Brooklyn I dragged my hands down my waist, feeling the beaded texture of the sky blue evening gown I had just slipped into. It had to be the most expensive thing I’ve ever worn. Luckily Jillian already had it in her closet. She said she ordered it last year for a gala she was invited to but never wore it because the color didn’t match the theme. This was one of ten she had me try on. The others were either too long or too loose around my chest. “There, all done.” Jillian said triumphantly before stepping back and admiring her work.
