Forbidden Love

Emma is in her room getting ready for Christmas lunch with her in laws, Emma and her fiance, Will, spend most of their time with his family, family bonding is very important to them and Emma is stuck in this rut of having to go there all the time, which to her is very annoying. Like where is the balance? Her family sometimes wonders whether Will is still alive because he barely visits, be it as it may, Emma sticks to this weekly routine. She chose this man after all and doesn't want to create unnecessary conflict. "Emma, are you done yet? we need to leave, we are going to be late" - Will shouts at Emma from the bottom of the stairs. " I am going to wait in the car" - very annoyed, he doesn't understand why women need to be so pedantic about their appearance. "I am coming, jee you don't have to yell at me" - Emma responds very irritated. "He is such a prick sometimes, but I love him." Emma just finished her hair and makeup, she is inspecting her neatly packed closet for clothes, which she can't find - " So much clothes and nothing to where" - she grabs a casual floral off the shoulder dress, throws it over her head, trying not to get foundation all over it. She slips on her silver sandals and makes her way downstairs. "You look beautiful" - Will winks at her from the car, knowing that his actions annoyed her, but she can't help laughing at this man of hers. They arrive at his parents' place, Will,s mom always goes above and beyond with Christimas, their house always looks like something from a Hallmark movie, the only thing missing is the snow. She even decorates the bathrooms, Will' dad built a postbox for potential grandkids to post their letters to santa, probably also a hint to tell us that we need to make a plan. Will's sister Jessica and her husband Theo are already there. Emma sees Theo sitting on the couch and she plonks herself next to him. Theo and Emma are best friends, "So Theo how is the new business going?- Theo sighs-"It is going very slow, I think I went in way over my head with this one, it isn't going as I thought it would" - Emma looks at Theo quite confused, it has only been 3 months since Theo started this business, so obviously miracles aren't going to happen over night. "Theo isn't it too soon to expect success, I mean you barely started". While Theo and Emma were talking about his "sinking" business, a couple walks in. Emma looks around and sees this man and his wife joining them on the patio. Theo stands up and greets his brother and his wife. "Let me introduce you guys to everyone"- they walk over to Emma, she stands up. "Emma, this is my brother Jason and his wife Leila, this is Emma"- Emma stands up to greet these new people she has never seen before. "Nice to meet you" - Leila embraces Emma in a hug, which she found totally weird, she is not a very touchy feely person, especially with people she just met, she waits for Leila to release her, Jason sticks his hand out to greet her, their eyes meet, and he stares at her for an uncomfortable long time. Emma just looked at him. Jason eventually snaps out of his gaze, checking who saw him. Luckily Leila and Theo made their way to everyone else. Jason stands there thinking " what the hell just happened, I have never met this women before". Emma walks to the drinks table - "ok that was weird, was there something on my face or my teeth? Why did this guy look at her like that?". "Ok everyone lunch is served" - Will's mom July enters the patio with a big turkey and places it in the middle of the table. Everyone dishes up their food and the chatter continues. Unfortunately for Emma she ends up next to Jason. "Can you please pass me the gravy bowl?" Jason grabs the gravy bowl and hands it to her. " Sure here you go, their hands touch for a bit when she takes the bowl from him. She just gives him this death stare, with an annoyed look on her face. He looks away uncomfortably, he doesn't know how to act with this women sitting next to him. July and Emma engage in conversation regarding their wedding plans and what still needs to be done. Emma stands up to go put her plate in the dishwasher in the kitchen. Will's parents are very pedantic about their house and the cleanliness of it. She makes her way to the bathroom to wash her hands and freshen up. "Well there you go nothing on my face, that dude is all sorts of crazy" - she dries her hands and opens the bathroom door. Jason stands there in the doorway, he gave her a big fright, she didn't expect someone to be standing there. She looks at him, but before she says anything, she notices his masculine figure, the way his shirt wraps around his arms and his jeans excentuating his upper thighs and hips. "Are you stalking me now?". She pushes passed him to go back to her seat. He turns around not knowing what to respond, thinking about her body that just briefly brushed agianst him, he just looks at her walking away talking to himself "what are you doing to me?"... "Thank you everyone, we enjoyed your company today" July is busy clearing the table, Jessica and Leila are helping to put away the dishes. Emma takes the bag of full of torn Christmas wraaping and walks outside to go and throw it away. She stands there thinking she will take a quick smoke, while no one is around. Theo catches her outside -" Will is going to have a fit if he finds you out here smoking" - Emma proceeds to light the sigarette -" I won't tell him if you won't, so what's up with your brother, why haven't you ever mentioned you have one?". Theo ruffles his hair , knowing Emma is a bit disappointed, they are best friends after all "Well my brother and I didn't get along and they lived far away, we recently made contact and we decided to put our differences aside. I actually have 3 brothers and 2 sisters". Emma throws the sigarette away. "And the plot thickens, I am glad you reconnected with your brother"."Emma!" - Will is calling her from inside the house. He finds her outside with Theo, "Come Emma it is time to go home now". Emma greets Theo and she fetches her bag from the patio, they greeted everyone, she greets Jason with a quick bye and walks out. Leila quickly goes outside to stop Emma - "Emma! , we are having a get together next weekend you and Will should come" - Emma turns around about to answer with a "maybe next time" and Will interjects " Sure we will definitely be there". Emma looks at Will, like why did he just do that. Emma and Will gets into the car and they make their home. Emma is very tired, she gets into the shower, thinking about today's events and Jason's odd behavior towards her and now they have to go and visit them next weekend. "Well let's not think about that now, I need to mentally prepare myself" - she gets into bed and switches off the light. "Good night my love, love you!" - she kisses Will. " Good night Em, I love you more" - both of them doze of in a deep sleep.
