Empty Thoughts

Dillan's eyes were staring straight through me. My whole body buzzed from his hand on my neck. Not one thought entered my mind apart from the uncontrollable urge to smash my mouth into his. The scent of his breath was making me light headed. He stood, guiding me to stand as well. I knew basically nothing about this man. There was no reason I should be sitting here, ready to give myself to him completely. His words put me in a trance, though. "I want you," echoing in my mind, nothing else mattered in that moment. Slowly, he leaned closer. Electricity surged through me as his lips touched mine. My body became hungry for more, and I pressed further into him. His hand tugged at my hair, forcing my head back as his lips trailed down my neck. Oh the ecstasy! Shivers ran down my spine. His lips found their way back to mine as my hands began exploring his body. The muscles on his arms were slightly clenched from holding me and I realized just how hard they were. My hands didn't even fit halfway around them. My fingers traced up his arms, across his chest, and down his stomach just above his pants. Was this man made of rock!? Not one part of his body wasn't bulging with muscles. One hand still holding my hair, his other one trailed down my back. I arched my body up as he pulled me closer to him. My breasts pressed into his chest, making me want him even more. Our bodies so close, I could feel that his muscles weren't the only things bulging. I wanted to rip his clothes off right here. Suddenly, the sound of someone clearing their throat behind me. I quickly pushed Dillan off of me and turned to see Jerry. Crap. His expression was one of disappointment. "Could I talk to you for a moment, Millie?" he glared over my shoulder at Dillan as I shook my head yes. He led me back to his office and I felt like I was about to get a lecture. "I'm so sorry about that, Jerry. I don't know where my head is at. It was very unprofessional, and will never happen again." "I'm not sure what is going on with you today, but I can't have you making customers uncomfortable with public displays of affection. Especially ones so.. aggressive." He seemed like he would rather be doing anything other than having this conversation with me. I definitely understood that. "I know, and again I'm so sorry." "I also wanted to see if you knew what was wrong with Jordan today? I tried talking to him but he didn't want to open up about it. I'm worried about his behavior this morning. He seemed depressed." I didn't know how to explain what happened between us without disappointing him further. Kissing Jordan last night, and Dillan this morning was wrong on my part. My stomach sank thinking about it. Jerry was kind, and I always want to do what would make him proud. I knew my actions would bring a frown to his face. "I don't know what's wrong with him." I lied. "I will talk to him tonight and get to the bottom of it. I'm worried about him too." The last part wasn't a lie. I hated seeing him so defeated. "Thank you. I'm glad you guys are becoming friends. I knew from the moment I met him you would like each other." Jerry smiled at me as he said this, but it quickly disappeared. "So who is your new.. friend?" My face got hot and I looked down at my hands. I knew he wouldn't let it go that easily. "His name is Dillan." "Dillan.. hmm." He was lost in thought for a moment. "Just be careful, Millie. I don't want to see you get your heart broken." "Don't worry, Jer. I don't plan on falling in love or anything." I chuckled at the thought. Dillan didn't seem like the type of guy I could see myself with anyway. I was sure it was just a physical attraction, but the pull to him was so strong. "Nobody ever does." He said. "I'll see you tomorrow. Get to class before you're late." His voice was more stern. I nodded vigorously and left his office. Dillan was leaning against the wall by the front door waiting for me. One side of his mouth pulled up when he saw me and my face began to burn. I still couldn't believe I had given into my body's desire so easily. "Can I walk you to class?" He asked. "Um.. yeah. I guess we still need to talk anyway. We didn't really get too far into our conversation earlier.." I felt as if I could spontaneously combust from the heat in my face. It was probably glowing red at this point. He chuckled as he held the door for me. "So what exactly is it you needed to talk to me about?" His hand reached for mine as we walked, so I pretended not to notice and ran my fingers through my hair instead. Physical contact would lead me right back into his arms and I needed to get this over with. "Yesterday when we were discussing my book, what exactly did you mean? You said sometimes it's just as easy as in the novels.. did you have any specific thought with that?" I was trying to ask if he was talking about us without actually saying it. "I think you know what I meant. I'm not the only one who feels the connection here. I know you feel it too." He stopped walking as we reached the fountain. Turning to face me, he said "I'd love to explore more of you. How about dinner tonight?" My heart did a flip in my chest as I realized what he meant by that. "I.. well I.. um.. sure." Smooth, Millie. Smooth. I'm supposed to be telling him we should just be friends, instead I agreed to a date. What is wrong with me!? "I'll swing by to pick you up at 8 then." A wide grin spread across his face as he leaned over, putting his lips to my ear. "I can't wait for desert." My entire body quivered with desire. He moved back just enough to look at me. His bright blue eyes examined my face for a moment before he kissed me again. Just like before, my mind was suddenly empty and my body curved into his. This time was even more aggressive than earlier. My hands slid through his soft hair as his caressed my body. With one hand on the small of my back, the other one slowly lifted my shirt just enough to gently run across the line of my pants. Feeling me shiver under his touch, I felt his mouth pull up into a smile as he moved down to my neck. Biting and sucking just above my collar bone, his hand was dangerously close to entering my pants. Just as he began sliding his hand down, he suddenly stopped and pulled away from me. We stared at each other, out of breath. My face began burning, and I had to look away from him before I lost control again. This man was going to be a difficult one. "Let's get you to class, you're going to be late." He grinned as he held his hand out for mine. Reluctantly, I took it.
