(Brooklyn) “Just put it right there.” “Where?” “There!” “Like this?” “Just give it to me.” The sound of muffled voices pulled me awake. I started to sit up, when someone suddenly went rushing out of the room, making me look around in confusion. I blinked my eyes rapidly, wondering If this was some type of dream because this was not how I remembered the room looking before I fell asleep. It was like the entire room had been transformed into a Christmas wonderland. Christmas lights were hung from the walls, lighting up the room with the soft glow of red, blue, green, and orange. There was a tree in the corner covered in ornaments, and had a big gold star that sat crookedly on top. The entire room had random ribbons and bows strewn about in the oddest places.
