They sat to tell each other
That they’d found somebody new.
Years ago, they understood
Their relationship was through.
Smiling they bear to listen
To what the other has to say.
Swapping glory stories
Of the years that passed away.
It doesn’t seem to faze them
As they say their last goodbyes.
They don’t suspect the other
Also covered love with lies.
Today they met hoping to find
They both still felt the same.
Yet they walk away not knowing
The other heart’s in pain.
