friend. After she abdicated and passed down her crown and power to Alice, the only thing she wanted to do was to spend time with her daughter and grandson until her last breath. Chapter 1 "Ugh, why is my life so lonely?", said I while laying on my royal bed and staring at the night sky full of stars. And a bright, glowing moon could be seen. "Probably, because you haven't found your love, sweet heart." said my grandma while knocking at my door. She entered the room and sat on my bed. I quickly got up and sat beside her. "When I was a queen, I found my lover who was deeply in love with me and so did I." said my grandma while smiling and watching the bright stars through the window, "We got married and I gave birth to your mother. However, she wasn't interested in love. She only cared about the empire." "Wow, having a lover might be awesome, right grandma?", I asked with an amazed voice. "Hmm...yes, sweetheart." she smirked. My grandma was my best friend. I never wanted to make friends because I found it boring. I also thought that having friends as a prince, I might be surrounded by gold diggers and manipulators. Therefore, my grandma was my only best friend. We both had a chit chat for a few minutes. Then, grandma went to her bedroom and I fell asleep as she turned off the light and closed the door. The next day My mother was out of town for some business and grandma was having a tea party with her royal friends from the ally empire. So, I decided to explore a jungle in the neighbouring town. The jungle I had never been to. I told my grandma about this. She took out her sword that she used in her younger days. She gave me that sword and said, "In case, for self-defense. Take care, sweetheart" she said while patting my head. I gave her a smile. Then, I went to my bedroom, took a quick shower and slicked my hair back. I put on a basic amethyst T-shirt, black pants and white shoes. My royal outfit made me feel uncomfortable and that was why I put on a basic outfit. I grabbed the sword, said goodbye to grandma and left the castle. Chapter 2 My violet eyes watched the cute, little animals playing around the jungle, which was full of colourful flowers. I kept exploring the jungle and viewed its beautiful nature. Everything was fun until I spotted an archer. Her cyan eyes aggressively stared at my violet eyes, thinking I was a hunter. She was in a navy gown and brown braces hugged her wrist. Her skin was glowing and her lip was wet. Oh my...she's so adorable. I thought that I was in love. Oh, hey!" I tried to greet her nicely, "I'm Lance Cecil, the prince of the neighbouring town." A wave of relief formed on her face when she thought I was harmless. We exchanged our names. Hers was Luna. What a beautiful name, just like her. I offered her if she wanted to be my friend. She was shocked and said that She was an archer and I was a prince. "So?" I casually asked, "It doesn't mean that we can't be friends." Of course. I wanted to be her friend so that I would not lose an opportunity to get along with her. I wanted her to be my partner and spend the rest of our lives together. "Alright then, I'd love to be friends with you, prince.", said she, softly. Prince? I was expecting her to call me Lance or other friendly words... "Hey, call me by my name." said I because I did not want my future wife to be formal. Yes. My future wife. "Ok, Lance.", said Luna. A beautiful smile formed on her face when she called me that. "Now that we are friends, would you like to come to my house?", asked Luna, softly. "We can talk to each other and get along well." I smiled and said, "Sure! I'd love to see your house." After walking for 2 minutes "There!", said Luna while pointing at a tree house in a distance, "That's my house. The house where I grew up." The tree house was brown with coffee-coloured roof. The door was white with a golden knob. Several windows could be seen around the house. Next to the tree, there was a small garden. It had two white chairs and a round table. It was surrounded by colourful flowers. Luna probably made that beautiful garden. We walked inside the house. The interior was small and cozy. The wall was brown and it had transparent windows. The floor was navy and there were three lavender sofas with a white, round table in the centre. A heart-shaped rug could be seen on the navy floor. There was a coffee bed on the right. It had a tall lamp, a bookshelf and a lime wardrobe next to it. On the left, a kitchen could be seen. Luna let me sit on the sofa and I settled down on it. Then, she said, "I'll go grab some coffee" and rushed towards the kitchen. My eyes roamed around the house and admired its beauty. Luna really had a good taste of decoration. The house was neat and tidy, too. As I looked at the kitchen, Luna came out of it. She put her hair down which made her look more beautiful. She put a tray on the table. It had two cups of hot coffee and a small, rose plate with fish-shaped cookies in it. "Did you make these by yourself?" asked I. "Yes!", she smiled. We talked about each other's life while drinking coffee and eating cookies. "So..", said I while chewing the cookie, "Where are your parents?" Luna hesitated for a while. Tears came out of her face and she said that she was an orphan. Her parents died ever since she was a child and she had to experience childhood traumas. She had to take care of herself and she lived alone in the forest, with no parents nor friends. She cried and hugged me tightly while saying that. She did not realised that she was hugging me. And I did not want her to realise that. I hugged her back as she rested her head on my chest. We stayed in that position for a minute until she realised that her body was hugging mine. She quickly removed herself and said "Sorry" I whished that she hugged me like this everyday. "You don't need to say sorry, Luna!" I said, "I don't mind." Luna wiped her tears and tried to smile. We both decided to change the topic. Chapter 3 The sun was about to set. I told Luna that I had to go back to my castle. She was sad but understood. "Don't worry, Luna!" said I, trying to make her happy before leaving, "I promise I'll pay you a visit at least thrice a week." Her adorable face smiled as she said, "Really? Thank you so much!" To be honest, I did not want to visit her thrice a week. In fact, I wanted to visit her everyday to see her gorgeous face. However, I did not want to bother her. I rushed to my castle before the sun set. My body was on the way to castle while my mind was thinking about Luna. Her gorgeous face, adorable smile and her cute personality... 10 minutes later "What took you so long, Mr Handsome?" the voice entered my ears as I stepped inside the castle. I turned to the left and saw grandma. She was dressed in a simple yellow dress. There was a glass of strawberry milkshake with a cream on top. Some colourful sprinkles could be seen on the cream. "Oh, hey grandma!" I smiled, "I was in the forest of the neighbouring town." "Alright, I made you a milkshake." said grandma, "Drink this after you get fresh and change into your pyjamas." I took the glass from grandma and placed it on the table of my room. I went to the bathroom and did my business. I put on a navy T-shirt and black shorts. Then, I took the milkshake from the table and took a sip. It was delicious. "Do you like it?" a voice approached me from behind. It was my grandma. She was holding the knob of my door room. Then, she entered the room and sat beside me. "It's very delicious!" said I while hugging my grandma. She hugged me back. I told my grandma about everything that happened today while taking sips from milkshake. "Oh my!", her eyes became wide, "I need to tell this to your mom and prepare for your marriage." Grandma smirked. "Not now, grandma." I sighed, "We don't know each other well yet." "Alright, take your time " Grandma smirked again, "I might tell your mom sooner or later." After having a chit chat for a while, grandma left my room. She said goodnight to me and kissed my forehead. Then, she went to her room to sleep. I yawned and stared at the sky. It was full of tiny, glowing stars and a bright moon. The beautiful sky reminded me of Luna. Ugh...Why couldn't I stop thinking about her? I stared at the sky for a minute and fell asleep. __________________ It had been a day I hadn't seen Luna's beauty. So, I decided to pay her a visit. I told grandma and she asked me "When are you going to propose her?" "Perhaps, at the end of the week." said I, slowly while staring at the blue sky through the window. I took a quick shower, put on a baby blue T-shirt and jeans. I decided to visit her with a gift. My grandma baked a small chocolate cake and put it in a box. I said goodbye to my mum and grandma and left the castle. ___________________ I knocked on the door but Luna didn't answer. She was probably busy, I guessed. I was about to leave but she opened the door before I retreated to my castle. She was dressed in a baby blue gown. She wasn't wearing braces and her hair was in a ponytail. Her cyan eyes looked at my violet eyes and she smiled. "Hi!", said Luna with an excited voice, "Good to see you again." A smiled formed on my face as I saw her beautiful face again. I showed her a box of cake and told her that My grandma had made this small cake for you and me. She was so happy and thanked me. We walked inside her treehouse. Luna put them into a yellow plate and sliced them. We had a chit chat while eating the cake. My heart was pounding and I was a fool who was in love. I admit it. Just because I am a prince did not mean I must only fall in love with a girl from royal family. My grandma always supported me and did not care how my lover would look like. She was always on my side. So was my mum. I might be so lucky to get a royal family like this. However, my aunt Mary did not seem to be happy, which made me anxious. My grandma told me to not care about my aunt. And of course, why would I care? I ignored my aunt as much as I could. My uncle John and cousins, on the other hand, were always minding their own business. They lived in their own world and did not hop into others' business nor express their feelings and thoughts. I admired them for that. ________________ After finishing the cake, Luna asked me if I'd like to visit her favourite spot. I nodded and she wore her braces and prepared her bow and arrow in case something bad would happen. I waited for her to get ready and then we walked to her spot. Chapter 4 After walking in the forest for 10 minutes while talking. "We're here!", said Luna. We were in her favourite spot, a beautiful lake. The water was clear, surrounded by wet grasses and trees. There were some cute animals. The sky was clear and white clouds could be seen. The place was just awesome! Luna and I sat down next to the lake. She told me how she loved this place and spent her time. I listened to her while admiring her beauty. Luna, My Luna. I wanted to wake up next to her everyday... Giving her a morning kiss. Adoring her face. We talked with each other until the sun set. I said goodbye to Luna and rushed back to my castle before the sky got dark. _____________________ "How was your day?", a voice approached me from behind as I walked into the castle. It was my grandma. "Amazing, grandma." I said. She smiled and said "You should take a quick shower and put on pyjamas. It's almost 7 o'clock." I nodded my head and took a quick shower. I put on a navy pyjama and sat down on the dining table with my royal family. As always, my mother was out of town, grandma was making sure that everybody was eating well, my aunt was telling me why I should only marry a girl from a royal family. My uncle and cousins were eating their meals peacefully. I tried to ignore her as much as I could. Thankfully, I finished my dinner quickly so I rushed towards the kitchen. The torture that my aunt was giving me had ended. _________________ 2 days later "Hello, Luna!", I said while knocking at her door, "Are you home?" Luna opened the door. She was not smiling at all. Her face looked sick and sad, which made my heart hurt. "Oh...hey." said Luna, slowly. "What happened Luna?", asked I, "Am I bothering you?" Her cyan eyes looked at mine and said, "No, you always make me feel comfortable. It's just someone else." My blood boil as I heard that someone was bothering her and making her feel uneasy. I did not care wether that rat was he or she. "Who?", asked I, trying to hide my anger. "His name is...Leo." said Luna. She gave me some information about that guy and I said "I've got some business to handle. Take care, girl." When I walked out of her house, she waved at me and I waved her back. Luna gave me that rat's location. He lived in the town that was ruled by my mother, my hometown. I want to crack his skull and beat him to death! My inner self said as my blood was boiling. But I was a prince. I could not do that. I knocked on Leo's door. Luna mentioned that he always made her feel uneasy and flirt with her like a creep. He was kicked out of his hometown, which was the neighbouring town. Therefore, he came to my town and bought a home. Leo made girls in his previous hometown uneasy just like Luna and that was why he was kicked out. _____________________ I knocked on the door of Leo's house. The house was white and the door was brown. There were some windows and the roof was red. Someone opened the door. I assumed that it was Leo and I was right. "Prince?" Leo's face was shock. "I found out that you have been making girls feel uneasy.", said I,strictly "Is that true?" His body was shivering and his eyes were wide. He was scared. "Y- yes... I'm so- sorry." said Leo, shaky. "If you ever do that again, I will execute you!" I said harshly and he deserved it. He was lucky that I controlled my anger just for Luna. "Y- your highness.." Leo seemed scare. I knew that he wouldn't dare to make my Luna and other girls uneasy. I walked away without saying anything and went to Luna's place. Chapter 5 "Everything's fine, Luna!" I said, "That guy won't annoy you anymore." I was at Luna's house, sitting on a sofa and comforting her. "Really?", a smile formed on her face and she was happy to hear that. Luna and I were hanging out at her house and she made some donuts for me. It was delicious. She was a brave archer and I really love her. I wanted to propose her instantly but I thought it would be too quick. Days by days, I catched up with Luna and hanged out with her. Everything was fun until the day I could not hide my feelings anymore. _______________ 1 week later "This place is beautiful!", said Luna while pointing at the lake. We were in her favourite place. It was around 3pm. The atmosphere was clean. Trees and bushes were swaying and the animals were playing around the lake. "It is!", I replied. In a moment of silence, Luna was staring at the lake while I was standing behind her. It was the time! I could not hide my feelings anymore. I wanted to kiss her and propose. I tip toed towards Luna and hugged her waist from behind. Then, I rested my head on her left shoulder. "L- Lance?", her cyan eyes were wide as she reacted shaky. She was too stunned to speak so, she decided to be quiet. "I love you, Luna." Finally, I proposed. My voice was quiet that she enjoyed the moment and turned her body to me. "I love you so much that ever since I met you, I could not hide my feelings. I want you to be my life partner. I want to wake up next to you everyday... I want you to rest your hand on my chest and hug me tightly. I really love you, Luna." Luna blushed and finally decided to speak. "I- I love you too, L- Lance. But- I was scared to propose because you are a prince." I hugged her tightly and pat her back. Luna rested her head on my chest and hugged me back. It was very comfortable and awesome. After a few second, Luna removed her head from my chest and she kissed me. Her lips touched mine and I could smell her soft breathe. It was amazing. We closed our eyes and stayed in that position for a minute. "Will you marry me?", I asked Luna without any hesitation. "We are too young", replied Luna, "Maybe... I shall meet your family and discuss about it." I like it when Luna acted like an adult because of her independence. She was perfect for me, or maybe more than perfect. "Sure!" said I. Luna and I went to her house and I waited on the sofa for her to prepare. A few minutes later "I'm ready!", a voice approached me from behind. It was Luna. She was dressed in silver ball gown. Her hair was down and covered the sides of her face. She was wearing some silver necklace and a flower-shaped ring. Damn, she was gorgeous. I quickly realised that I was staring at her like a creep. Therefore, I quickly removed my eyes from her and said, "Awesome!" Luna blushed and a smile formed on hed face. "Let's go.", said Luna while chuckling. _______________ "Oh my god! You're so pretty.", said my mom to Luna. Luna and I were in my castle with my mum, grandma and my aunt's family. Luna was acting shy in front of my mother and grandma. "Thank you!" said Luna. I was so lucky that my mother did not mind about my relationship with Luna but my aunt did. She was rolling her eyes all the time, which made Luna upset. My grandma told Luna to ignore my aunt and Luna tried her best to ignore. It was time for dinner. Everyone settled down at the dining table and started eating their meals. Mum and grandma were complimenting Luna and my future wife, Luna was shy. My aunt was grumpy while my uncle and cousins were eating their meal in peace. Grandma offered Luna for a sleepover at our castle and she accepted it. I thought that everybody was going to sleep together in living room that night but no. They planned to sleep separately. "Luna may sleep at Lance's room and I'm clear with my words." said my mum while smirking. And of course, my grandma also smirked. My aunt had enough so she walked to her room without saying a single word. My uncle and cousins went to their rooms after saying goodnight to us. Grandma, mum, Luna and I were left at the dining table. Mum and grandma left the dining table with a smirk and only Luna and I were left. "So," said I, "Shall we go to my room?" Luna blushed and said yes. After a couple of minutes Luna was sitting formally on the sofa of my room. She was dressed in one of my pyjamas that I lent her for a night. I came out of the bathroom. I was dressed in grey pants with topless. I walked towards Luna and hold her cheek with my hand. Then, I kissed her on the forehead. Luna stood up and hugged my neck and closed her eyes. She then kissed me on my lips and we enjoyed the moment together. My room was silent and I could hear her soft breathe. She could also hear mine. Both Luna and I hated bottom so we did not do IT. After kissing each other multiple times, we rested our bodies on my bed. The time was around 10 o'clock and Luna rested her head on my abs. She then smiled and fell asleep. I kissed her on the forehead and slept with her. Chapter 6 "Good morning!", a soft voice entered my ears. I opened my eyes and saw Luna lying next to me. It felt very comfortable to sleep with Luna for the first time. "Good morning, babe!", said I. Yup, I called her babe and I meant it. Luna blushed and was muted. I quickly kissed her on cheek before she could say anything. "I love you, babe!", said I. Luna blushed again and finally smiled and spoke, "I love you too, babe." and rested her hand on my chest. The way she called me babe made my heart skip a beat. "I had a conversation with your mother. She said that she will arrange our marriage in next 4 years." A big smile formed on my face after hearing that. Luna would be my future wife! I could not control myself. It was like a dream come true. "But she also told me to watch out for your aunt." said Luna. "It is ok", I hugged her. At 11 o'clock "Maybe I should go home now.", said Luna while walking down the stairs. Oh sh!t... my aunt was behind her with an evil smile. She pushed Luna off the stairs. Crap! Luckily, I was standing down the stairs so Luna landed on my body and she fainted. Thankfully, there were no injuries and everyone saw what my aunt did. Luna was unconscious so I carried her to my room and took care of her. After a couple of seconds, everyone came to my room, including my aunt with a guilty face. "You are kicked out of the castle, sister!", said my mum with a bursting voice. "W- wait...please, n- no!", said my aunt. Mum was kind enough to buy a house for her near the castle. My aunt felt guilty and apologized to everyone and left the house with tears on her face. Everyone, including me and Luna, forgave her. By the way, I forgot to mention why my grandma passed down her power to mum but not aunt. My aunt was a greedy, mean and jealous person ever since she was young. While my mum was completely opposite. She was kind, gentle and friendly. My grandma had predicted the future of our town if my aunt was a queen. I would not say that, I guess. To be honest, I feel sorry for aunt for being kicked out but at the same time, she deserved it. My uncle and cousins were muted yet their faces were obvious that they were sad. 1 hour later "Wh- where am I?", asked Luna while opening her eyes. "You woke up finally!", I said while roaming my eyes around her gorgeous face. I told her everything and Luna felt sad. She blamed herself that if she was not there, my aunt would not do that and she would not be kicked out of the castle. I tried to comfort her and tried to tell her that my aunt was responsible for what she had done. Eventually, Luna accepted and we hugged each other very tightly. Chapter 7 "I'm so excited for tomorrow!", said Luna while blushing. "It is almost 9pm, Luna." said my grandma with a soft voice, "You better go to bed right now. Tomorrow is your big day." I had been in relationship with Luna for four years. Days by days, our love got stronger and stronger. We never had a single argument. We kissed each other everyday and usually spent time at her place. Our relationship was very powerful that there were no obstacles in our way. Luna had turned 22 years old while I was 23. Our wedding was being held the very next day. Luna rested her hand on my chest and we settled down on my bed. We hugged each other and gradually fell asleep. The next day, at the wedding "Don't cry, Luna.", said my mum, "Tears will ruin your beautiful face." I was sitting in the hall. My uncle and cousins were standing around me. Behind us, there was a huge wall, which was decorated with colourful flowers. Luna weds Lance was written on the wall. It was like we were on the stage. The sky was blue and glowing clouds and a shiny sun could be seen. The wedding was taking place outside the castle, in a very large garden, enough space for 20 000 people. In front of us, there were numerous citizens. Everyone was cheering us. Every single citizen was invited. Luna was dressed in a white ball gown of a bride and some silver heels. Her hair was down and there were some silver accessories in her hands and a heart-shaped necklace was wore by her. My eyes roamed around her as I admired her beauty. I was dressed in white dress of a bridegroom and my hair was slicked back. Luna and I stood next to each other and hold our hands tightly. My grandma, mum, uncle, cousins and my aunt were clapping. Speaking of my aunt, she was also invited and she admitted her mistakes and promised that she'd never do that again with a voice of truth and regrets. All the citizens were cheering us and enjoying their meals. After the mealtime, Luna and I hugged each other in front of everyone. Later, a dance party took place in our wedding. That was the best moments in my life. I was so lucky to meet Luna. I always used to imagine how my empty life would have been if I did not explore that jungle four years ago. That was just miracle. I really love Luna and I could not go a day without seeing her beauty.
