It's been two weeks and I haven't heard anything from Ayden since the incident at Jesslyn and Alias' house. I didn't bother to even call him because I knew he was still upset. There were times when I wanted to call him to see how he was doing. And possibly, be able to see him, but I didn't want to seem desperate. Today was the day that I did a monthly check-up at the doctor's office. As I sat in the waiting room to see Dr. Norstrom, I called Dylan to check if he was on his way. "Hello, honey," Dylan said into the phone. "Are you on your way?" "Yes, I am. I'm just down the street. I'll be there in a minute. Are you still in the waiting room?" I glanced around at the men and women around me, then sighed. "Yeah, I am," I admitted. "It's so packed today." "Well, you did come on a Saturday. Besides, you always want to make this a daily month for you." "I haven't done anything for two weeks, Dy. Why do I have to come? Ayden is clean and I'm clean." "I'm coming in." Dylan hung up the phone and I glanced over by the double doors. Dylan walked in and I waved to let him know I where I was. He walked over and took a seat beside me. "It doesn't matter if you haven't had s*x in two weeks," Dylan whispered to me. "You never know unless you get checked out. We wouldn't have to be here if you weren't barebacking him." I nudged him, releasing a light chuckle from my lips. He always had something to say. "Just get checked out, okay?" He told me. "It's nothing wrong with making sure you're good." I nodded my head before I rested it against Dylan's shoulder. The door to the back opened up and a nurse walked out. "Natalie?" The nurse called my name. Dylan and I got up from our seats and walked over to the door. The nurse moved out of the way and we went inside. *** Dylan and I waited in a small private room. They had just finished taking blood and swabs for the std testing. Then, they had me pee in a cup for a pregnancy test. Didn't understand the pregnancy test since I was not pregnant. Getting restless, I placed my hands on the counter and began tapping my nails. "Why is it taking so long?" I asked, getting annoyed. "You didn't see that waiting room back there?" "I did, but we have some photos to take at the studio. I wanted to get those done so we can send them off to a few studios." "We'll be able to do that. You act like we're staying here all day." A knock came on the door, then it opened. A male doctor walked in, clutching a folder in his hand with papers sticking out of it. He shut the door and extended his hand to both Dylan and me. "How are you?" He asked us, shaking our hands. "I'm Dr. Moreno. I'm your doctor today." "Nice to meet you," I told him. "Before I began, this is for you." I took the folder from his hand and opened it up. It was basically a bunch of resource papers. Dr. Moreno took a seat in front of the computer and began clicking away. The room was silent. However, I was the first one to break it. "Um, what is this?" I asked, taking the newsletter out and showing it to Dr. Moreno. The newsletter had a baby on the front of it and a bunch of words and paragraphs I had no interests in. Dr. moreno stopped typing and glanced over at me. "That's a pregnancy newsletter." Dr. Moreno explained to me. "Um, you must've given it to me by mistake." I smiled. Dr. Moreno just stared at me with a blank expression. "I didn't." He told me. "Your urine tested positive." "Positive for what?" "You're pregnant." I looked at Dylan, who just stared back at me with nothing to say. Shaking my head, I glanced back at Dr. Moreno, who went back to typing. "I'm not pregnant," I told him. "You are." "I'm telling you I'm not. You might need to run those tests again." Dr. Moreno stopped typing again and looked back over at me. "Natalie, our tests are 99.9% accurate." Dr. Moreno told me. "What happened to the 1%?" Dr. Moreno sighed. "I understand this news is frightening. However, doing another test is irrelevant because it's going to show the same thing. A positive result." I shook my head and got up from the chair. If he wasn't going to test, then I was going to go to the stores and grab some tests myself. Dr. Moreno finished typing, then got up from his seat. "I would like to see you back here in two weeks." He told me. "I want to do an ultrasound to see how far along you are." "Don't waste your appointment," I told him. "I'm not coming back here." Fuming, I opened the door and stormed out. "Thank you." I heard Dylan tell Dr. Moreno. I walked back into the waiting room and walked to the exit. "Natalie, wait!" Dylan shouted. I ignored him. At that moment, I had one main focus and that was to prove that f*****g doctor wrong. He had me so mad to the point I was ready to cry in that parking lot. "Natalie!" Dylan shouted. Sighing, I stopped and turned to him. Dylan rushed to me and stopped right in front of me. "Honey, it's okay." He told me. "We'll figure something out." "Dylan, I'm not pregnant," I told him. "There's no way I'm pregnant." "Natalie, the test said you were." "THE TEST IS A f*****g LIE, OKAY?!" Dylan stopped talking. I shook my head before I turned and walked to my car. "What are you going to do?" Dylan asked me. "I'm going to the store," I told him. "I'll come with you, then." I unlocked the door to my car and got in. *** Dylan and I leaned against the wall, staring at the six used pregnancy tests that I had used. They all had the same plus symbol on it. Just staring at them, brought my whole world completely down. I had nothing to say at that point. I just let the tears fall without even thinking about wiping them away. "Nat, I..." "Don't." I closed my eyes and shook my head at Dylan. "Don't say it." "Natalie, you have to tell him." Fuck that. I wasn't telling Ayden anything. It was his f*****g fault that I was in that predicament in the first place. He knew I didn't want any kids due to my modeling career and yet, here I was, finding out I was f*****g pregnant. My blood was boiling at that very moment. "I'm not keeping it." I told him. "He still needs to know." I opened my eyes back up and watched Dylan move to the sink counter. He grabbed one of the tests and stared at it. "Natalie..." "No, I'm not telling him." "You have to." "Dylan..." Dylan glanced at me and shook his head at me. He wasn't happy with me at all. He put the test down and turned to me with his arms folded. "You need to call him now." Dylan insisted. "I'm not doing that." I told him. "I don't want nothing to do with it." "If you don't, then I will." Dylan was being an asshole at that moment. He knew this was hard for me and it was like he didn't care. "Why are you making this hard for me?" "I've been by your side for many years and I've never judged you before. I've always sided with you for everything. However, this one, I can't do it. You didn't just lay down and create this child by yourself. You're being selfish." "I can be selfish with my body. It's my body! Not yours! Not Ayden's, but mine!" "And you're carrying his baby. Not just yours, but his as well. I could understand if he was hurting you and harming you, but that man has done nothing, but try to be with you. You're the one being a b***h and pushing him away." "A b***h? Wow, Dylan." Dylan stopped talking before he turned and walked out of the bathroom. "Where are you going?" I asked him as I walked out as well. "I'm going home." Dylan told me. "I thought we were doing a photoshoot today?" Dylan stopped at the front door, then turned to face me. "Natalie, I'm not working with you until you do what I suggested." "Why are you so pressed about me telling him? This child probably won't be here by next week anyways." Dylan just stared at me for a minute. "You're terminating the pregnancy?" He questioned me. "I don't want to be a mom." "Then, give it to someone who would. How do you know Ayden doesn't want to be a father." "Why are you so focused on Ayden?! It's not about him! I'm the one carrying a f*****g burden! Why not care about me?!" Dylan chuckled and again, he shook his head at me. "Natalie, that's all you do is care about yourself. Try caring about someone else for a f*****g change." Dylan opened the front door and walked out. Sighing, I went to the front door, then slammed it shut. Taking a seat on the couch, I glanced around the lonely living room. Sighing, I took my phone out of my pocket and went to the contacts. Ayden's name popped up, immediately. Taking a deep breath, I pressed his name, letting the phone dial his number.
