An Affair With The Alpha

DAMIEN’s POV….. My head was swirling at this point. For another time, I tried to convince myself that I was only hallucinating or trying to make things up. However, the look she wore on her face implied that this was reality and everything that was currently taking place was surreal. "Are you trying to tell me that I can’t make love to my Luna?" I asked with a cracked voice, searching through her eyes as though the answer to my question lay there. She huffed and folded her hands to her chest without a glint of emotion or guilt in her eyes. The amount of boldness she exuded got me scared, but I wore a stern look and moved closer to her. "I want to have a child! "I'm the alpha of this pack, and don’t you know that people are talking already?" I asked aloud, pouring out my frustration right before her. This was a critical situation at the moment. The elders were beginning to ask questions, and I needed no one to tell me that it was the same for others in the pack. How was it possible for an alpha to have stayed for close to three years without having a child with his Luna?The worst part was that it wasn’t any form of medical condition or any other underlying factor, but the denial of my Luna to make love to me. "I’m not in the mood to lay with you!" Ella said defiantly as she rolled her eyes at me and returned to folding the clothes in her closet. I staggered slightly but quickly retained my stance. Tears threatened to fall out of my eyes, but I blinked them away right before they came off. Ella became my Luna almost three years ago. Before that time, I knew a little about her, but from all what I knew, I pointed out that she was a great woman. However, the moment she became my Luna, everything changed. She barely came close to me, and each time I did, she created an excuse about how she wasn’t desiring any form of fun. It was quite ridiculous and at first, I shoved it off as a normal attitude with women while hoping that she would change in no time. But to my dismay, it only got worse. "Don’t you want a child Or aren’t you interested in what they say about you?" I asked with a confused gaze, while she chuckled calmly and walked over to me. "You should know me by now. The last thing I’m interested in is the never-ending rumors from the crazy people at the pack. And I would have a child when I want to, and with whom I want to!" She blurted out and dashed out of the room. I blinked severally, hoping that it was merely a dream. The pain in my heart reached a crescendo, and I couldn’t stop my body from shivering as a result of the effect it came with. Just then, a knock at the door interrupted me. It was a servant who had come to inform me of the meeting I was scheduled to have with my council of elders. "I would be there in no time", I muttered under my breath as I quickly closed the door and pulled my coat over my shoulders. With a wobbly foot, I dashed out of my room and towards the meeting room in the pack. The moment I walked in, the atmosphere turned silent, and the whispers that had clouded the air seconds ago died off.A small scoff escaped my lips as I glared at each of the elders who were sitting, with suspicious looks on their faces. One could easily point out that I was the subject of discussion right before I walked in. "Bring it on! I can tell that you all were talking about me", I chimed out, with my hands folded to my chest and my eyes scanning each of them. They cleared their throats, as though none of them were able to summon up the courage to speak. "We are the elders of the pack and despite how hard we would love to protect your feelings, we can’t keep quiet about something so significant and relevant to the growth and strength of our pack", the first elder said while I thinned my lips and listened on. "You need a child, dear alpha", the second elder said, and my heart dropped. It felt strange to see that as an alpha, I had to plead with my Luna to make love to me. It was hard to see that it was an issue I faced which couldn’t be relayed to anyone in the pack. I was in the situation alone, and thoughts of that made me drown in misery. "Does the Luna have some sort of problem, which we have no idea of? We can call for physicians from other packs in the western and northern parts of the world. There would always be a solution", another elder said, while I scoffed and chuckled calmly. I tried to talk, but the words were stuck to my throat. It felt as though I would pour out the feelings in my heart the moment I opened my lips. At this, I swallowed back the words and stood to my feet. "If I have a situation, I will definitely let you know. For now, the meeting is over", I said defiantly, and started walking out of the room. I could hear their silent murmurs, but that was the least concern in my heart. Just as I walked, I bumped into someone who landed on the ground with a thud. I heard a shattering sound, but I wasn’t willing to care about who or what had happened. My heart was thumping, and all I wanted to do was crawl into my luscious, soft bed and cry away my misery. Just then, I heard a soft knock on my door, and almost immediately, someone walked into the room.Firstly, I observed an aura that was hard to ignore, and slowly, I lifted my head to stare at who it was. It was a lady, a charming one.
