The dream
The night was streaked with white flashes and it roared it's way through. As I lay in my room with my little sister, Nikki, I felt afraid. The curtains kept making weird shadows when they fluttered. I could see the full moon peeping through the window as of trying to send me a message. I hugged Nikki and slowly drifted asleep. As I slept my mind filled with images of vampires and werewolves. Eventhough I knew that these supernaturals beings did not actually own the darkness, I badly believed in them and secretly hoped that they did exist.
The crazy truth was that, I believed in supernaturals because I desperately wanted to become one. I've dreamed of becoming a vampire ever since I had seen Twilight and later my desires only intensified after watching The vampire diaries and its sequels eventhough they show a different perspective of vampires. I was so caught up in the supernatural world that I rarely focused on my real life. With all these thoughts running wild, I fell deep asleep.
I woke up feeling hot and bothered. Eventhough the fan was at its highest speed, I could feel the hot rays of the sun pouring through the windows. I had the most bizarre dream. I dreamt that I would become a vampire and all I had to do was travel to a place where I could reveal my true nature. There was this person in my dream that kept on saying my true nature was suppressed by living among the humans and that I had to embrace my other side. God, I should really stop watching all those kinds of movies. Kicking my blue blanket away, I started to get up and shook my sister awake in the process. Dragging myself through the stairs, I found my mom sipping tea, lost in her own thoughts.
