WALK AWAY
I think I will walk away and leave my heart behind,
I don’t want the trouble that it brings.
It seems I’ll never learn that my heart just isn’t kind,
It brings nothing but hurt and pain.
So I’ll rip it out this very day and abandon it right here,
That way I can move forward in life.
I don’t have to ponder about you not being near,
Or about never being your wife.
I’ll date someone else and be happy too,
But I’ll never submit my heart.
