Chapter 3
Tom
Tuesday morning, Tom entered the kitchen to find Alex taking a mug out of the microwave, which wasn’t remarkable until he tipped the contents onto a plate.
“Microwaved eggs?” Gross. Tom had tried that a few years back when his frying pans were dirty and he was too lazy to wash one, and the result was a disgusting, rubbery breakfast. Cleaning a frying pan was well worth the effort. Besides, the dishes were all clean except for a couple utensils.
“It’s not that bad,” said Alex.
Yes, it was. He could keep that inedible crap if he liked, but Tom was going to have something tasty. A bagel sandwich would hit the spot.
Halfway through making his breakfast, Tom happened to look over and see Alex frowning at his nuked meal. “Not so tasty after all?”
