We arrived in Plattsburgh in the early afternoon and after we had lunch, Tony drove me to my dorm. I asked Tony if he had received a letter from Hudson Valley?
“Not before I left,”he replied, “but I’ll call home tomorrow, to see if they received anything. If I’m accepted and I know what the cost will be, I’ll have to find a VA office, to apply for the GI Bill benefit.”
“Is there an office here in Plattsburgh,”I asked.
“I don’t know, but there must be one somewhere in the area,”Tony replied. “I’ll find out.”
As the summer wound down our days of leisure, beaches, and the gathering of family and friends was rapidly coming to an end.
