“Get up, Aahana; you are already late.” The tanned man shook the girl who groaned as she rubbed her eyes. “It is already 8:50.”; The man said as the girl suddenly got up in shock and looked at the clock. She looked pissed when she looked at the time, it was still 6:15. “What the f**k Aarav?”; She sighed as she combed her hair back as he chuckled at her. “Come on, take a bath. I will make some breakfast.”; Aarav said as he walked out of her room. She laid down again and covered her face with the blanket. “DON’T YOU DARE GO BACK TO SLEEP AGAIN!!” Aahana sat up again as she looked around. “Does he have a hidden camera installed here.”; She murmured before getting off the bed and in the bathroom to freshen up. Aarav who was making breakfast starting setting up the table as well before the Aahana’s heels caught his eyes. He frowned seeing them in the backyard, if he is not wrong, she likes these heels so, why in the hell are they in the back yard. He made some stuffed parathas and served them with butter, pickle and some hot chai. As soon as he was done Aahana came out she wore a long shirt with shorts. She still has an hour before she has to go to work.  “So, who was he?”; Aahana whispered, looking at him with wiggling eyebrows. “One night stand, and he is gone so, you don’t have to whisper.”; He answered as he sat down and gestured her to take a seat. “But that is not important. What was the annoyance that caught you up, last night.?”; He continued as she took a bite of the paratha coated with butter and took a big sip of chai. She sighed in contentment; her brother’s food is the best. “Well…”; She told him everything as he nodded at her. “You wore those heels.”; He said as she nodded. She smiled at him as he chuckled, he knows there is no one who can catch her. “Try not to get involved with things, we are trying to be normal.”; Aarav said as she nodded and continued eating her food. He looked at her as she kept eating before looking at the heels with a narrowed expression. Finishing their breakfast Aarav went to his room to freshen up and change while Aahana went to dishes when her mobile rang up. She looked at the contacts with raised eyebrows before drying her hands and picking up the call. “Yes”; She answered the call “Ma’am, we have an emergency meeting with CEO.” “And why is that?”; She asked with a sweet tone before putting the call on the loudspeaker. She started doing the dishes again as the man spoke up again. “Well, Mr. Gupta said that he has moved the dealings to tomorrow and before that he wants to know about the budget today itself.”; The man informed her. “Very well, arrange the meeting room. I will be there in an hour.”; she informed as the man became quiet. “But ma’am, he is going to come in half an hour.”; He informed her. Aahana completed her dishes and dried her hands before picking up the phone. “And what does it have to do with me. It is his company, he can come whenever he wants, and I will come when it is my time for reporting.”; She said as she cut off the call before sighing. “Seems like your boss is at it again.”; Aarav said as he came down wearing a white shirt and black pant. His black coat was in his hands as he collected his wallet and other necessities. “I really want to quit this job.”; She said as he chuckled. “I am off.”; He said as he walked out. “Bye.”; She sent him off before getting ready, she left the home just twenty minutes after her brother left. …………………………………………………….. Somewhere else… A lady with beautiful pink hair and blue eyes shed a tear as she looked at the black roses in front of her. She looked nothing like her age, it was as if time has stopped itself and kept her eternal beauty. She rubbed her belly before clenching her fist in anger and guilt, she walked closer to the rose and caressed its black petals which felt like satin between her fingers. “Darling”; A man called for her, making her turn around to look at the man with beautiful blond hair and green eyes. He took looked like a young man; his muscles could not be hidden within his coat. He looked at her with guilty eyes, while her eyes held nothing; no love, no hate. Her look pierced his heart, yet he knows he deserves this and much more. “Don’t call me that.”; The lady commented harshly before walking past him without looking back. She walked out of the garden clenching her fist, it was getting harder and harder for her to see the face of her husband. The man clenched his hand in anger, guilt and self-loathing. He has committed a heinous crime, not once, not twice, but thrice in his three lifetimes. Yes, he has been reincarnated three times, yet he never learned, this is his fourth and now, he has no chance to repent. God, has taken every chance for him to correct his mistake. He looked at the rose, a dark blue colored rose which almost looked black, it reminded him of his crime, it reminded him that he won’t have any more chances. He might have gotten love of his life back, but he has lost someone equally important; someone who was on the receiving end of his crime. “Father”; The man gulped as he turned around and looked at his two sons. Both were tall and in their mid-twenties. The eldest one had light pink hair with green eyes, he was a well-built man while the youngest one had blond hair with blue eyes. Both of them looked at him with remorse, they both were equally guilty of their father’s crime. They knew about their father’s crime and they supported it. They took the task to increase the intensity of the crime for the victim. Their mother talks to them and care for them even after all that because according to her, it was their father’s job to teach them. According to her, they became cruel only because they saw their father doing cruel deeds. But she still keeps a little distance from her sons and husband and they understand that. If it were them, they would have not seen the faces of people like themselves, yet, their mother kept her cool. “I got a letter from the church father.”; The eldest one spoke up making the man look at him with hopeful eyes. “We might just be able to do it.”; He continued as a tear slowly fell down the man’s cheek. He fell down on his knees as his sons ran to him and held him tight. His throat tightened as the tears kept falling in hope and in fear. Both of the son looked at their father and then each other, before they held their father tightly. They had always been selfish and what they are about to do is again selfish. But they cannot help themselves, they want to repent; they want to have a happy family. The youngest looked at the black rose as its petals fluttered in the wind. His eyes went on the swing tied to a big tree, as it silently moved to and fro because of the wind. A single tear went down his cheeks as he stood up and walked to the swing before tracing the seat with his fingers. It was cold, barren; nobody has ever sat on it. It was as if the swing was waiting for someone, someone who used to sit on it.
