The Lost Alpha

As I ran through the dark forest, beams of moonlight guided my feet. I could hear the heavy breathing of wolves running after me. The sound of branches snapping almost sounding like thunder as the wolves stepped on them. Time passed and I felt like I have run for hours my feet are sore and cut. I started to feel light headed I don’t remember when I last ate. My eyesight had gone blurry and I was starting to lose speed I could almost feel the warm breaths on the back of my neck. I pushed myself to run but my legs couldn’t go much further they almost felt like jelly. I had to hide for a while, I found a tree that looked easy enough to climb. I grabbed the first branch and began to pull myself up, I felt a sharp tug at my leg. The pain was unbearable the burning sensation in my leg. I knew this was my old alpha Seth he had bit me and his venom was now running through my bloodstream. I screamed as I felt the venom slowly make its way through my blood. I fell to the ground and he started to drag me back to the pack house. I wasn’t going back, I managed to lift my other leg and kick Seth in the face as he growled and bared his teeth. I started to push my self back to get away but he pounced on me and stuck his claws into my sides I screamed for help as the pain had consumed my body. My head fell to the ground I lay there lifeless but I was conscious I felt everything but he wants to see me beg for mercy and I won’t. He twisted his claws and I screamed for help once again. No one came to help, most of the pack members surrounded us they stood and watched they were vile people just like their alpha. I saw him get ready to bite me as I struggled to get away from him I felt teeth sink into my soft skin. A series of growls emerged from behind me as I looked around to see what was going on. All of the pack members were cowering away into the forest. Seth had taken his sharp teeth out of my arm and removed his claw from my side. He and two other wolfs guarded me as if they were protecting me. So I tried to make a run for it, my whole body burned as I stood up I looked around and I saw a river. I used the little strength I had left to get out of there as I ran I heard paws hitting off the ground and low growls coming from behind me it was Seth and the other two wolfs. I got to the river as I realised it was too deep to cross I stopped and I looked about the three of them stood in front of me as they growled at me I was thinking what was gonna happen when they take me back. I was snapped back to reality when a black wolf came in between me and Seth. The black wolf slowly walked towards me and I knew he wasn't going to hurt me. He stood tall in front of me to warn Seth and his other two wolfs that if they came near he would attack. Seth growled and the large light brown wolf to his left pounced towards the black wolf. he moved out of the way and bit the side of the wolf's side. The brown wolf lay on the ground and the black wolf gave out a growl that felt like it shook the ground. The wolf got up from the ground and walked away back to Seth. The black wolf was once again guarding me, Seth looked at the wolf's beside him and gave a growl the two wolfs walked away as Seth stood there. He looked over the wolf and he was just staring at me with his teeth bared. He walked away and looked at me one last time before he disappeared into the thick dark forest. I knew he was coming back for me and it was going to be soon. The wolf approached me and I stumbled backwards falling into the shallow water. He walked beside me and helped me up to stand. As I stood up it felt like my whole body was on fire, the venom had spread through most of my body. Everything started to get blurry once again but this time it's because of the venom and the amount of blood I have lost. As I fell to the ground I heard bones cracking before I could see what the black wolf looked like everything went black. I heard a gentle voice say ”I've got you.”
