In the blink of an eye

It was a rainy day . Our plans had to be canceled. Sadness filled Lilith's eyes. Lilith:(Sighs) Now I can't go to learn how to drive. If Only you would have thought me better. Joy: and if only someone could have passed the driving test. Do you really think I don't have things to do. I taught you this 6 times. But it was time to show your skills and you let your anxiousness get the better of you, and you wrecked her car. As I turned back I realized that Lilith was no longer standing with me but was rushing off to the car. It was no sooner that a car hit her. Joy: Lilith!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 hour later As I paced around the corridor of the hospital waiting for the doc. He came out Doc Ben: Joy Joy: How is she doc Doc Ben: Well she's asleep but there's bad news. When she fell she hit her head pretty hard and well let's say. She'll start acting weird later on and she is paralyzed from her waist down to her feet. I put my hand over my mouth tears filled my eyes Joy: No! No!, This isn't true. Pls say it isn't true, pls . Doc ben: I'm sorry joy. I went down on my knees and tears that were gathered in my eyes started to roll down. I was devastated. How was I going to explain to my parents. I didn't know what to do 2 days later. Mom: Honey we are home. Dad: Lilith, Joy I got you guys something Mom: Joy? Joy: I'm coming Dad: Where's Lilith? Joy: Well uh. Uhm she went for a sleepover with alya I had to think of something. But I blurted out what came to my mind Mom: Well why didn't she tell us. Normally she tells us where she goes to. I'll call her now Joy: No. I mean uhm. She's probably sleeping and might not want any disturbance. Dad: Ohk. Well I'll go there right now and fetch her. Before I could say anything dad left. I was nervous. After a few minutes he came back looking furious. Dad: Joy. Why did you lie to me Joy: I'm sorry dad the truth is that Lilith's in the hospital Mom: that's where she works Joy:No. She's in the hospital as a patient Mom: What Dad: What As i said that they were shocked. it was hard. I sat them down to explain all that had happened Dad: (In anger) You mean my daughter is now a psychopath and is paralyzed. Way to go joy. Another one of your sister's that you've put in danger. First Lyla who died and now Lilith. Mom: Honey it's not her fault. And you know how Lilith can be. She gets what she wants I know what they taught. I did this again. Like i was always responsible. Some years ago when I was younger and when Lyla my older sister was still alive. My parents treated me well, nicer than now. One day, I was preparing coconuts for the whole family when I cut myself with the knife I was using for the coconut. I tried my best to quickly cover it up, I did that but little did I know the knife broke and a piece was inside. Unfortunately my sister ate that part of the coconut and it tore her lungs and began to choke and right there she died right in front of my eyes. My parents blamed me for it that day. And now I still think about that accident. Mom:What do we do now Joy: Aha! That day when she was hit I stared at the car and caught a glance of the plate number I was known as a girl with a very sharp memory. Joy: Mom, I will fix this. I grabbed my coat and my car keys and drove to the hospital. As soon as I got there I placed a phone call to the doc. Joy: Doc Ben pls I need to see you Doc Ben: Come to my office then. I went to his office and saw him. Then I saw him Doc Ben: What did you want to discuss Joy: Well is there anything that can heal my sister. Doc Ben: Well yes, medication. But that drug costs a ton. A thousand dollars in fact. Joy: I promise my parents I'll help my sister. I don't have that now. But give me some time. I left the hospital headed to John's shop. I entered the shop and saw john. Joy: I need your help John: Hello to you too. I'm great thanks for asking. (Rolls eyes)? Joy:(laughs) John: Why are you here anyways Joy: I'm here for a plate. Well whenever people get their car they come here to verify their plate number so I'm going to tell you the number and you're gonna track the car. Easy right? John: What's the number. Joy:B3N4TRS John: Okay. The car is currently at the park. Anything else? Joy: No thanks for the help I ran off and drove to the park and spotted the car with the exact plate number. I walked up to it and saw a guy sleeping inside. Joy: Wake up!!!!!! Guy: I'm up, I'm up, I'm u.... Wait who are you. Joy: I'm joy. Guy: Yeah so what do u want. Joy: I'm tryna find out who hit my sis with this car. And from what I traced this is the car. Guy: First of all my name's Jacob and second of all this car ain't mine. It's for my boss. Joy: Where is your boss? Guy: He's um... Uhm. Talk to you later byeeee Joy: Wait don't ..... Go I was sad, why did he just leave like that. Joy: I'm gonna follow him. As I pursued him with my car,he changed the direction and I followed. He had no where else to go. So he came down from his car and I did the same. Jacob: What do you want. I already told you that this is not my car and I have nothing to do with the accident of your siste9.. Joy: Hmmmmmmmmmm. Well then I'm getting in your car. You're gonna drive me to your boss. Jacob:(Sigh) Fine As we drove we came across beautiful buildings and houses. I was mesmerized. Then something distracted me. Jacob: Joy,Joy Joy:What Jacob: We're here. Joy: Now take me to see your boss Jacob:Uhmmmm. Joy:Let's go As I stepped out,my jaw dropped to the floor,it was a masion and it was beautiful much bigger than mine. Jacob: Joy? Joy: No response Jacob: Joy???? He said in a much bigger tone Joy: Yes, this is the second time you've called my name when I'm being mesmerized. Jeez Jacob: My house is mesmerizing? Joy: Uhmmmm, uh, y-, I mean no. Absolutely not. Jacob:( Laughs). Let's go inside Joy. As we went inside I saw everything and it was beautiful he has a 3 butlers; Alfred, Jonathan and Mark, 4 Bodyguards and parents. Joy: Don't forget why I'm here. Where is your boss Jacob: Oh yeah right. He's upstairs Jacob took me upstairs and we entered the first room to our left. In the room I saw this guy and apparently it was Jacob's boss. Joy: Hi, I'm joy and you are Walter: I'm am Walter. Jacob's be- Jacob: Jacob's boss. He is my boss. They exchanged eye contact and it kinda looked as if they were communicating with their eyes. After some seconds Walter said Walter: Yes. I'm his boss. Joy: Good. You're coming with me to the police station, so you're under arrest you. You have the right to remain silent otherwise what you say or do can and will be used against you in the court of law. Walter: You can't arrest me Jacob: Yeah you can't Joy:(Sighs) Are you Jacob's boss. Walter: yeah Joy: Good so you're under arrest. Let's go.
