The return of Tony’s wingfrom England in August created a great sense of excitement throughout the college, and I couldn’t wait to have him hold me in his arms again and shower me with his kisses.Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. This feeling also prevailedamong many of the girls on my floor and I’m sure,by many of the local females, as previous relationships would be renewed, and new ones begun. It was definitely a ‘fanciful period’ for Plattsburgh’s young, female population.
I was staying at my older brother’s house during the summer break, and couldn’t wait to see Tony, who left England with a bottle of scotch for my brother, Henry, a lineman for the local telephone company, and a bottle of champagne, to be shared by Tony and I.
