Changes
Each of us seems to be rushing to adulthood, but I wanted it much more than anyone else. Well, my parents are well off, which largely influenced how they raised me, and above all, how high they set the bar for my life achievements. From childhood, I was required to attend various extracurricular activities, training camps and other such things. There were many responsibilities, and unfortunately very little time, so I never had too much time for myself. Each hour of my life was allocated to something in advance and I was meticulously accounted for for it.
I think that the only reason for their over-zealousness was my brother, Rafał, who is 4 years older than me. Well, from an early age he started a rebellion against the strict upbringing of his parents. The quarrels he caused became the order of the day in our home. The more restrictions were imposed on him, the more he was motivated to show his parents how much they do not concern him. I admired his courage, faith in his beliefs and perseverance. I admired and admired to this day. Anyway, for as long as I can remember, I have been finding support and understanding in his person. He spoke the words I was afraid to say, he fought for my interests at a time when I was too weak to fight. He was my ideal and role model.
Well, but back to my parents. They were able to interfere in my life to such an extent that I was even told with whom I had the right to be friends and with whom I definitely avoid any contact. Fortunately, in junior high school, I found my soul mate in the daughter of one of our friends. We understood each other without words, and after the time spent together, my smile did not leave my mouth. Daria wasn't just another boring snob, but a crazy, optimistic green-eyed girl with shoulder-length chestnut hair and a dark-white complexion. After some time, I also started dating my first boyfriend, Artur. It happened a bit under pressure from his parents, who considered him an ideal candidate. I understood them, after all, he was very well-organized and had a lot of prospects for the future and, most importantly, he came from a wealthy family. Only my brother was against this relationship, he kept telling me that he was a selfish snob who wasn't worth even a single look at me. He was indeed a bit haughty and cocky, but he could hardly be blamed for that. I was well aware that he had brought such behavior from home.
I was 17 when this whole twisted love story began. In fact, it was like this: July, a warm Friday evening. With Daria, we have been planning this night for a long time. It was going to be something big, unique and totally new. For the first time in our lives we were supposed to go to a real disco. Even now it is difficult for me to describe how great our excitement was. We planned every smallest detail well in advance of the time. We even went shopping with this special night in mind. Unlike Dari, who had a completely different temperament, I chose a rather modest outfit, I didn't want to be visible. The mere thought of someone recognizing us made me dizzy. Well, I wisely put on a white blouse ¾ and a red flared skirt. Plus black high heels, nude tights and a black purse decorated with studs. A mutual friend of ours, who was a specialist in this field, took care of make-up and hairstyle. Of course, it was not without a small fee, but to tell the truth, what is free these days
-I don't know if it's a good idea. - I announced when I stood fully ready in front of the mirror. The girl on the other side of the glass was completely different from me. Her long blonde hair was pulled up perfectly in a pretty bun. Colored contact lenses and smokey makeup accentuated her blue eyes, and her red lips looked large and passionate. The skin looked perfect after the treatments and cosmetics that were applied to it. It wasn't me, but a complete stranger to me.
- Magnificent! We spent a lot of time and energy trying to look what we look like, so put aside our common sense and any uncertainty, we go out. - Daria was consistent in pursuing the goals she set for herself. She did not avoid challenges, on the contrary, she craved adrenaline.
-And if we don't like it? - I still wasn't convinced, the uncertainty was eating me up from the inside.
-Then we'll go home. Don't worry too much, wear shoes. She announced sending me an impatient look.
-All right, okay. - I replied putting cute high heels on my feet.
It may be lovely, but take my word for it, it's terribly uncomfortable. Fortunately, a taxi was waiting for us in front of the house, which took us straight to the "Everything for People" club. It had a good reputation in the city, and more importantly it was located a long distance from our homes, so we were sure that in such climates no friend of our parents would be around, who could maliciously convey to them that their children were poorly brought up and spoiled for life. bone marrow visiting clubs at night instead of sitting at home with a lamp and books. Inside it was excruciatingly loud, confused, we sat down at the bar with Daria and ordered a beer. In retrospect, it seems to me that it was immediately noticeable that this is our first time. We looked around, every now and then returning to each other with our eyes and exchanging smiles. Watching with horror our peers who danced in a defiant way, almost half naked on the dance floor. Our innocent attitude also clearly aroused interest because we did not have to wait long for two guys to join us, a bit older than us at first glance.
-Maybe a girl's drink? One of them asked, and without even waiting for our answer, he ordered two.
-That's nice, but thank you. - I replied politely as the bartender handed us the order.
-I also. - Daria followed me in solidarity.
-Do not be embarrassed. It's my treat.
-We are not interested. You can let it go. - I replied without beating the bush.
-Girls, don't be so stiff. The visitor clearly wasn't going to give up.
-Boys listen, don't be so pushy. - Daria asked. One of them rolled his eyes and walked away with thinned expressions, going on further hunting. It seems to me that we both breathed a sigh of relief and continued to observe the situation calmly, trying to feel the atmosphere of this place.
-Hey Emilka! Look there. Daria leaned towards me and gestured towards the group of boys. I swallowed loudly, I knew them well. They visited us many times, because they were good friends of Rafał. Friends and the nightmares of parents, the reasons for a thousand quarrels. These apparently ordinary boys did not know any limitations, they did not care about the good opinion of other people, they did not care about the consequences of their actions. To the type of "bad boys", I would not bother with them anymore if not for the fact that the whole group of them was watching us closely. After a long war on gazes, two of them started walking towards us. 'They want to order a beer is it all', I kept repeating to myself to calm my nerves. I quietly hoped that neither of them would recognize me, otherwise the information about my whereabouts that Friday night would have reached my brother immediately. The first one was the blond man with a noise on his head and blue eyes. He whispered a few words in Daria's ear and that was enough for her to disappear on the dance floor. For a moment, I was even overcome with anger that she needed so little to leave me speechless. The second of them took her place next to me. The scent of men's perfume, his captivating smile and the huge brown eyes staring directly at me completely puzzled me. When I realized that I was staring at him as intensely as he was in me, I looked down immediately, embarrassed and embarrassed.
-Come on, don't be ashamed of me. His whisper rang in my ear. In fact, I was well aware of who the person next to him was. His name was Alex, he was hard not to remember. He was the object of the sighs of not one of the girls, which is why he is not surprised at all. His beauty even intimidated me. I often had the opportunity to look at him from the side because we attended one school.
`` f**k you. '' I growled and ordered myself a vodka and cola to ease things up. Alex was clearly amused by my behavior, but ignoring him completely, I clung to my drink, greedily pouring it into myself. I ordered a second immediately.
-Your brother wouldn't believe it if I visited him about what I see now. - I felt chills all over my body, it was very loud in the club, so when he was saying something in my direction I could feel his breath on my neck. I looked at him.
-He doesn't need to know.
-And I think he should.
-I don't care about your opinion.
-Cool baby, come on the dance floor. Movement is advisable with such amounts of alcohol. Without waiting for my reply, he took my drink out of my hand's reach, then grabbed my wrist and pulled me gently against him. I looked into his eyes ashamed.
-Okay. - I replied immediately to end this embarrassing moment for me as soon as possible. Fortunately, Alex was a good dancer and I quickly managed to get into the rhythm of the music and I have to admit that I even had a lot of fun doing it. However, after a dozen or so songs, my partner was kidn*pped by one of the "bad boys".
-Be careful for yourself until later. - He just gave me a goodbye in a hurry, winking at me and disappeared into the crowd. When I caught a moment of breath, I realized how tired I was, and maybe not even me, but my feet, which were screaming for help. I went back to the bar to breathe a moment and ordered a drink with ice, soothing the thirst that was terribly bothering me. Daria was still having fun, the smile on her face did not leave even for a moment, it was nice to look at it. Not wanting to disturb her, I went outside to breathe a little. However, what I saw there baffled me completely. My old friend Tom was standing in front of the pub, and the hand of that handsome man with whom I was dancing a few minutes ago was clasped around his neck. The boy released Tom and hit him so hard that he fell to the ground. I looked around quickly, there were a lot of people around. "Why is nobody reacting ?!" There was an echo in my head.
-Leave him! I screamed as loud as I could, running towards them. My friend's torturer looked at me and raised a questioning eyebrow. Tom got to his feet, but immediately got hit again and landed on the ground again.
-Leave him the hell! - I repeated myself kneeling next to Tomek.
-All good? I started stroking his head tenderly. Blood was leaking from his nose.
-Can you stay away? - Threw his tormentor with great resentment. In an instant, something broke inside me, I felt the warmth spread throughout my body, carrying a wave of anger and anger with it. Today I know that it was alcoholic beverages that made all my internal brakes let go.
-No I can not! If you need to self-esteem, I can pay you a few visits to a psychologist to learn how to deal with it. So far, I'm not going to sit quietly like all those fools around and watch you hurt my friend. Piss off okay ?! - I growled towards him, trying to tongue a little voice in my head, which told me that feeling fear in this situation is absolutely necessary. After all, the person I was referring to was one of the unpredictable people. Two of his colleagues laughed under their breaths, and he clenched his fists so tightly that all the veins in his arms became visible. His jaw began twitching nervously.
Emila! - Daria shouted, following me from the club for a moment with the blonde by the hand.
-Tell your friend to get out of my way. Alex hissed as Daria stepped closer. I was convinced that she would ignore him and support my attitude. Unfortunately, I was disappointed, she grabbed my hand making a terrified face. Coward, she was as cowardly as everyone else. Even more angry, I broke free from her and walked over to him so that our bodies were only millimeters apart.
-Don't think that you are allowed to do anything. You can't even deal with a girl by yourself? I whispered, my heart nearly popping out of my chest.
-No kidding, stop provoking him! - The blond man commanded irritated.
-No! - I was surprised how much firmness and determination was in my voice. Alex, without thinking for a moment, gave me a little push, and I immediately fell to the ground. All because of these shoes I thought as soon as my ass felt a painful blow. Without thinking, I took them off, soothing my tired feet, and threw them as hard as I could for Alex.
-This is not fun, will you f*****g understand it? -The blonde tried to speak to my mind mmi. I don't blame him, I figured after Alex looked that he was going to mess me up in a few seconds. However, I did not decide to give him up, I made my way.
-You're a f*****g asshole! - I shouted taking the phone out of my purse. He froze in place, closely watching my actions. I dialed 997 and pressed the green receiver button.
-Good evening. My name is Emila Król, I would like a police car to take to the streets ..- And at that moment I just felt a hand close my mouth.
-Calm down. Alex whispered softly. - Hang up Emily, tell me it's a false alarm. I left him, please don't make anything out of nothing, ”He whispered softly.
-Hello, are you there? - I heard a concerned voice on the other side of the receiver.
-Yes I am, you know what? However, there is no need for the police. The situation calmed down. Thank you for your trouble, good night. I quit and hung up immediately.
-You're unbearable. - Announced the angry rising back to a standing position, I was still sitting on the ground, proud as a peacock.
-At least I don't walk like a ticking bomb! - I kicked back.
"Put your shoes on," he ordered, handing me high heels.
-I'm not going to, they are terribly uncomfortable. - I muttered getting up. - After all, if I liked them, it would be a pity for me to put them in danger because of a moron like you. Satisfied, I winked at him while he glared at me. Tom, who had already got to his feet and was stopping the leaking blood.
-Tomcie, are you okay? - I asked, carefully taking handkerchiefs out of my purse.
-Yes alright. He just mumbled, his eyes grateful.
- I'll call a cab, huh? - I offered, I wanted him to get home safely.
-I'm a car, you don't have to.
-You're kidding, you won't go in this condition! - I protested.
-I am here with a friend, he is the driver. Don't worry .. - He explained.
-Okay, then go away. Call me when you are at home, drive carefully - I replied smiling broadly at him, trying to cheer him up with this gesture. He left without a word, stunned by what was happening around him.
-Are you satisfied with yourself? Alex hissed. If he could, he would probably go out of his way and stand next to him.
-If you absolutely must know, that's how I am. - I replied truthfully.
-Come on, old man, take it easy, the girl has a sharp character and that's good. - A short, green-eyed brunet chimed in with a warm smile on his lips. He was also part of their group, but so far he had only been watching the incident passively.
-I would temper that character a little. - He announced definitely more gently.
-And the same. - I started to tease, he smiled as if he understood the good intentions.
-Emilio, I promise you that you will learn a lesson for your behavior today. The sentence didn't sound like a threat in his mouth, but rather a promise.
-Something I will have to ask for this lesson. "I don't think I started flirting with him on purpose."
-Don't worry, I'll just check if you're sober as well.
-Mhm. - I muttered. "We're going home, I'm exhausted and completely drunk." I headed to Daria, nodded nervously, and called a cab.
Until her arrival, I constantly felt the eyes of the boys on me, and Daria, apparently, too, because she only spoke when we got in.
-Emilka, you are completely crazy. She announced excitedly.
-Daria was our friend once, why didn't you support me? - I asked reproachfully.
-I was shocked, anyway Alex is not a person to be opposed, you know that! She tried to find some reasonable argument to justify herself.
-I don't care who he is. It is by turning a blind eye like this that he thinks he can do anything.
-No one wants to have problems.
"What is it you left me so suddenly without a word?" You didn't know this boy at all! Suddenly I was clinging to the tond out of nowhere.
-You see it not quite like that.
- Then explain it to me.
-I didn't tell you about it before because I knew you were going to criticize me. This stranger is David, we've been writing for a month, in the meantime we met twice.
-You're kidding right? Her words hurt me terribly. I couldn't believe it, my best friend didn't keep me up to date on such important things as my heart.
-Not. I was afraid that you would dissuade me from meeting him, and I would agree with you because it would probably be the right thing to do.
-Daria, you are my friend. I will support you in every decision, even if I believe that it is not a good one. I do not impose restrictions on you, I am not your mother, I care about your happiness. Who do you think i am? I didn't even hide the resentment in my voice.
-Excuse me. I really was going to tell you about it, don't be angry.
-You're lucky I can't. Although in this situation, I would love to.
-You are loved. And incredibly brave! - She hugged me tightly.
