The Alpha’s Wife Wants Revenge

Laura’s POV I look at my reflection from the car window, making sure there’s no strands of hair in the way. Matthew, my fiancé invited me to have hi-tea. And it seems some of the guests has arrived. For today's occasion, I went to the saloon and gave myself a makeover. Since it’s a formal event, I decided to wear a beige sheath dress that lightly skims over my curve and falls to the floor in line with my hips. It’s perfect for someone with an hourglass body shape like mine. As for my hair, I usually tie it up in a high ponytail or do a half-up, but today, I decided to let my wavy brown hair down. Matthew often says that he likes it when my hair is down because it shows how feminine I look. And I must follow what my future husband says. After ensuring I looked presentable, I decided to walk into the Moon Pack foyer and meet my future in-law, Mr. Wilson. “Hello.” I greeted my future in-law. “Laura! You made it.” I waved my hands at Matthew when he descended the stairs before kissing me on the lips. Since when did Matthew wear a lipgloss? “How have you been feeling? I heard what happened from my father.” Matthew sighed. “I’m okay. But there’s nothing I can do.” I feel sorry for Matthew. From what my father had told, Matthew had lost the alpha seat to his long lost uncle. Mr. Wilson has been trying to confront his father about this matter but so far it doesn’t seems to be any news yet. I wrapped my arms around Matthew’s and tells him words of comfort. I know for sure that he’s devastated by the news because Matthew has been preparing himself to take over the alpha position from his grandfather. “Thank you for being here, Laura. I don’t know who else to go to. I feel like my world is caving in. You’re the only one who listen to my worries.” I smiled. We spend time together while enjoying our tea before he has to go somewhere with his father. “Laura, it’s been so long. How are you?” I was surprised to see a few of my old classmate from the academy also attending the hi tea. “I’m great. Come, sit down. Join me. Matthew has somwhere to go with his father. Thank the goddess you’re all here.” The girls look at each other before one of them grabbed my hand. “Oh honey, you’re as clueless as blues clues. Laura, there’s something I need to say to you. But please don’t think badly of us, okay? After all, we’re all friends here.” I beginning to think that there’s something wrong. “What is it?” The girls look at each other before they told me that they saw how Matthew and his stepmother seems close and they doesn’t seems to share the mother and son relationship. At first I laughed it off but there were signs that indicate such concerns of mine too. I smiled at my friends and thank them for telling me. I know they’re just worried about me. After spending some time with my friends, I decided to look for Matthew. I’m planning to confront him about all the rumours I heard about him. I know he’s worried about his position but I just need fo make sure my concerns mean nothing. And I hope my confrontation would clear Matthew’s name. Before I could knock on his door, I heard sounds coming from the empty guest room. As a dignified lady, I was taught not to be so shameless, but my guts told me otherwise. It seemed like my legs had a mind of its own, and I couldn't help but look for the owner of those voices. “f**k, mommy. Yeah, you like that, do you?” I froze when I heard a familiar voice coming from the room. I didn’t want to believe it until I saw Matthew giving a hard thrust to a woman from the back. When that woman arched her back to provide Matthew with a kiss, I placed a hand to cover my mouth. “Oh baby, mommy likes it very much. Make it harder, so Mommy loves you more.” My heart dropped when I saw my fiancé screwing his young stepmother. How did this happen? Have I ever neglected Matthew’s needs? Why would he cheat on me with his stepmother?! And that woman- isn’t she married to Mr. Wilson?! I stood there as my fiancé finished inside his stepmother before they continued to copulate again, this time in a different position. I want to confront them, but I’m scared. I want to leave, but my legs are too heavy to lift. What am I supposed to do? How could Matthew even thinking of doing something so disgusting?! I thought we had something special. I have been there for him since the beginning, and I have never thought of betraying him for another man. What have I done wrong?! No- it’s not my fault. What’s the point of crying for someone who betrayed your trust. I wipe the tears from my cheek before kicking the door open with my foot. “Matthew!” Both Matthew and Gina, were shocked to see me standing by the door. I couldn’t hold my tears any longer when I saw them together as if they have been together for years! Even Matthew wasn’t as tentative when he was with me! “Laura- I can explain. Gina was the one who seduce me!” I- I am speechless. “Gina?” My voice cracked. “So you two are on first name basis?!” Matthew didn’t say anything as he covered himself with a pillow while Gina doesn’t seems to care that she is bucked n***d in front of me. “No- honey, please. That’s not what I mean. We were just- I was-“ Just as I thought. “You really can’t blame me can you? You can only blame yourself.” Matthew sighed. No words could describe my feelings right now. It feels like someone just force themselves inside my chest and grabbed onto my heart before pulling it out leaving me hollow. “I’m- I’m sorry.” Sorry? That’s it? “You broke my heart and the only thing you can say is sorry? Is this a game for you?” Matthew aggressively rubbed his head and said, “I don’t know what I’m supposed to do. You were always busy. It wasn’t meant to go this far. I swear.” That’s it? Is that what it takes to make it all better? This man broke my heart into tiny bits of pieces and he just sat there didn’t even try to pick it up and reattach it himself. My knees give out and I just slumped on the floor, sobbing my heart out at the fact that my fiancé cheats. “Please tell me that- when you said you love me, it was real.” I muttered while keeping my head low. “It was real the first time. But nowadays, your drifting away from me, Laura. But do we have a choice? We have to get married because of our parents. So let’s just forget what you saw and let’s continue our relationship, okay?” I pushed Matthew away when he tried to help me off the floor. I finally broke down and filled the room with the sound of my ugly, painful cry. “Get away from me.” I feel dull inside. It’s impossible for me to continue this relationship knowing he’s screwing his stepmother. Everything was a lie. This relationship was a lie. The moments we shared together in the cafe, brushing off bread crumbs from our cheeks was all a lie! Then, went Matthew brought me to our favourite spot, we spent our night together admiring the night sky while whispering lovely words and discussing our future together was all an act! He was able to say such things while he’s sleeping with that woman! “Laura, don’t act this way. We have our own responsibility. It doesn’t matter if I slept with as many woman as I want. It’s natural.” I finally look up to Matthew with my tears down my cheek and ruined make up. “You made me hate love more than anything. How did you do that?” I screamed b****y murder at him before grabbing my chest as if I’m trying to pull my own heart out. I feel like the only thing I can do now is wail as loud as I can until I feel better. In the end, I’m not the woman he fell in love with. I’m just a piece of his unwanted memories. “Laura-“ “I trusted you- with everything. And you throw me away like a piece of rag. Do our moments together doesn’t mean anything to you, Matthew?” I have to know. Even if it hurts me, I need to know. With pursed lips, Matthew shrugged his shoulder and said, “It meant something before but now it’s nothing. I just want to make our parents happy. I’m-“ I threw the engagement ring that was given to me at him as hard as I could. With what strength I have left, I got up and leave Matthew in that room without saying anything.
