The life of a villain: Coup Mortel

They say most heroes will save the world before their loved one, and that never set right with me. For Elliot, I'd let the world burn. Nothing matters more to me than him. This is the tragic tale of how I became the most notorious villain in all of France. They call me Coup Mortel, and they fear me. Elliot was the kind of man all girls would want. He was the CEO of the finest diamond company in all of France. And oh boy was he a looker. He had a smile as big as the Eiffel Tower and teeth as white as pearls. And don't get me started with his eyes. They were as blue as the ocean. I could just get lost in them for hours on end. But when you looked past his looks, he was a good, charitable, and noble man. He was always there for those in need. I remember the day that I met him. He was feeding the homeless and looked so good in the apron that he wore. He served me meatloaf, but after the meal was over he sat with me the entire night. We talked for hours about life, and all the hardships we have. It was the first time in my entire life that I had someone to talk to. He made me feel like a human rather than the lowly nobody that I was. Getting married to him was the best decision that I ever made, despite the fact that his entire family and friends didn't approve of me. I was a woman with nothing. I didn't have a dollar to my name, a place to live, or even parents that were alive to meet him. The judgment of everyone around us was hard, but his love was the greatest feeling in the entire world. Not long after, we moved in together. Life was so good from then on out. There were many blissful nights filled with love and laughter. Shortly after that, we became a family of three. Elliot and I had a beautiful baby girl, and she was the joy of our lives. I loved her more than life itself and vowed to always protect her and her daddy. They were the best thing life had to offer for me. Eliza and Elliot were the exact things that I needed for my life to feel complete. Then came that disastrous day, when all that came crashing down. I had run to the grocery store to buy stuff to make dinner with, but by the time I returned, my family was gone, and the only thing left was a note. The note read "We warned you that if you didn't leave Elliot, we'd take all you cared about. You'll never be able to find them, and you were warned. You should have heeded our warning." From that day forward, I swore that I was going to find the one that took them from me, and demand an answer about the whereabouts of my family. I swore that they were going to be safe, even if it cost me my life or others their lives.
