Into the Woods

In the heart of Transylvania, in a small city surrounded by mountains, a long chaotic battle took place between all magical creatures and humans. After centuries of blood shed, pace is finally installed. Now, there is a small mundane community, and everything magical is deep into the woods. The humans have won, but the fear still resides. No one dares to go into the woods. Or, alt least, no one did till now. A little blonde girl, with big chocolate eyes stays at the edge of the forest, she closes her eyes and listens to the whispers from within. Her mother never understood what she could possibly hear, there were no sounds, no words that could be heard. But she, she was special indeed. She heard the words spoken by trees and wind whispers through leaves. The language that the forest spoke was one only she could understand. She tried to get closer, so she could hear more, but she knew it wasn't allowed. She did not yet know why, her mother would not tell her. She didn't want to upset her mother, but her legs had a mind of their own, she found herself walking to the forest, still listening to all the beautiful sounds from it. She was so close, she could smell the wet leaves, she felt like she could talk back to the wind. As she looked closer she encountered a pair of hazel eyes, starring at her... She had no time to scream, her mother looked for her. "Hera! here you are. I've been worried sick! You know you are not allowed this close to the forest." " I am sorry, mommy." she looked back into the forest but the eyes were already gone. " Let's go and clean you up. How did you manage to stain a strain of hair so perfectly green ? "
