Epilogue
I don’t have to wonder what ever happened to Matthew. I know he is happily married to his Lindsay and they have two beautiful children. I see them every now and then around town. His kids may never know who I am and that’s okay, they don’t need to. Once, Lindsay saw me, she waved slightly and I waved back. I know this, I pray for them whenever I pray for my own family. I’d like to say I pray every day, but I don’t.
I often think how God used different people to help me in my life. Once I had my babies and realized how difficult it was at times, I thought of Sophia often and loved her more for it. A mother’s role is different from the role of a sister or brother, and so is the relationship. Because of her I make sure that my kids are never made to be responsible for each other. I
